Chapter 68: Skipped.

Chapter 68: Skipped.

(Selenia’s POV)

It has been two years since I met my third wife. Talking to that cheeky Goddess of ours, she said that it was amazingly unlikely that I would ever get a fourth wife. Which I was fine with.

Hey, you try having three domineering women pleasuring you into oblivion. Ah, some people, like me, for example, would actually like the idea of that… But adding just another woman would just be too much.

Unfortunately, during these two years at the academy, there were many people who tried to pursue Resoria, Cirilia, and me. Zella was safe, as no one, besides me, was brave enough to try and seduce her. Well… she was the one who seduced me, so maybe I wasn’t really that brave?…

Luckily, none of them were anything to worry about at all. They mostly had the backing of powerful families, but such things weren’t enough to get our attention. Instead, all they earned was our annoyance. That is to say, everyone else besides this one woman…

Grace: “Hello, Lady Selenia. It is a fine day, isn’t it?” she asked with a smile.

Selenia: “That’s a bad pickup line, Grace.” I reply with a sigh.

Grace was… well, just a normal woman. Being that of the combat teacher of this academy. Why do I only attract mature women? Sure, my fellow female students tried to woo me, but that was for benefits.

This woman, Grace… She actually had feelings for me. But it is a shame that we are not fated to be with each other. Why not deal with her easily? That is because she is a reincarnater, just like me. Not to mention, she is a blessed being as well.

Specifically, she is one of the blessed beings that we must kill. Even worse, this woman was straight up my yandere wife. I won’t get mad at her for falling in love with another woman, but how the fuck did she end up finding me!?

Grace: “Selenia… Why can’t we be together? I assure you that I will always love and care for you.” She said with a confident tone.

Selenia: “So you say, but apart from a few people, you’ve killed various people that have sought my hand in marriage already.” I reply.

Grace: “Surely, you jest.” She said with a denying laugh.

This woman was extremely similar to how she acted in our past life. Her acting was always amazing, completely fooling everyone in her life. Even me. But since I caught her eye, people have been vanishing.

I honestly doubt that Grace has turned a new leaf in this life. She is most likely killing them just like she did before. Up to her old tricks, it seems… Luckily, it was time for her to teach class, and I didn’t attend her class today.

Now at Resoria’s office, I was going to tell her about Grace. After all, our relationship is that good. We need to explain to each other when we have problems. And I have a decent problem at the moment…

Selenia: “Resoria, you are aware that Teacher Grace is interested in me, right?” I ask.

Resoria: “I am aware, but it isn’t a problem. You won’t fall for her.” She replied with a nonchalant tone.

Selenia: “…She is also one of the blessed beings that we must kill. Not to mention, she is my wife from my past life.” I continue.

Resoria: “She isn’t.” She quickly replied.

Selenia: “?”

Resoria: “I am your wife from that life, Selenia. Grace is just another yandere, similar to how I was then.” She explained.

Selenia: “…”

What?… It… it can’t be… Resoria isn’t lying, either… Have… have I been tricked once again by her?

Resoria: “Selenia… can you believe in me? I will never hurt you, and I have surely proved that by not killing Zella and Cirilia. Let alone anyone else in your life.” She asked with a nervous expression.

Selenia: “I…I stupidly believe you.” I say with a groan.

Resoria: “Good… then shall I explain what happened?” She asked, to which I nodded in reply.

Hours Later.

It really wasn’t that much of an explanation. Basically, Resoria went through this life mostly unaware of her past life. About when I found her all those years ago, did she finally recall her memories of that life.

Once she did, Resoria didn’t change much from how she was in this life. The yandere in her was still there, but unlike before, she could control it. Once Resoria realized that I was her wife from that life, she wasn’t able to admit to it.

Resoria: “Please… Selenia… Can you forgive me for what I did? I… I will never hurt you again. Nor will I kill those around you that don’t wish you harm. I swear… I swear upon my everything. Please… don’t leave me.” She asked, struggling to hold her tears back.

Selenia: “…”

This was the right move. Telling me this after I’ve already settled in to this life. In a sense, it was manipulation for her to do this. But I think that I wouldn’t have been able to handle this revelation so early in our relationship. So maybe it was a mercy from her to me, rather than manipulation?

And here, she isn’t trying to convince me through crying or pleading in a manipulative way. This was Resoria, begging for me to forgive her earnestly, and accept her in this life. Can… can I forgive her? I guess that I can…

Selenia: “I cannot forgive you for what happened in our past life, Resoria.” I reply with a serious tone.

Resoria: “That… I see… Then, I will vanish from your life from now on. I hope that you, Zella, and Cirilia will have a happy life. Regardless of us parting, please know that being with you in this life was the happiest that I have ever been, and I thank you greatly for it.” She said with tears flowing down her face.

Her eyes seemed to have lost all light in them. I guess that I was truly the light of her life? But that is just too sad… She didn’t let me finish my words just now…

Selenia: “Let me finish, Resoria.” I say with a stern tone.

Resoria: “…”

Selenia: “I cannot forgive the you of the past, but this is a new life. Your sins… they don’t exist here. You’ve never hurt me here in this life. You have those memories, but you are not that woman. If you were, I would have noticed.” I explain before giving her a kiss.

Resoria: “…”

Selenia: “There is no need to start over, or change how our relationship is. This revelation will change nothing. You are not that woman, Resoria. There is nothing for me to forgive. Just… just spend the rest of eternity being my wife. That is all that I truly want.” I say after parting my lips from hers, and holding her hand.

For the first time ever, I saw Resoria cry, and she cried into my chest. This moment of weakness was more than enough to know that this was the right decision. These tears were real, not fake. There was no trace of manipulation in this act at all.

If it was that woman from before, she would have never revealed this information. She would have gone thousands of years with me, never revealing it at all. Which is why I know that, even being the same soul, Resoria wasn’t that woman at all.

Resoria: “I… I am so happy, Selenia. I was planning on telling you this, but I struggled to reveal it. When you said that random woman was me, I knew that I couldn’t run any longer.” She said with a smile.

Selenia: “I am sorry for getting you wrong. My memories of that time aren’t that vivid. It was my mistake that I thought that Grace was you, all because she was a yandere.” I reply with a remorseful tone.

Resoria: “There is nothing for you to apologize for, Selenia. I am at fault for not revealing this sooner. This broke the vow that we made to each other. Keeping secrets, that is. And I swear that I will spend this life trying to make up for that breach of it.” She said with a serious tone.

Selenia: “I know that you will not disappoint me in this life, Resoria.” I say with a smile.

And like that, I reconciled with the woman who once destroyed my life. In the end, I was right. She found me… But I am glad that she did. Even with her being so mentally unstable, I still loved her. This was a part of me that I tried to deny… In fact, I am very happy that we can finally happily live together in this life. So very, very happy.
