Taylor lights a cigarette and takes a deep, long inhale. “Fuck that's good.” He comments before looking around. He was in a large field. There was no civilization around for at least several hundred kilometers. With him, were hundreds of thousands of Naturalists. Taylor tries not to focus on it but whenever the idea crosses his mind, he's simply amazed. A lot of kids here… But they've seem to have grown up… He thinks to himself.
Taylor looks to Tasha. She had her eyes closed and was focusing her mind on the upcoming battle. Taylor doesn’t consider too much and taps on her shoulder.
“What!?” Tasha says, clearly annoyed.
Taylor takes a step back and smiles. “So ugh… Are we just going to wait here for a while?” He asks, curious what the grand plan was.
“Yes! I’ve already explained this! Considering the trend, we can’t afford to take any more gradual losses. We have to finish this sooner rather than later.” Tasha explains, not caring to look at Taylor.
“So our only chance is fighting it out in a big, magnificent last battle? That’s pretty convenient…” Taylor couldn’t help but comment, before something else crosses his mind. “What if they just nuke us? Wouldn’t we all be done? I mean, we’re just all standing here together on a field. All their enemies in one place, without any risk of civilian casualties. Damn, I think we really are going to get nuked. Hey, Sylvie! Pack our shit! Let’s get out of here!” Taylor reasons out before deciding it was better to leave.

Tasha presses a heavy hand onto Taylor’s shoulder. “Can you relax!?” She exclaims, causing Taylor to pause. “They won’t do that! They have to come and fight. They have no choice.” Tasha says, seemingly very sure on the matter.
“Oh? Why would they do that?” Taylor asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Because! I’ve already talked to Hanz.” She says with confidence.
“What’s Hanz gonna do?” Taylor asks, curious.
“He has assured me that he has talked with the other eighth grade powerhouses, and they’ve all agreed. They don’t want to waste this tribulation. If we get nuked none of it will matter, and if this whole thing doesn’t produce something valuable, it would go against the world’s will. Apparently, on that level, there are rules that have to be followed. So they have no choice. They have to come and fight.” Tasha explains clearly.
“Rules that have to be followed? What kind of rules? They’re all clearly high as fuck, what rules do they have to follow?” Taylor asks, somewhat curious.
“For fuck’s sake, Taylor, there just is. At that height there’s a lot to consider. And you should already know since you’re on that path. Once you make it to the sixth stage, there’s no stopping the flow. You can only move forward with the best of your ability, or fall like so many others; everything you’ve done with your whole cultivation is judged and verified by the world’s will, and if you make it to the eighth stage, your life can be considered law, stamped and approved by the world. To get to that height they all walked a very dangerous path, so do you think that they’ll just stop giving any fucks when they get there? Fucking idiot.” Tasha lectures, harshly criticizing Taylor’s nonchalant attitude.
Taylor’s eyes widen. “Well, fuck. How do you know so much about the eighth stage?” Taylor asks, feeling that this information was very much above his pay-grade.
“Because.” Tasha says with determined eyes. “I can feel my time coming… My energy is trying to break out… And if my cultivation isn’t valid… This could be my end…” She says as she forces down her hesitation.
Taylor’s eyes widen. “Well, fuck.” He exclaims, not expecting that answer. Unsure what to say, Taylor could only shrug. “Hey, don’t worry too much about it. For all we know, we could all just die here anyways. I’m still not sure about that nuke thing.” Taylor says, continuing to be inconsiderate.
Tasha’s brows furrow once again; she was very annoyed. “Can you shut the fuck up Taylor?” She says, her mind now very unfocused. All that meditation for nothing... Tasha grumbles to herself.
