Taylor intentionally decided to get dressed as a hooligan. He wore jean shorts and a bright red, baggy hoody, with a trucker hat to top it all off.
I hope this fucks up his night. Taylor thinks with a smile.
He starts his car and began the long trek to Oceanview city.
I hope there's a lot of traffic too. Taylor thinks with a smirk.
…
…
Taylor parks the car and begins to walk to the restaurant.
As he approaches, he could see Johan and Jesse standing outside, waiting for him.
This was supposed to be a very classy evening at a very classy restaurant, but Johan was of a similar mind to Taylor, if not a little less crude about the matter. He wore a clean black shirt under a brown leather jacket, and he had a clean, fresh pair of blue jeans.
As for Jesse… It seems like she had other intentions for this night and came fully prepared. She wore a long purple gown, split at the side to show off her elegant leg, teasing any man's gaze to wonder about what other treasures laid beneath, while enough of her chest was laid bare, making her body and intention seem very inviting. Her dress looked like it was made for a greek goddess and indeed, Jesse fit the persona well.
Taylor watches as Johan smiles bitterly and watches the passing cars, clearly feeling awkward. Taylor immediately smirks; you have to try harder than that, old man, Taylor thinks to himself.
Johan eventually catches sight of Taylor and immediately raises a hand. “Taylor!” He calls out before some anger shows on his face. “We've already been waiting here for half an hour, Taylor! And you, you're practically, ugh…” Johan says before looking at the time. “You're ugh… You're one minute late! Don't you know that you have to be punctual when you attend a date?” Johan says, the apparent anger in his voice seeming to lose some heat.
Taylor immediately looks confused. What is the guy talking about? And why does he sound so dumb today? Taylor asks himself.
Taylor quickly approaches the two. “Sorry, there was some-" Taylor starts to say before the wind blew his hat off his head. It immediately flew in front of Johan causing him to instinctively bend down to pick it up. It suddenly crosses his mind that the positioning was pretty weird. As he grabs onto the hat, his head angles upwards to look and saw that Jesse's face was blushing.
Taylor looks at this scene bewildered. Dude. Are you gonna pop the question? What's going on? Taylor asks, already beginning to feel the weirdness of this night.
Johan smiles bitterly and stands upright. “Why are you so careless, Taylor? And why are you wearing a hat in the first place? This is a five star restaurant; have some sense.” He says, feigned disappointment in his voice, before passing the hat back to Taylor.
“Ugh, sorry.” Taylor responds dumbly. He wasn't exactly sure what kind of play they were acting out.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
“Enough of that. They've prepared our appetizers and they're getting cold. Let's go inside.” Johan says as he leads the way into the restaurant, quickly and closely followed by Jesse, hovering at Johan's side like a shadow that very much wanted to embrace him.
Taylor takes a moment to sigh before entering. “This is going to be weird.” He says before bravely stepping forward.
…
…
“So tell us what you've been up to, Taylor. I've spent all this time catching up with Jesse that I forgot to ask about you. How are the vampire collusions or whatever it is you're doing with them?” Johan asks as he digs into his steak like an animal. Taylor had the inkling that Johan was very much looking for an excuse to eat with his hands. Why is the dude intentionally trying to be rude? Is that attractive to some women? Taylor wonders getting more confused as the night pushed on.
Jesse immediately scrunches her face, apparently finding vampires despicable.
“Why are you colluding with vampires? Don't you know how disgusting they are?” Jesse asks, some anger in her voice.
“Ugh…” Taylor exclaims, still unsure of his role this night. Suddenly a thought occurs to him. Since he's intentionally being rude, why not just make him out to look like a dick? Whether he's trying to attract her or repel her, it doesn't really matter to me. Don't blame me Johan, I'm just following your lead. Taylor thinks with a smile before answering, “Actually, I did it as a favor to Johan. I'm not exactly sure what kind of deal Johan has with the vampires, but he sent me to settle the debt. You should know, Johan, there's blood on my hands from that job. I'm not sure how much longer I can do your dirty work for you.” Taylor says, some feigned regret on his face.
Jesse’s eyes open wide and she lets out a gasp before looking to Johan, then looking back to Taylor, some anger on her face. “Liar! Johan would never have to stoop so low as to make a deal with vampires!” She says, fully enraged.
Taylor raises his hands ands tries to look defenseless. “It's no lie. Johan tell her.” Taylor says, looking for some help. For as long as Taylor knew Johan, he has never told a lie; everything he said was truthful and to the best of his knowledge. Maybe it was because he never had a reason to lie to Taylor, but Taylor thought it was more than that; his dao must be preventing him, Taylor assumed.
Johan gives Taylor a look of shock. “I have no idea, what you're talking about Taylor. From what I can remember, you fell in love with a witch and was driven to murder. After that you owed the vampires a blood debt.” He says, all the honesty and justice in the world carried in his voice.
Taylor opens his mouth, dumbfounded. Did he just lie? Taylor thinks in shock. It was barely a lie, but it was a lie. Why would he jeopardize his dao for such a dumb lie? Taylor wonders, still having no idea where things stood.
Jesse also opens her mouth in shock. “You were driven to murder!? Why… why would you take a life… for a woman?” Jesse says, first with some anger, before slowing to consider the beauty in the act and becoming confused.
“Actually, Johan,” Taylor says, ignoring Jesse, fully prepared to see this game through to the end. “As I remember it, you're the one who brokered the deal with the vampires. If it wasn't for you, it wouldn't just be another's blood on my hands. I would have paid that price if you weren't there. Now I continue to get my hands dirty, all for you.” Taylor explains, wanting to see how far Johan could push this.
Jesse was shocked once again. “You saved him? Why? Was the murder worth it? For this woman?” She asks, not knowing what to think.
“Ugh…” Johan says, stumped before continuing to push on. “Actually, I don't know why I did it. Taylor came to me that night like he was possessed. He said something along the lines of, ‘I need to have her, Johan. I'm desperate and willing to do anything to possess her. I will serve you for as long as I have to, forever even, as long as I can get into her panties again'.” Johan says, unsure if he was going too far. It seemed like a little much, he thought to himself before looking around the table to see if anyone bought his bullshit. Taylor was stunted; he very much didn't how to respond to that. Jesse had a look of absolute disgust on her face as she looked at Taylor like he was just vermin. Johan coughs before continuing, “Like I said it was very weird and I didn't know what to make of it. He was so desperate that I couldn't stand to see him that way. I hoped that with some time the witch's bewitchment would wear off. But like Taylor previously said, he would-" Johan tries to say before having to cough several times. “He would do anything to get into her panties again.” Johan forces himself to complete the sentence before clearing his throat from all the bullshit he spouted.
Jesse takes a long look at Taylor before opening her mouth and saying with complete honesty, “You are… the most vile… most disgusting… worm of a man, I have ever met.”
The blows just kept coming and Taylor felt like he was getting pummeled with words, injuring his very soul. “You-" Taylor tries to say, wanting to call Johan out on the biggest pile of crap he has ever heard, but he was immediately cut off.
“Anyways, I'm stuffed. How ‘bout we go for a walk. I'll even buy you a pack of smokes, Taylor. I'm sure the smoke is cleaner than whatever else you're polluting your body with.” Johan says, trying to signal with his eyes, hoping that Taylor would get the hint to drop the matter.
You motherfucker, Taylor exclaims in his mind. “Yeah… a pack of smokes would be nice.” Taylor says, feeling like he just got his ass kicked.
“Great!” Johan says, standing up urgently, as if he very much wanted to leave this place. “I'll go pay for our meals. And no need to pay me back, Taylor. I know how bad you are at repaying your debts.” Johan says with a shake of his head before leaving.
Taylor slumped in his chair not even bothering to look at the disgust on Jesse’s face. The blows just keep coming and coming. Taylor thinks, not sure how to feel about the situation.
