“Yes, I'd like to request permission to cultivate in Oceanview city.” Taylor says over the phone, his voice weary, not from emotions, but out of boredom.
“Okay, is there is a specific territory you'd like to cultivate in? Or is it possible you have a referral?” The Cultivation Association agents asks in a polite voice.
“No… No referral.” Taylor responds with a sigh. This is something he'd usually go to Johan for, but it felt like he should avoid him for a while. “If you had a suggestion for a territory, I'd appreciate it.” He responds; it never hurt to be nice to customer service.
“May I ask your cultivation stage?” The agents asks, hoping to narrow down her suggestions.
“I’m on the fourth stage. My energy needs aren’t great, but I would think I eat up as much as a fifth stage cultivator… From what I heard.” Taylor responds, with a light chuckle; the flavoring for all small talk.
“Okay, let me just have a look for you… Okay, there are two territories that would seem to suit your needs. One territory is for a sixth stage cultivator and the other is for the only seventh stage in the city. The seventh stage cultivator has a more energy-rich territory but he has a lot of disciples; I’m not sure as to the quality you’ll receive. As for the sixth stage cultivator's territory; you’ll have to request it personally. It’s noted here that he has asked the association several times to stop assigning people to his territory. You’re going to have to get the go-ahead from him in person.” The agent explains.

“Ugh, okay.” Taylor thinks with a sigh. He really didn’t want to cultivate in a seventh stage cultivator’s territory with all the snotty disciples. I guess it wouldn’t be bad to meet the sixth stage cultivator… Taylor thinks before making his decision. “Can you give me the contact number of the sixth stage cultivator?” Taylor asks, thinking it was worth a shot.
…
…
Jesse led Sylvie and Taylor outside to the driveway.
“Ta-da!” She says, presenting her surprise with her hands.
Taylor took a look and saw that it was a van, painted black with a realistic red heart and what looked to be blood splattered in the background.
“It’s a love van!” Jesse announces with a smile. “I thought we might as well keep busy while we’re patrolling the city. The back is cushioned and lined with pillows. It could be like a second home.” Jesse says with a nod of her head.
Sylvie gives her a thumbs up. “I approve. It’s not a bad way for superheroes to spend the day.” She says with a smile.
Taylor looks to Jesse before looking to Sylvie. Why do they seem so friendly? He asks himself. Is this trip going to be much more fun than I think it is? Taylor thinks, his mind wandering into the possibilities.
"How'd you pay for this thing?" Taylor asks, curious. From what he remembered, Jesse wasn't really focused on making money as a cultivator.
"I still have Johan's credit card." She says with an innocent smile.
Sweat begins to pour out of Taylor's forehead. Fuck. Isn't this like spitting in Johan's face? Taylor asks himself. It's best not to think about it... He thinks, deciding to ignore it.
