“So I ended up falling love.” Daryl began when asked for an explanation.
Taylor lets out a snort. “What? That's great, I guess. Now what do you want?” He asks, hoping this was just a passing call. Some advice, a little gossip, and hopefully we'll be done, Taylor thinks with a sigh.
“The thing is, it turns out she's a werewolf...” Daryl continues slowly.
“Okay?” Taylor says, still unsure of what the issue was. “Go on?” He coaxes, wishing Daryl would just spit it out.
“Also…” Daryl starts to say, but hesitates.
“Just fucking say it.” Taylor says, annoyed.
“Her family sided with Hanz.” Daryl finally says.
“What the fuck!?” Taylor exclaims, recognizing the implications. “Daryl, you need to stay away from her.” Taylor warns with a heavy tone.
“Can’t do that, Taylor. I love her. Unfortunately her family disagrees. It's bad enough that I'm a vampire, but she's also the granddaughter of their tribe chief.” Daryl explains causing Taylor to shake his head. You little shit, Daryl. There's so many things wrong with this relationship that it's causing me some pain. Taylor thinks with a sigh.

“Anyways, we ran away. We're heading North, but Annie's family are on the hunt; I don't think it will be long before they catch up to us. Also we've decided to stay out of the war so the Demon Heart family is ignoring my request for help. They don't operate South of the border so they can go fuck themselves either way, but fortunately I have you dear brother!” Daryl forcefully lets out, trying to sound cheerful.
“You little shit, Daryl. How far South of the border are you?” Taylor asks, ignoring the situation. I'll get his ass out first, then I can worry about his bullshit later. Taylor decides with a sigh.
“I'll send you my location; I'm not far. But I don't think I'll be able to make it across, Taylor. You have to do something.” Daryl says, some desperation in his voice.
Taylor takes a look to see where Daryl's at then lets out a small sigh of relief. “Alright. Just relax. There's a small town near you called Karoleck. I'm going to send you an address; just head there and sit tight for the moment. I'll be there in a day or so.” Taylor says with a slight frustration for life and its bullshit.
“Thanks brother, you're the best.” Daryl says with a sigh.
Taylor ends the call with a shake of his head and sends Daryl the address. He then dials Maggie's number.
“Hey, babe. It's late. Thinking of me?” A sultry voice calls out from the phone.
Taylor immediately feels a heat in his pants but shakes his head and forces himself to focus. “A friend of mine is in trouble; he'll need to hide out in Karoleck for a while. I was hoping you could call ahead.” Taylor says, gulping to control his arousal.
“Do I get a thank you?” She asks, her voice with a hint of teasing.
“Ugh…” Taylor says as he takes a look at his watch. Do I have time for this? He asks himself, with some unfortunately serious consideration. “Are you in town?” Taylor asks with more than curiosity. If it's convenient, might as well get it done with now, Taylor says, attempting to convince himself.
“Why, yes, I am in town…” Maggie says, her smile expressed with her voice.
“At the usual place?” Taylor asks, the heat rising, and a tightness growing in his pants.
“Yes, daddy. I'll see you there.” She says before ending the call, causing Taylor to almost taste the sweetness.
