Chapter 80: Felix's Outburst!
Just like the entirety of a dragon's body being treasured, it's the same with other golden species, including demons and angels.
However, the latter don't possess such massive bodies, with their value mainly lying in the puppets created based on them. In a duel between two legendary warriors, having a puppet made from a golden species can be an absolute game-changer, leaving the opponent with no chance to fight back.
Puppets based on golden species often retain up to seven or more layers of their original power, a considerable boost in strength!
Even though Felix hasn’t stepped into the Golden Dominion, if he has a fresh corpse of a high-ranking demon as a template, along with the magical tower left by the mysterious Gamma Master and that enchanting high-ranking succubus, Felix is confident he can preserve over eighty percent of the demon's original strength!
This would be a powerful asset since even eighty percent of a high-ranking demon’s strength surpasses that of the Golden Dominion.
Most importantly, puppets are imprinted with a soul mark, making it impossible for them to rebel before their bodies are destroyed.
Risk and reward often go hand in hand!
...
The demon, clutching its head, rolled on the ground in agony. The holy light invading its brain had severely damaged its soul, and the immense pain was gradually clouding its senses. Its eyes, already blood-red, dripped blood down its ferocious face, a terrifying sight.
"If it recovers, it definitely won't spare me."
Felix only pondered for two seconds before understanding this and decided to take advantage of the situation and go for the kill.
Lady Ireland had once painstakingly trained Felix in evasion skills, as Felix, with a quarter elven blood, had a natural advantage in agility and responsiveness.
Lady Ireland's whip was no joke. Felix's ability to endure it for so long, even satisfying Lady Ireland, spoke volumes about his agility.
"You don't need to learn how to attack your enemy; just learn how to dodge their attacks," Felix remembered Lady Ireland saying as she wielded her whip. She didn't teach him how to attack, but focused on honing his survival skills.
A slender frame inherently has certain advantages in dodging attacks, and Felix was confident that he could evade the attacks of this bulky high-ranking demon, especially in a burst of physical strength.
Its overly large and cumbersome body inevitably led to some slowness. Seeing the demon's bulky muscles, Felix knew it relied on brute strength.
"Clang!"
Felix leaped to pick up his rune sword, infusing it with the power of ice and thrusting it into the wailing demon's brain. Unfortunately, the strike failed.
The demon instinctively raised its hand to protect its head, and the sword only managed to scrape its arm, barely penetrating the tough scales and leaving a slight wound.
This all-out attack slowed Felix down. If he hadn’t immediately retreated after missing, he would have likely been injured by the demon's wide-reaching claw.

The burning holy light in the demon's brain started to fade. Felix realized he didn't have much time left. If he couldn't kill the demon while the holy light was still disrupting its consciousness, once it recovered, he would be the one being hunted!
Felix never realized it before, but when facing real combat, he discovered how significant the deficiencies in his close-combat awareness were. He knew almost no lethal melee techniques!
It seemed that he had always been stuck in a mindset of magical drills. In terms of magic, he could evolve his spells in over a hundred ways. However, when it came to hand-to-hand combat, his repertoire was limited to just a few techniques.
Felix's attack infuriated the high-ranking demon, who struggled to its feet despite the deep, soul-burning pain. Flapping its enormous wings, the demon lunged at Felix’s slightly frail figure.
In an instant, the whole road was engulfed in flying dust and stones. Each flap of the demon's ten-meter-wide wings stirred up a fierce sandstorm. Dust and debris spread with the demon's movements, obscuring everything within fifty meters, making it impossible to see anything clearly.
Opportunity!
This was Felix's first instinct after dodging the demon's attack.
The swirling dust clouded his vision but also obscured the high-ranking demon’s sight. Clearly still suffering from the erosion of the holy light, the demon must be in immense pain.
The intense pain surely distracted the demon’s mental focus. Losing its sense of Felix, the demon became visibly frantic, rapidly flapping its huge wings, trying to prevent Felix from approaching before its mental clarity returned.
But Felix was different at this moment. His mind was highly focused, and his ability to sense his surroundings was at its peak. Even without using his eyes, Felix could accurately sense the demon's location and seize the opportunity for a lethal strike.
Amid the swirling dust, howling winds, and flying sand and stones...
Felix, having escaped the demon’s attack range, closed his eyes completely, relying solely on his mental ability to sense elemental fluctuations to determine the demon's position. The cunning demon kept moving, constantly changing its position to prevent Felix from ambushing it.
Felix took three seconds to think and concluded that his current melee skills were not very promising. Although being transformed into a death knight gave him decent hand-to-hand combat abilities, relying on these unmastered skills to turn the tables at this critical moment wasn’t in line with his usual cautious approach.
There was only one way left!
To decide the final victory with magic!
Felix's lips moved rapidly, uttering incantations. His magical power wasn’t abundant, so he immediately pulled out the Mammon’s Redemption, using the power of this demi-artifact to burst forth in his peak form!
"God tells me: to judge all those who have committed sins!"
Felix's strongest offensive magic was the Holy Light Magic’s series of "Lord’s Judgments," specifically the "Holy Cross" Judgment Magic used by judges.
However, the problem was, after being transformed by the death knight Reinhardt, Felix could no longer summon even a trace of holy light. His only option was to take a risk and use the "Inverse Cross" Judgment Magic, which he was not very familiar with.
Fallen angels had transformed the original "Holy Cross" Judgment Magic, using dark pacts to create new spells known as "Inverse Cross" Judgment Magic – a newly born dark judgment art!
"God says, you are guilty!"
Felix raised Mammon’s Redemption, pointing it towards the distant demon, speaking in a deep voice.
The incantation of the "Inverse Cross" Judgment Magic was the most imposing spell Felix had ever seen. He had always been curious about who had translated these inscriptions into spells.
"God says, those who are guilty must be judged!"
Felix thrust his staff forcefully into the ground. Surging magic swept across the earth, shattering the hard stones at his feet into dust that scattered into the air.
A crater about five meters in diameter formed under Felix's feet, and he stood in its very center. His pale hands, veins bulging, clenched the staff tightly, teeth gritted as he endured the backlash of the magic.
"God says, I will cleanse all sins and rain down wrath to burn the world!"
Felix's slender figure trembled slightly, the trembling intensifying until his body shook as if electrified. His handsome face twisted slightly, as if enduring immense pain.
Dark elements gathered in Felix's hands, then transferred into Mammon’s Redemption he clutched tightly. Gradually, a black light spread from his hands, rippling like water waves, instantly enveloping the entire space.
The demon let out a terrified howl. It spread its wings to flee but was entangled by the binding black light, pinned in place.
Felix, teeth clenched and face contorted in pain, pointed towards the demon and said each word with heavy emphasis:
"Inverse Cross - Purifying Light!!!"
