The next morning.
“Body's dealt with. Did a background check. He's from the Demon Heart family.” Maggie says. “I used an Obfuscation Spell at the scene of the crime. A few people should be able to see through it. But I doubt the vampires can, unless the guy was important enough to request assistance for.” Maggie continues to say.
“Ugh. Another thing.” Taylor says with some hesitation. “I messaged him online. Not sure if there was a way to delete those messages? We ugh… There was some conflict in those conversations…” Taylor admits.
Maggie looks to Taylor for a moment before sighing. “Then you're fucked.” She confirms. “Even if we asked a hacker to delete those messages, these vampires would have enough power to request the backups. It wouldn't even be hard.” She continues to say.
“Actually. There doesn't even seem to be a point in hiding the murder and disposing of the body. We might as well have just buried it in an unknown location!” Maggie says, some anger and frustration in her voice.
“Ugh…” Taylor says, unsure of what else there was to say.
“You're a cultivator, right?” Maggie continues. “You must have a master, if that's the case. The only way out of this now is to make a peace offering. And don't ask our family to cover for you. It's not worth it just because you're sleeping with my sister.” Maggie says, explaining the situation to Taylor.

“Ugh…” Taylor says, still unsure. He didn't have a master. He was a loose cultivator.
“What now? Spit it out.” She demands.
“Ugh. I don't have a master, but there is someone I can call. I'm not sure if he'll cover for me though.” Taylor says.
“Just effin' call him.” Maggie says before looking to Sylvie. “Is this guy worth it to you? He's like a helpless puppy!” Maggie scolds.
“He's worth it.” Sylvie says, giving Taylor a hug.
…
…
“What is it this time? Want me to tell you how to tie your shoes?” The voice says over the phone.
“Ugh… I killed a dude. I'd like someone to negotiate a peace offering.” Taylor says.
“Well, since that obviously wasn't a demand, you must know that for me to do this you'll have to use two favors. One for me and one to appease whoever was related to the guy you killed.” The voice says.
“Who'd you kill anyway?” The voice asks.
“Someone from a family of vampires. Not sure how important he was.” Taylor says.
“Fuck eh. No wonder you called me. Depending on who you killed you'll either get tortured to death or it will be an easy favor. Do you really want to give it a try? Maybe you can still hide.” The voice says before a bout of laughter.
“Might as well. Maybe I'll still have an opportunity to run after. But a heads up would be nice, just saying.” Taylor says, not really wanting to consider the consequences.
“Alright. I'll let you know.” The voice says.
…
…
“You lucky fucking kid. That dude was just low level. Which is probably to be expected since you were able to kill him. There's no way you'd be able to handle his elders.” The voice says.
“They looked you up. You have a connection with a gang they oversee. They want you to be their Enforcer for 10 years. After that, the deal is done. They didn't really seem to care about this one.” The voice says.
“Alright. Let me know the details.” Taylor responds.
