Taylor's hand pushes out, and a flame attaches itself to the infected. Taylor watches solemnly as peace finds its way onto the man's face and the blazing flame consumes him. It wasn't long before all that was left was ashes.
Taylor lets out a breath. That was it. He thinks, a small smile finding its way to his face. The recent events in Taylor's life had muddied his outlook. He thought that if you were to burn, it didn't matter how it happened. If it's going to be ugly, it's going to be ugly. But he didn't originally think this way. There was a time when he thought that life and death were beautiful.
Somewhere along the way, the source of his flames had become tainted. Johan was right along. Even if it was the dao of fire, it can still be beautiful. It was just that, for some reason, Taylor had never thought to apply that level of thought and care. Damn, I’ve been an idiot. He thinks with a shake of his head. Thank god for Lily. Taylor thinks with a smile.
As Taylor saw it, there should be more than just the processing of life involved in his flames. Fire was willful but it didn't have to be violent. If the flow is correct, if the intent was beautiful, and if it was weaved artistically, fire could create a masterpiece. And that's what Taylor wanted for his flames; that's what Taylor wanted for his life. As for how far he could go and how much he could achieve, he would have to try to find out.

“Dinner?” Taylor asks with wide eyes. “Ugh, I’m kind of busy at the moment, Hanz. Maybe next time.” He says casually, hoping this was just nonchalant request for Hanz.
“Ah, that’s okay. Next time.” Hanz says before ending the call.
Taylor raises an eyebrow. That was effin’ weird. He thinks before deciding to forget about it.

…
“Yes?” Taylor says over the phone.
“Hey, Taylor. What’s up? How are you feeling?” Johan asks, some amusement in his voice.
“How am I feeling? Johan, are you high right now?” Taylor asks with some confusion.
“Just tell me. Are things good?” Johan asks, continuing to press.
“Ughh. Yeah, they’re good, Johan. Why?” He asks, feeling a little bit worried.
“Awesome. That’s great. Anyways, just wanted to let you know… The Pioneer Werewolf clan found out that you were away from home. A Werewolf Chief and a few other fifth and sixth stage werewolves are heading your way. They seem to know that Sylvie is with you, so they’re prepared. Apparently you killed the Chief’s grandson. Your dad and I are currently pretty busy with some other stuff so we won’t be able to make it, but I just wanted to send my well-wishes. And remember, Taylor, some lube will make it easier.” Johan explains to Taylor before letting out a loud laugh and ending the call.
Taylor’s eyes widen. Damn it! What a dick! He exclaims before letting out a sigh. Ugh, whatever. A tribulation is a still a tribulation, I guess. He thinks, deciding to welcome the wolves properly. Time to burn like god intended. He thinks as some excitement grows within him. He was very curious about where he currently stood in the supernatural world.
