Felix felt a bit embarrassed being seen naked by a woman, even though she was a succubus and his servant.
He got up and draped a nightgown from the bedside over himself, then tore off the bandages on his body and began to softly chant a spell of natural healing.
Despite losing the ability to use holy light energy, Felix was still capable of harnessing natural elements to heal his wounds.
Natural healing, an elemental magic passed down from the elves, is an enhanced version of Rejuvenation Magic, highly effective in healing wounds.
Little by little, sparkling green light began to gather at Felix's wound. This light was a composite form of external elemental energy and the life force within Felix.
The effect of natural healing is to extract the life force of the healed and merge it with elemental power, stimulating the flesh of the wound to accelerate healing.
This was Felix’s understanding of the magic principle, not found in "The Arcana of Elemental Sorcery."
When the green light became dense enough, it slowly entered Felix's wound and merged with his flesh, causing a tingling, itchy sensation. This process lasted for fifteen minutes, and by the time Felix’s magic was exhausted, only a barely visible scar remained.
When he stopped casting, Felix was sweating profusely, not from the magic’s drain but from the unbearable itchiness as his flesh regenerated.
When the wound's recovery speed became visible to the naked eye, the itching sensation from the regenerating flesh was intense, like being tickled in the armpits by a group of people with goose feathers – an indescribably agonizing experience!
"Did you find out who tried to assassinate me?" Felix asked in a grave tone, taking a spoonful of porridge handed to him by the succubus sister.
The answer given by the first middle-aged assassin had left Felix puzzled for a long time.
God.
Felix hadn't cared about this term before, but after the incident, he felt that the serious demeanor of the middle-aged assassin didn’t seem like a deception. So, what was the connection between his assassination and God? This made Felix uneasy.
The succubus sister brought the arrowhead to Felix and handed him a piece of parchment filled with dense data, saying slowly, "The toxin on the arrowhead is snake venom, specifically from the Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles."
“The Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles!?” Felix’s face showed a hint of fear upon hearing this. He was well aware of this fierce spectacled cobra, as its venom could overpower even those strengthened by elemental forces.
A knight who had entered the Silver Domain, if bitten by the Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles and not treated with an antidote or healed by a holy priest within a half magical hour, would die from blood coagulation!
Indeed, the venom of the Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles contains a coagulating element, a terrifying toxin but also a favorite of high-level assassins.
If Felix’s blood hadn’t possessed a more dominant power of frost, he might have suffocated from blood coagulation on his way back to Felendia!
Thinking of the information about the Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles, Felix's expression turned strange. If he remembered correctly, the Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles lived on a circular island at the continent's border!

This island, about half the size of a province and known as the Isle of Vipers, was a city within the Free Alliance.
As if to confirm Felix's guess, the succubus sister continued, “The Serpent of the Sirocco Spectacles primarily resides on the Isle of Vipers.
Its venom is very rare, not something ordinary assassins can acquire. So the assassin who tried to kill you likely came from there.”
She then handed Felix a yellowed piece of paper torn from a book, an introduction to the Isle of Vipers.
The Isle of Vipers, as the name suggests, is an island teeming with venomous snakes.
At one point, it was home to over 126 different species of snakes, including ferocious ones like the Yamani King Cobra. The entire island formed a food chain dominated by different levels of venomous snakes!
The first humanoid beings to discover the island were elves, but they eventually perished due to snake attacks. The second group to discover the island were humans, who paid a heavy toll in lives to reclaim the land from the snakes.
If not for the twelve grand wizards who later scorched the entire island with heavenly fire, human occupation of the land would have taken much longer and cost many more lives.
The fire, unquenchable even by torrential rain, raged across the Isle of Vipers for seven days and nights, summoned by the dense fire elements of the magicians. This inferno burned down most of the island's forests, killed millions of venomous snakes, and cleared space for humans to establish a city.
Even so, the Isle of Vipers still harbors a large number of snakes, with venomous ones frequently spotted in the wild.
In the preserved primal forests, there are even golden subspecies of snake monsters. The island is inhabited mostly by exiles from various countries, free citizens, and even notorious black magicians and villains wanted across the continent.
A land of freedom often implies a land of chaos. This is the lesson taught in "Order and Law" to practitioners of magic.
"The Isle of Vipers?" Felix frowned upon hearing this. After finishing his bowl of milk, he stood up and looked out the window, saying gravely, "
If I'm not mistaken, the Isle of Vipers has always been home to a well-known assassin's league. But why would they want to assassinate me? To my knowledge, they are a group of highly principled order-keepers." Rubbing his forehead, Felix was baffled about why someone would want him dead.
God?
The only word uttered by the middle-aged assassin now tangled in Felix's heart like a nightmare, making him feel as if he had forgotten something extremely important.
The succubus sister, always choosing silence over matters unknown to her, tidied up the table and then quietly left the room. She knew her master preferred not to be disturbed while pondering.
Gazing out the window, Felix strained to recall any potentially forgotten details, but unfortunately, he couldn’t turn these jumbled memories into clues to find the reason behind the sudden assassination attempt. After a long silence, Felix gave up on this futile train of thought.
He took out the dagger obtained from the assassin the night before from the Blue Crystal, planning to show these items along with the arrowhead to the middle-aged nun to see if she could understand the connection to "God."
As Felix was about to leave the magic tower, the succubus sister stopped him. This carefree but irresistibly charming woman stood in his way with a serious tone, "Master, your wounds haven't healed yet. It's very dangerous to go out now."
"Always avoiding danger means never having a chance to grow." Looking at the serious-faced succubus sister, Felix felt a sudden warmth in his heart. He smiled slightly and said gently, "Assassins are cautious lurkers. Having failed last night, one dead and one injured, they won’t strike at me again until they figure out my true capabilities."
Felix's strong confidence made the succubus sister hesitate. After a moment, she handed him a black cloak, saying earnestly, "Then you must wear this!"
The Doom Robe!
Felix was momentarily startled, then after a brief silence, he draped the legendary demon-cursed robe over himself. If he had worn the "Doom Robe" last night, he wouldn’t have been so gravely injured. Made from the hide of a great demon, this robe had tremendous resilience.
Not just crossbow bolts, but even Gamma rays, a highly corrosive form of magic, couldn’t harm it in the slightest.
Such a treasure would be coveted by many, but also feared due to its legendary curse. Felix suddenly remembered the bold shadow elf who dared to wear the Doom Robe, unfazed by the curse. If a woman could disregard such a curse, why should he, a transmigrator, fear an unfounded superstition?
Watching Felix's departing figure, the succubus sister’s lips curved into a mysterious smile. Her red lips parted softly as she murmured, "My little master, I look forward to the moment you overcome the demon's trial."
"Raising a qualified master is truly a troublesome task," she muttered to herself, adjusting her ample bosom constrained under the tight mage robe. "It’s exhausting for poor Vivian."
