Selenia: Eventually I Will Rule it all!
Chapter 35: Meeting a Commander.

Chapter 35: Meeting a Commander.

Chapter 35: Meeting a Commander.

(Selenia’s POV)

My soldiers and I have controlled this kingdom for a few days. With absolutely no resistance from the populace, it was very easy to control. Not like I have issued any decrees, as I am not a queen. Champetri wouldn’t be my first pick for a kingdom to rule over…

Vana: “General Selenia. Commander Semarica is here to visit you.” She said with a salute.

Selenia: “Commander Semarica?” I ask with a head tilt.

Before Vana could explain it to me, there was a knock on the door, and the door opened up right away. A woman showed up, and she looked quite fierce. Though, she oddly felt familiar…

Commander Semarica: “Hello, General Selenia. The rest of you, please leave. I have to talk to Selenia in private.” She ordered.

Now, it was just me and this oddly familiar woman. I was sitting on a couch, and she was sitting on the opposite one. Before the maids left, they brewed us some tea, and both the woman and I were sipping on our tea. It tasted pretty good.

Commander Semarica: “General Selenia. You have gone above and beyond for this mission.” She praised.

Selenia: “Thank you. Might I ask where Lieutenant Cirilia Sarns is?” I ask.

Commander Semarica: “She stayed behind at your fort. We can’t leave it unattended, after all.” She answered.

Selenia: “I see… Semi, are you just going to pretend to not know me? I did ride on your back, after all.” I reply with a smug grin.

Commander Semarica: “…”

Semi looked around the entire place, making sure that no one else was present. That reaction tells me that I was right on the money about her actually being Semi. Her human form was very similar to her dragon one.

She didn’t have any scales, or anything like that. She looked like a normal human. But her emerald green hair was the same color as her scales, and her eyes were the same color as well. Frankly, those two factors are what made me so sure that this woman actually was Semi.

Semi: “How did you figure it out?” She asked with a curious tone.

Selenia: “Like how someone asked me the same question just a few days ago, I guessed.” I reply with a shrug.

Semi: “Really? Did your Goddess tell you about my human form?” She replied.

Selenia: “Nope. I haven’t talked to her since the first time… Wait! How did you know that I was blessed?” I say with a shocked tone.

Semi: “Cirilia isn’t aware of me also being her dragon, but we’re very good friends. I am also her commander, and it doesn’t hurt our relationship. Of course, she informed me of you being blessed, but she didn’t mention who blessed you.” She explained.

Selenia: “Ah, so you don’t know? That’s good…” My words were cut off by Semi’s next sentence.

Semi: “There is only one Goddess, so I already know who it is, silly.” She said with a laugh.

Selenia: “…”

Damn… She played me like a fiddle! No, wait… I think that it is sorta Marika’s fault, as she didn’t inform me of the other higher beings that are interested in this dimension. Ah, that’s right. I can just blame my Goddess for this slip up. Surely, they won’t be any divine punishment dished out to me for this! Surely…

Selenia: “…What are you doing here, anyway?” I ask with a sigh.

Semi: “Well, I do have to check in on you, and take this kingdom off your hands. My soldiers are already here, and more will come within a month to fully secure Champetri.” She answered.

Selenia: “Oh? So I am getting kicked out of a kingdom that I’ve taken over yet again?” I jokingly reply.

Semi: “Correct. Or rather, you’re required to go to Sooven’s capital city.” She replied.

Selenia: “Huh? Please don’t tell me that I am going to be executed…” I ask with a nervous tone.

Semi: “No, no. It is just for you to officially become a General, and for you to receive a noble name.” She quickly replied.

Selenia: “Eh, that sounds like a hassle.” I reply with a pout.

Semi: “…”

Oddly, Semi started laughing like crazy. Yup… The only good members of the military are people like Semi and Radahn. Everyone else is just bad, or decent at best. Most of the time, I would say that noble military members are just too stuck up. Well, to be fair, I haven’t really met many of them…

Semi: “That is almost exactly what Cirilia said a few years back. Anyway, the Alwessal Empire thinks that you died, but Sooven’s people are still aware that you live.” She said with a laugh.

Selenia: “Huh!? Then what was the point of faking my death?” I ask with an angry tone.

Semi: “Sooven has no desire to kill you. Alwessal Empire’s main people are who you angered by taking over Tarina. I tell you this, as once you get your military rank, it will be a game of people trying to adopt you into their family.” She explained.

Selenia: “That sounds even worse…” I say with an annoyed groan.

Semi: “Yes. Ah, I remember that moment for Cirilia like it was just yesterday… The Sarn family won, but it actually devolved into a straight up fight. The matter was drawn out, with multiple families deciding it with duels.” She said with a reminiscing tone.

Selenia: “What? So I can’t choose who adopts me?” I ask with a nervous tone.

Semi: “Oh, you can, don’t worry. Cirilia chose a few families and said families dished it out until the Sarn family was victorious.” She reassured.

Selenia: “So I will get to watch tons of noble families fight over me? That sounds quite funny…” I say with a small giggle.

Semi: “Yes, yes. Cirilia found it funny as well. You two sure are a match made in heaven. Don’t worry, I fully support your relationship with her.” She said with a thumbs up.

Ah, so that gesture exists in this fantasy world as well? Interesting… And what the heck does she mean by our relationship? Cirilia and I aren’t together. At least, we haven’t gotten together yet…

Semi, or rather, Commander Semarica, gave me a royal decree. Said royal decree stated that my appearance is required at Sooven’s royal capital, where I would be given a rank and a noble name. With that, I was supposed to set off tomorrow. As I tried to get some sleep, my mind was on Cirilia…
