Magnus slowly woke up, this morning felt completely different to him. He was even more uncomfortable than usual and somehow it was quite windy where he slept. He hadn't closed the damn window. As a man grown up, he was always the type who always slept with windows closed, especially in the summer, when all sorts of crawling animals could come through the windows into the interior of the house. Since he was a child he had been afraid of everything that crawled.
Again, he simply turned around, still not ready to open his eyes, groping his hands for the blanket. But it was nowhere for him to be found. It went through his head that he had already lost her to the ground in his sleep, when he dreamed, then he liked to kick or hit her in his sleep. After all, he always had these crazy dreams and also tended to talk in his sleep.
Slowly, his eyelids began to twitch. Bright light hit his eyes. He held his hand in front of his face. For a moment he thought he was spinning because his hand was tiny. He giggled as he told himself a messy joke about the little hand after waking up. He had never needed others to have something to laugh about. His thoughts always told him jokes.
It took a long time for him to realize that he was no longer lying in his bed at home. He could remember falling asleep and if the side effects of aspirin were sleepwalking, "then this should be damn it on the package" went through his head. But that wasn't the only thing that would have been strange, because not only was his hand tiny, but his whole body also felt tiny. As if he were a child again. He scanned his whole body and immediately he had to control himself not to scream, because for some reason, he was not only tiny, but he was missing something very decisive. There were certain qualities missing that made him a clear man. He might swear he has always been one.
Even if every now and then he tended to dream of being a woman, he could swear so soon after waking up, this had been his last dream. He dreamed of being a girl again.
Even more worrying than all of this was that he wasn't wearing any clothes at all. He sat there like nature or whatever created him.
Next, a window flashed in front of his face. It made him crawl back on hands. There he noticed for the first time lying in the deep grass. His view was taken only partially from the window. What struck him even more than anything else was his unfamiliar surroundings. So he was clearly in a deciduous forest, somewhere in a clearing next to a pond. The window did not even give him time for his blind panic but forced him directly back into the new reality.
[System: Welcome born from the void, this is the world of Sapphira.]
[System: Please enter your name.]
Still confused, he could hardly think clearly and had to focus quite a bit on the message in order not to pronounce the first thing that came to his mind, but his name: "Magnus?"
[System: Name Unacceptable. Gender wrong.]
He almost wanted to shout out loud, but he controlled himself. Always breathe loosely through your pants. I need to stay calm! With a clear mind!
Before everything else, he had to keep calm at least outwardly. To do this, he had to understand the situation and not ring a potential food bell, because who would know what was present. So then: "Magna?"
[System: Name, Accepted. You can now view their status Human Voidborn Magna.]
[System: Do you want to accept the skill status?]
[System: Skill Status Acquired. Skill Status is Level 1.]
[System: You have gained experience.]
Had he become schizophrenic? Was he actually lying in his bed and the whole situation was just impoverishing? A panic attack began to form inside him. Brutal panic. Had anyone given him hallucinogens? Psychedelic drugs? That clearly couldn't be real. He was a man. A man in his early thirties. Where did this new body come from? What did this voice want from him? It's not like he's never read novella or played an RPG game, because he was pretty proud to call himself a gamer. But this was deeply surreal for him. He pinched himself in his arm „Ouch!" It escaped him. "I feel, so I am?"
Well, he thought about what he had just experienced, because he was clearly here! He could smell the fresh grass. The sun dazzled his eyes. The air was fresh and not filled with the smog of the area around Germany's largest airport. Birds chirped in the trees. Everything here felt damn real to him. Very quickly he forgot his stupid joke, which began to form to compensate for this mess. This situation became more and more serious for him. Because he couldn't imagine that. It was all absolutely real.

I was here and not in my bed, but why? Why was I here? Had an interdimensional gateway to another world opened in his old mattress? Where exactly was he? He should probably first look at his status went through his head and find the peace again. He definitely had to stay out of a state of shock.
"Status?" He said hesitantly.
Directly in front of his face appeared a window, which had his status ready for him.
Status:

Language Common (Level 1) Identification (Level 1) Status (Level 1)
[System: Their race is unknown. Cannot be calculated. They get standard statistics 9 for their values, 1 for their main human race and for the sub race unkown 4, these 14 statistical points are acquired per ascent and can be freely distributed by them.]
[System: They are the first of their kind. All statistics have been increased by 5 points once.]
He said, "Huh “, he was sure he had been a human being last time, so why should he have been born out of the void? Is this the way he came into this world? If he had only been there as consciousness, then it could explain his new body.
That was at least his first thesis, but something in him told him that this was the most likely possibility of all. However, how he fell into this void, whether he died in his sleep or something else happened or how long he had been in this emptiness, was completely unknown in everything.
Also, this news about the awarding of points. If he understood it correctly, then it was usually the case that there was a point for each statistic and then points for his race, but whether he got more or less than others remained a mystery to him. He had no data to compare. So, if it could not calculate its breed, then it took the first value, which it had just times 4? That doesnt made any kind of sense!
He apparently possessed mana and not a little of it, although he was completely unaware of how much mana the people of this world possessed. His age was also unknown. The system could safely read in his memories, but not even he himself could know how long he was in the void. Somehow the thought reminded him of the warp he knew from his favorite science fiction novels.
Accordingly, if he started from his physique and everything else, then he should be about 16 years old. Plus, or minus 3 years, because he could really hard assess it. How many times did he have to show his identity card even in his mid-twenties so that he could buy certain things! He? Well, from now on it would mean she for him, something that was really disgusting to him. Getting used to it should be just as impossible as getting used to not breathing air. In his head, he still felt like a man, or at least what he thought was a man. The system could not change this. Although he was aware that gender had been a social construct, this did not change the fact that he still felt closest to this construct.
It was quite clear that vitality belonged to health, intelligence to mana and endurance to stamina, strength, agility, and perception could also be classified quite easily. But what should be willpower? Presumably regeneration values for health, mana and endurance? How was that calculated? And Toughness? Math had not been his subject. He had only just made it through the Abitur at that time and only because the exam dealt with vector calculus.
Apparently, he only had two active skills. But what to do with it was still a complete mystery to him at the moment. How were they created? Through practice?
With each new attempt to get up, only to fall again shortly afterwards, he grieved more and more. He fell on his butt like a penguin. This whole body had been created brand new. His entire muscle memory seemed to be missing. It was as if he had to learn to walk again, instead he crawled first. He crawled a long way over to the pond and used his hand as a trowel to scoop water, because he felt an almost unnatural thirst.
It was as if this new body had dried up completely. Every time he spoke, he could feel how dry his throat had been.
His throat was so dry that he almost ignored his reflection in the water until a pretty girl looked at him, who frightened him back, so that he fell back on his butt. This was not his usual face. He also began to miss his beard.
Finally, he crawled near a tree and leaned against the trunk for the time being, only so that shortly afterwards the system bothered him with another message. Somehow, the system reminded him immensely of cookies and pop-ups when browsing the web, but instead of annoying advertisements, there was unsolicited information.
[System: Crawling skill acquired, a skill that toddlers acquire in their first steps in this world. As the level increases, the cost of their endurance decreases slightly, and the speed continues to increase.]
[System: Do they want to accept this skill?]
[System: Skill Crawling Level 1 learned.]
[System: Experience gained.]
"Seriously" went through his mind. The system wanted to troll him because this could never be considered a skill. Did young children gain their First Experience Points in this world in this way? Now. At least it would be clarified where the skills come from.
But the second notification was really interesting, because it told him that skills would always come with descriptions. Even if they are obvious, they are never useless, because even people like to overlook the forest for the trees.
He had to take a deep breath again. That was all a lot for one morning. Fascinatingly, his old addictions, which he tried to satisfy every morning, no longer bothered him and he felt no desire for an energy drink.
Should he then crawl through the world to gain experience to ascend? It would have a humorous factor to do this, went through his head. He had to grin again. The image of a magician in robe, who could only move through this, came to his mind and he could almost laugh at his situation. But he urgently needed to get up. He gathered all his will and pulled himself up by the tree. Slowly he began to take a few steps. He had to find a new balance for this body. The feet, the new weight, just everything wanted to be balanced again.
After a few cautious steps, he seemed to slowly get the hang of it again, apart from an occasional fall. It was quite a sense of achievement for him, because although he basically knew how to walk, it was still a bit of a challenge. It didn't take very long for the system to send him a new message.
[System: Skill running acquired, they seem able to take their first steps. As the level increases, the cost of their endurance decreases slightly, and the speed continues to increase.]
[System: Do they want to accept this skill?]
[System: Skill Running Level 1 learned.]
[System: Experience gained.]
How much experience would he have to gain? How much until he was one level higher than now? He slowly began to explore the clearing. The place didn't offer many variety besides the grass, water and trees. At least until he saw something shimmering in the corner of his eye. There something moved over the clearing, and it seemed like living food of the gods. Looking at it and wishing to know what exactly he saw there, his ability to identify ignited.
[System: Slime Level?]
He was shown the level of the slime as unknown. Basically, he didn't have to use the skill, but he wanted to know if what he saw was real and somehow needed for himself another confirmation of what his eyes were already telling him. Completely carefree of him, the figure simply slipped past him and disappeared into the forest. As level 1, he did not feel the urge to immediately mess with the first creature that tried to cross his field of vision.
