One day, on Taylor's 30th year of life, he decided to have a look at his old cultivation book. He basically had the thing memorized but maybe there was a clue he missed out on; something that would lead him to the next step.
His cultivation energy had been stagnant for about 10 years now and he's tried a lot of things just to see the second part of the book. But it was futile; no matter what he did or whatever hints he followed, his progress continued to stagnate. It was a very depressing matter to be stopped at the starting line because of some requirement that no one ever bothered to fill you in on.
When he first started cultivating, it was simply a hobby. It was something that Taylor thought he would spend his time on when he was bored. He had no dreams of power or adventure and was very content to be a kid.
But that day in the sewer changed him. The height… It was so far above him. Why wouldn't he spend his life chasing it? Other than his family and friends, that height was his next priority. He saw it from the bottom of a sewer hole and he refused to continue looking up from that place.
After learning the first stage of the Flame Fist Resolution, Taylor continued to learn whatever low-level martial techniques he could get his hands on. He has grown quite proficient in many of them over the years and as he continued to refine his understanding of these techniques, he began to see foundational similarities. Through these shared qualities, Taylor could take a peek at a higher level and he almost thought he could reach for it. But his cultivation energy limited him. Without the next part of the cultivation manual, Taylor was helpless. He couldn’t reach the next stage no matter how hard he tried.
Taylor flipped open the book and as the pages flipped by, Taylor glimpsed words on the second half of the book. His eyes opened wide. “Holy shit. It's here.” Taylor exclaims.
Taylor quickly flipped to the beginning of the second part and began to read.
If you are reading this section of the book, you have accomplished the necessary requirements to inherit my cultivation technique.
And if you have cultivated according to this book, you are already bound to the dao it cultivates.
The dao this book cultivates is a principle that I wish for the world to learn; it is loyalty to who you are, it is honesty with your feelings, it is to act according to your situation and it is to aim at what your heart truly wants.

Unfortunately, the various daos bind each other and there are universal laws that everyone must abide by. Unfortunately, many people cannot be the people they want to be. But the aim of this book is to break those chains. Even if it cannot be broken, it's possible that the boundary can be pushed. No matter the result, it is imperative that the attempt be made. The waves must push on and the wheel must be turned. I have decided on the direction I wanted to push and I left this book as an inheritance; not of a technique, but my will.
Faith in the gods have pushed me this far, and I will continue to have faith, in whoever this book finds itself with, in whoever the gods have left my will. Good or evil is an unnecessary consideration for me so there are no restrictions on who can accept this inheritance. But, like many Inheritor techniques, there are limitations in this book's use.
Every child is placed into this world unaware of the situation, so it matters not which side this situation forced you to walk on. What matters to me is an unyielding honesty with the inheritor's heart. Even if you cannot act according to your heart's will, you must at least be able to understand it. This is the first requirement to practice my cultivation technique. To understand your own heart is to have clarity, to have trust in your instincts and it is to have vision when you are blind.
This is something that all animals are born knowing how to do, but as one gains knowledge of good and evil, this instinct erodes, buried under logic and morality. These are also necessary things for life, but these things often lead people to forget who they are and who they can be.
The second requirement for this cultivation technique is to be 30 years of age.
In my culture, people are allowed their first taste of adulthood at 18 years of age. After that I find that these children begin to face the expectation of what that means. Some indulge in the freedom and become lost, while others take on the burdens of the world bravely and weigh themselves down.
But all these things are unnecessary; these are still children in the first stage of their lives. In this stage of life, the pieces are only beginning to arrange themselves and it isn't until roughly thirty years of age that they begin to settle, and even then, people continue to grow.
Thus, this requirement is similar to the first. With the time you have lived your life, it is expected that you have a general understanding of yourself, a general idea of what love is, what your goals are, and who your enemies are. This will be necessary to cultivate this dao.
The cultivation technique this book offers to teach is called the Self-Manifestation Mantra. According to this technique, it's strength would depend on who you are and your intent. If you faced off against a lover, your fist would be a gentle push, and if you faced off with what you considered to be a great evil, your fist would be like thunder striking from the heavens.
There are no limitations on other techniques you can explore with this cultivation technique, unless there is a limitation within yourself. If you were a righteous and lawful man, this technique would not allow you to practice necromancy unless you were honestly willing to cross that boundary.
Unfortunately there is a greater cost to this technique depending on the situation. I mentioned that your fist would be a gentle push to a lover but people seldom face off against their lovers in this manner. Unfortunately, this means that when facing against someone who your heart wants to win, your heart will choose to lose, and when deciding to kill someone who your heart wants to live, you wouldn’t be able to touch them with that intent even if you tried. It is a very unfortunate drawback, and will likely limit your prospects in the cultivation world. Also unfortunate is that you are now stuck with this dao. But there is also a bright side to this; depending on your love, sex is going to be amazing. Good luck!
“What the fuck?” Taylor exclaims.
