Taylor and three other guys were asked to meet in another room to go over their part of the plan.
“Your target is at the nearest location to Oceanview city. Consider it a courtesy to my brother-in-law.” Maggie says with a smile and another pat on the head. Taylor continued to feel the amusement on the expression of the other participants, and now that he was closer… Was that jealousy he felt? Taylor wonders.
“In your group, you have my dear brother-in-law, a third stage cultivator, you have a Vampire Baron of a similar stage, a Vampire Viscount, and you have dashing Crowman Shadow.” Maggie says, giving them a quick introduction of each other. “Your target is a single Vampire Viscount. It shouldn't be difficult. When you arrive at the location, the scout will give you further details. After that, wait for our call and begin the attack. Simple, right?” Maggie explains before asking.
The others nod their heads, apparently not intending to ask further questions. The job was pretty straight forward to them.
Taylor raises a hand with some hesitation. “Can we ugh… get an introduction on the Vampire Viscount? My ugh… my cultivation technique might need to hear more.” Taylor asks before looking to the table, kind of embarrassed.

Maggie raises an eyebrow. “Do we have the target's background?” She asks Gregory on the side.
Gregory crosses his arms and sighs before explaining. “Among the vampires, the Mountain Climbers are a particularly cruel bunch. Others often refer to them as the Hunger Fiends. Their bloodline has been cursed with a… what would you call it? A lack of emotion. So they crave any emotional response they could possibly get. Whether it is pain or pleasure. Pain seems to be the easier option for them, so whether it is their victims or themselves, torture seems to be the norm.” He says, giving a general explanation of the Mountain Climbers.
“This Vampire Viscount stands out, even among the Mountain Climbers… I'd rather not go into the details…” Gregory explains with his eyes closed.
Fuck, Taylor thought to himself before opening his mouth. “Please explain. It could be useful for our battle.” Taylor forces himself to say with his head bowed.
Anger flashes across Gregory's face. “Are you sick? How would that be necessary to kill him?” He asks, disgust on his face.
Maggie raises a hand and gestures for Gregory to continue.
Gregory looks reluctant but continues. He spits on the ground as a last expression of disgust before explaining.
…
…
Taylor still felt rage from their meeting. Now there was no question. He was personally going to kill the Viscount. If his hand didn't do the deed personally it would be a stain on his soul.
Taylor lifelessly follows along the group and gets into a car, his rage seething under his expressionless face.
The others could tell his mood and ignored him. It was a quiet drive…
