In the morning Endermon woke up to a pile of provisions by the road. A simple note read, For the adventure. She began sorting through the stuff. She had most of it put away by the time the other two joined her.
While they finished putting stuff away, they talked about what to do next. They knew they needed a direction to go in, but until they got it, they should stay and work on strategy.
Endermon wished Shiloh could be involved with the process, but with her sleeping throughout the day, kind of limited the stuff she could help with. She also had to address the fact that they were secretly dating and as careful as they were, the others were bound to notice eventually.
Since it was mid-day by the time they got all their stuff put away, it was lunch time. She suggested Dresden go hunt something, because Endermon thought he was being whiny and annoying. Rutus volunteered to go with him. As they left, Endermon went to the training area, it was more of a large tree with the grass hastily cut. So she set about beautifying it.
By the time she was done, and they were back from their hunt, she was pleasantly worn out. She usually was after a project. But she had to make lunch, so she did some stretches, and got to work cleaning the poor animal that gave its life for their nourishment.
Endermon gave the universe an apology and after preparing lunch gave the small skeleton, well carcass, really, a small burial when the other two wouldn't see. Endermon didn't know why, but she didn't want Dresden and Rutus to know of her abilities.
During the late lunch Endermon kept quiet while Dresden and Rutus told and retold the events of the hunt. Finally they got tired of talking about it and talk turned to how to get more information about the treasure. And each idea was shot down for some reason or another, by one or all three. Finally they decided to go back to the tavern where they heard of the treasure in the first place.

With that settled Endermon volunteered to go first and they would rotate until they got more information, or until the fox came back, but the other two didn't need to know that bit of information.
So with the other two safely back at camp, Endermon ventured back into town. When she got there, there seemed to be no recollection of the building itself. She asked around, but no one knew what she was talking about. She saw the clock tower and opposite that, should have been the inn/tavern.
However there was just a blank wall. And no matter who she talked to, or which animals she reached out to, no one said anything about a tavern ever being there. Dejected, she walked back towards the river and catching her reflection in a window, reminded her that she hadn't changed clothes since she left home.
Trading a knife for some basic trousers and a simple shirt she went back to camp. She told them what happened. There were various degrees of disbelief coming from the other two and then another voice rang out from the trees.
It said maybe it was because she went during the day. They turned in the firelight to see Shiloh. Then the others chimed in. If she was so certain, she should go herself. Right then, in fact. Shiloh shrugged and was off.
Endermon knew it would take her no time at all, but would have to take extra time because they didn't know about Shiloh's abilities. She came back some time later. She said the same thing Endermon did.
They didn't believe her so they decided to go the next day. They also had no luck. So later that night, they all sat around talking about whether the inn was just a hallucination or not.
With no answers, at least not satisfactory ones, they all went to bed. Well to bed and coffin.
