Taylor starts the car as Jesse opens the passenger door and climbs into the car.
Taylor took out his pack and pulled out a cigarette before looking up at Jesse. He holds out the pack. “Want one?” He asks casually.
Jesse looks down at the pack and frowns. “No one wants your fucking cigarettes, Taylor.” Jesse says then turns her head to the passenger window. “Let's go. The sooner we're done the better.” She says with a sigh.
Taylor smiles and lights his smoke. “You don't mean that. Let's enjoy ourselves.” He says as he presses onto the gas and moves onto the road.
Jesse coughs a few times before rolling the window down. “Damn it, Taylor. I swear to god, if you weren't you…” Jesse begins to say before deciding it wasn’t worth the energy.
Taylor chuckles. He takes a deep inhale and lets the smoke out as he speeds up, ignoring his clouded vision.
Jesse looks at Taylor's carelessness and sighs. I don't think he knows… She thinks with some bitterness. He could be blind and we'd still make it to our destination… She thinks with a shake of her head.

The drive was quiet, but the time passed naturally, and by the time they made it to Karoleck, it felt like a moment had passed.
“Your destination is on your right." The GPS announces.
Taylor pulls into the parking lot and parks the car. “Right, let's get this over with.” He says as he pulls out his phone.
“Hello?” A voice answers.
“Daryl, we just arrived. Are you inside?” Taylor asks, hoping this would be an easy job.
“Yeah we're here, but…” Daryl says before hesitating at what Taylor assumed was bad news.
Suddenly Taylor senses someone's gaze. Taylor raises an eyebrow and spreads out his spiritual sense.
“God dammit, Daryl. This place is surrounded by werewolves.” Taylor exclaims with some disappointment. Things can never be easy, can they? Taylor thinks with a sigh.
“Yeah, I don't think we're making it out of this one without a parley of some sort.” Daryl says, hoping Taylor could do something about it.
“Well, I think we lost this game, Daryl. You'll probably have to give up the girl.” Taylor says, not knowing how else they were going to get out of here.
“No, Taylor. I can't. You have to say something. The werewolves aren't keeping away just because of the barrier. Whatever this place is, they don't want to touch it. Apparently your family is like royalty or something; just say a few words to them and I'm sure we can drop this whole thing.” Daryl suggests.
“Fuck. Alright.” Taylor says, ending the call. Taylor puts the phone away and looks to Jesse. “You want to come, or do you want to stay in the car?” He asks, not sure how long this was going to take. Taylor was willing to just drop the matter if the conversation reached an impasse; all this situation really needed was for Daryl to give up the girl, so Taylor was willing to just leave. As for whether he gives up the girl, that's up to him. Taylor thinks without a care.
“What? Am I your kid? No, I want to watch the show.” Jesse says with a smile as she opens the car door.
Taylor sighs. Hopefully the show doesn’t get violent. He thinks as he opens the car door.
