Chapter 11.4

Rutus said that was weird, and they all sat down, pondering what that meant for their future. Then someone's stomach rumbled and they threw together a quick lunch. After eating and cleaning up, they saddled up and headed off down the road.

Later that night after they had settled in for the night, Shiloh was feeling restless. It was as if she had five cups of coffee and was too wired to sleep. Which makes sense, seeing as she had not had a full meal since the incident at the coast.

So Shiloh and Endetmon started fooling around, and Rutus said if they were going to do that, to go elsewhere and let her sleep. Endermon apologized and got whisked away. Things happened and even though it was thoroughly enjoyable, Endetmon was getting tired.

Shiloh brought her back and after promising to behave, zipped off into the night. It was almost dawn, when Shiloh returned. She had a bag of money, some clothing for Endermon and Rutus, and a box of supplies they had been running low on.

She lie down next to Endermon to get some sleep before everyone woke up for the day. It was late morning before Shiloh woke up to see nearly everything was ready to go, except her.

Leaning against a tree, she asked why no one woke ger up to help. Endermon said she looked so peaceful sleeping that she didn't want to wake her up. Shiloh smoothed out her wrinkled clothes and with one last look around, got on Dresden's horse and they rode off. It would still be a day or two before they were home again, so they wanted to make the stops as short as possible.

They rode on and by the time they got home, there was a letter from Dresden saying the aid had arrived. They set up a proper hospital and got the communal buildings up and running.

They hadn't rebuilt all the houses yet, but they were working on it. He thanked Endermon and the others and said he'd stay there until the repairs were finished. He didn't know when they'd be done, so he didn't know when he'd be back.

With two signatures at the bottom of the page, the letter ended. Endermon found the servant and had them write a return letter, and then they all went to their rooms for a rest.

With the staff taking care of the horses and their stuff, all Endermon wanted to do was sleep for a bit. She told Shiloh it would be nice to snuggle for a bit, even if Shiloh wasn't tired. Shiloh obliged and they promptly went to sleep. Apparently Shiloh was more tired than she thought.

Later on that evening, there was a line outside the wash room. All three of them needed to bathe and get some fresh clothes. They didn't argue about it, they just went in, bathed, and came out. By the time they were all done, it was dinner time.

The conversation centered around Dresden's village. They told what happened and there were shocked faces. They said Endermon sent for aid from the fairy kingdom, and it got there shortly after they left.

The butler asked if they ever found out who did it and why. Shiloh said it qas an interesting encounter in the forest. Four faces looked on expectantly. She told them a shortened version on account of people wanting, but she gave an accurate depiction of what happened.

Endermon watched as the servant looked to Rutus to see if she was okay. And as they held hands Rutus tenderly told them that she was fine. Endermon thought it was sweet.

After filling everyone in on what happened on their adventure, talk mostly died out in davor of eating. It was nice having a home cooked meal after being on the road for a couple of days. And now that everyone was caught up on what happened, they could go back to their routines.

Endermon went to the study and started writing a letter to her parents. She thanked themfor the aid and told them what happened after. She asked how things were at home and if they needed anything. Once she signed her name she sealed it and put it into a pile to be mailed.

Then she went to the kitchen and babbed some food without being seen by the cook or she'd have gotten a talking to. She went to get other things and disappeared to the back yardfor a few moments. When she got back, she found Shiloh.
