Chapter 38: Princess Life.

(Selenia’s POV)

Resoria had a lot of work to do. It was like she was the real person that ran this kingdom. Though I have been at the castle for a few days, I barely see Resoria around at all. King Houst treats me like his real daughter. Inviting me to a morning meal, things like that.

Houst: “Selenia, will you return to your fort?” He asked.

Selenia: “Do I have to?” I reply.

Houst: “No. If you wish, you can stay here for as long as you wish. Though, if want to stay, you will have to attend the royal academy in a few months.” He replied.

Selenia: “Royal academy?” I reply with a raised eyebrow.

Houst: “Yes. The royal academy of the Alwessal Empire is located at the capital city of Alwessal, and is open to all.” He explained.

Selenia: “Open to all? Is their any requirements for attending it?” I ask.

Houst: “Most will have to do an entrance exam, but as you’re a princess, it isn’t required.” He replied.

An academy? Well, considering that I don’t even know how to read yet, this would be a good idea. Attending an academy in a fantasy world does sound somewhat interesting, after all.

Selenia: “Hmm… I wouldn’t mind going.” I say, after thinking about it for a bit.

Houst: “You won’t have to worry about any trouble.” He said with a smile.

Selenia: “Why is that?” I ask with a head tilt.

Houst: “Cirilia Sarns, despite refusing to attend the academy for many years, has agreed to go if you attend. And, Resoria has agreed to be a teacher at the academy if you attend as well.” He informed.

Selenia: “I see… Yes. Having them with me would be a great help. Sure, I would love to attend.” I reply.

Houst: “Wonderful! I will make sure everything is in order for you to attend.” He replied.

As I was about to say thanks, the door to the dining room abruptly opened up. Resoria came into the room. She looked somewhat tired, but in high spirits. An odd combination…

Resoria: “That won’t be necessary, Father.” She said after sitting down at the table.

Like it was already planned out in advance, a meal was brought out for Resoria. Houst and I were a decent ways into our breakfast, and Resoria hadn’t attended a morning meal since I came here. Which is why I was surprised by the quick serving of food for her.

Houst: “And why is that? Do you not agree with Selenia attending? Wasn’t it your idea in the first place?” He asked with a confused tone.

Resoria: “I have already dealt with everything required for Selenia to attend the academy. Two weeks from now, Selenia and I will leave for the academy. I hope that you can see us off at that time, Father.” She answered.

Houst: “…”

Ah, so that’s what she was busy with this entire time, huh? Let’s just ignore the fact that she did this without her father’s permission. After the meal, I went to take a bath. Yes, I did take one this morning. But that was just for me to get clean.

As a modern person, I just can’t get enough of taking a bath. Especially since it was a hard thing to be able to experience in this world. Yup. Like a true princess, I will be taking a bath to just relax. That said, why are you following me, Resoria?!

Resoria: “Can’t I take a bath with you, Selenia? After all, we’re sisters now.” She asked with an innocent tone.

Selenia: “…”

Resoria: “?”

With a sigh, I got Resoria to lean down so that I could quietly speak into her ear. This wasn’t something that other should hear, after all.

Selenia: “If you take a bath with me, I won’t be able to get your body out of my head. Do you really want to be the reason why a child can not get her required hours of sleep?” I whisper into her ear with a joking tone.

I expected her to blush in embarrassment and not want to take a bath with me. But instead, I seemed to have seduced her once more by accident… The lust in her eyes quickly cooled as she looked down at my body.

Unlike that sick fucking pervert, Albert, Resoria wasn’t interested in my body at all. Which is good. Even if she has feelings for me, I would be weirded out if my child body aroused her. As I thought this, Resoria leaned in once more.

Resoria: “You’re right. It wouldn’t be fair that you could lust after my body, but I can’t do the same for you. True to your words, you want to have an equal and honest relationship with me. Okay, I won’t take a bath with you.” She whispered with a seductive tone into my ear before she walked away.

Selenia: “…”

In a daze, I was guided to the bath by two maids. As I entered the bath, only one maid followed me in. This shouldn’t be required, and I already knew who this rule breaking maid actually was.

Selenia: “Saya, why are you so good at sneaking around?” I ask with a sigh.

Saya: “It is just in my nature, I guess?” She replied.

Selenia: “…”

Saya: “Though, I have to say, Selenia, I didn’t expect for you to get this far so soon. From an unimportant child, to a General, and now a princess?” She praised.

Selenia: “Yes, it seems that luck is on my side.” I reply before taking my clothes off and getting into the bath.

Saya wasn’t a pervert either, so I didn’t mind her seeing me naked. What is there to even see?… At least, compared to Resoria, both Cirilia breasts and mine are pretty small. Ah, that makes me less vexed by Resoria having big breasts!

Saya: “Are you planning on taking over the throne from Princess Resoria? With enough snooping, it is easy to figure out that Houst plans to give the throne to her.” She asked with a curious tone.

Selenia: “No. I don’t need to take it from her.” I reply.

Saya: “Huh? But isn’t your plan to get a foothold in Sooven, and then slowly start to take over the empire?” She asked with a confused tone.

Selenia: “Resoria loves me, so she is on my side. I don’t need to take it over. Besides, I will be attending the academy in two weeks.” I answer.

Saya: “She loves you? Selenia… even if she is a Princess, you shouldn’t give your body to a pervert.” She advised with a serious tone.

Selenia: “Thankfully, she isn’t a pervert like that Albert was. My body does nothing for her at the moment. You see, I once saved Resoria a while back, which is one of the reasons why she loves me.” I explain.

Saya: “…Alright. I won’t get in the way of your love life, Selenia.” She said with a shrug.

Selenia: “Don’t tell me that you have feelings for me as well…” I say with a nervous tone.

Saya: “No way! I already have a girlfriend!” She quickly denied.

After talking to Saya for a bit, she eventually left. I continued to stew in the bath for a while. Almost falling asleep, I got out of the bath. There was already a change of clothes waiting for me in the bath, which I changed into. Now then, how should I spend these two weeks that I will be free of all work?…
