Chapter 61 - END - Next Destination

Suddenly, Taylor begins to feel a weird energy coursing through him, and his fists began to glow white.

Hanz sees this and smirks. “Of course the world would help you. It's no matter. Let's get this show on the road.” He says before flashing forward. Before Taylor could say anything, a palm engulfed by a black flame pushed towards his chest.

Taylor's eyes widen and he tries to back away, but he wouldn't be able to avoid this hit. Taylor's chest also begins to glow white, and as the palm connects, it manages to accept most of the blow.

But the remaining energy still sent Taylor’s body plummeting back like a bullet, until he crashed into the citadel wall, cracking into the stone and creating an upright crater.

“Fuck.” Taylor exclaims before checking out his body. Taylor raises an eyebrow. He seemed to be relatively fine after that hit. Shit, I guess I just gotta go then. He thinks before climbing out of the crater to prepare himself.

Taylor flashes forward at an angle and raises a hand, engulfed with white light. After some energy compression, a beam of white energy was sent hurtling towards Hanz.

Hanz smiles, seeing that the show was on the road. He raises a hand and a lightless hole appears in front of him, swallowing every bit of that white energy. “You’re going to have to try harder than that, Taylor.” He says with a smirk before flashing forward once again.

Taylor was still unable to catch up to Hanz speed, and prepared to face him up close. He slaps out with a hand as Hanz approaches and redirects Hanz’s fist away, before striking out with a glowing white fist.

Hanz casually moves his other hand and pushes Taylor’s fist away before shifting his body to send out another strike.

Taylor and Hanz’s bodies begin to enter a sort of dance, their bodies were flashing away and towards rach other, shifting to allow or deny movement of the other. They were like butterflies trying to court each other.

Taylor, wrapped up in the action of it all, couldn’t help but smile. It’s like we’re just fucking around. He thinks, amused.

So deciding he didn’t want to wait, Taylor stops and begins to gather all his energy in his right hand. “Hey, Hanz. Let’s not fuck around any longer. Let’s just end this in one blow. Then we can both be on our way, whether through life or death.” Taylor says, amused.

Hanz smirks. “Alright, Taylor. I’ll play ball. Come at me.” He says as that lightless black hole once again appears in front of his hand.

The two opponents flash forward at full speed, hurtling themselves at each other, preparing to end it all, and in the middle, their energies collided, before compressing and exploding outwards.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Taylor’s eyes widen as he watches this scene. Reality seemed to be cracking all around him. It didn’t seem to be able to handle this blow. “Fuck.” Was all Taylor could say before Taylor’s body seemed to become malleable. Both his body and Hanz’s body stretched out as if they weren’t corporeal and then, they were pulled into the point of impact.

Taylor groggily opens his eyes. Fuck. What happened. He thinks, his mind working slowly. He looks around with his third eye and he sees Hanz floating in space next to him. His right hand was missing and his blood seemed to have frozen, encasing his wound.

Hanz looks up and sees Taylor. He couldn’t help but smile. “Congratulations. You succeeded, Taylor. I have no fucking idea where we are, but I assume that I’m too far away for the spell to complete.” He says before letting out a sigh. “I guess the world gave its judgement.” He says, looking melancholy.

Taylor tries to respond but no words came out of his mouth.

“There’s no air out here, Taylor. But you’re on the seventh stage so you should be fine. Just gather your energy and speak with that.” Hanz says, amused.

Taylor raises an eyebrow and tries to project his voice outwards. “What the fuck happened?” Was the first thing he asks.

Hanz smiles and shakes his head. “I have no fucking idea. We seemed to have messed with reality. We either teleported and are somewhere far out in space, or we’re in a different dimension entirely. We were both probably passed out for a while too.” He says casually, not seeming to be too worried about it.

Suddenly, another crack in space was formed. Out of thin air, Sylvie and a woman with red hair appear out of nowhere.

Taylor’s eyes widen. “Sylvie!? What are you doing out here!?” He exclaims, not sure how that was possible.

Sylvie smiles, seeing that Taylor was okay. “Your marriage ring. When we got married I asked the matriarch for a favor. ‘Make it so my husband will never be able to escape me.’ I asked. And she granted my wish. Your ring has a teleportation link to my ring.” She explains, looking quite proud of herself.

“Enough with that. Taylor! Why haven’t you killed him yet? He can’t be allowed to live!” The red-haired woman says at the side.

Taylor raises an eyebrow and frowns. He looks to Hanz and as the thought of killing him appeared in his mind, all the energy seemed to leak out of Taylor’s body and he suddenly felt sleepy. Taylor lets out a sigh. When deciding to kill someone who your heart wants to live, you wouldn’t be able to touch them with that intent if you tried… Taylor couldn’t help but think.

Taylor looks back to the lady who he assumed was the matriarch. “The deed is already done. The spell is over and there’s no need to kill him. I doubt this asshole will try again.” Taylor says as he gives Hanz an annoyed look.

Hanz lets out a chuckle. “Guilty as charged. It was a dumb idea anyway. Always on to bigger and better things I always say.” He says with a smile.

The red-haired woman lets out a sigh. “Well, as long as the spell is over, I guess.” She says, accepting her defeat.

“Enough about that. How the fuck do we get home?” Taylor asks, bewildered. He didn’t even know which way to go.

The red-haired woman raises a hand. “Home is that way. Come on, let’s go.” She says before leading the way forward.

Taylor and Sylvie follows while Hanz pushes himself forward from behind.

Taylor looks to Sylvie and his eyes widen. “Fuck. Where’s our son?” He asks, suddenly feeling like an irresponsible parent.

“Ah, leave him be. He’ll grow up fine on his own.” Sylvie says without a care.

Taylor looks to Sylvie with shock. “Sylvie! That’s our son you’re talking about! We could be stuck out here for years! Decades maybe!” He exclaims.

“Don’t worry about it so much. Someone will take care of him.” Sylvie says, not worried at all.

Taylor lets out a sigh. “I guess someone will have to.” He says with no solution to this.

The group continue to drift forward for several days, when Hanz’s eyes light up. “Well, hot damn. Do you guys feel that?” He asks, enthusiasm in his voice.

“What?” Taylor asks. He didn’t feel anything.

Hanz continues to smile and points in a direction. “There. I feel it. There’s life over there.” He says, clearly excited.

The matriarch frowns. Life's not always a good thing. She couldn’t help but think.

“What do you guys say? Let’s take the long way home.” He encourages.

Taylor looks to Sylvie and couldn’t help but smile. “Fine. Since we’re here, we might as well have a look.” He says before moving forward. That’s what he always seemed to be doing. Always just walking to the next destination.
