Chapter 75: What is Charm?

Chapter 75: What is Charm?

When Felix awoke, it had been three full days.

If it weren't for his breathing, the innkeeper, a charming and seasoned lady, might have thought he was dead. It was evident she cared for Felix, as she even used her own money to call a doctor for him.

In simple terms, a doctor here is akin to an alchemist, the final branch of alchemy. Generally, doctors are lower-level potion masters with a bit of magical power, skilled in some basic offensive and healing spells, and knowledgeable in herb gathering and potion mixing.

Such potion masters are common in every town, holding a status similar to a mayor.

Magic can heal injuries, but for curing diseases and other ailments, basic medicine is more effective. Only priests proficient in high-level holy light magic can heal diseases with pure magic, a rarity for most people to even witness in their lifetime.

Felix woke up feeling extremely hungry, but after eating half a pound of bear meat, the hunger gradually subsided. It seemed his terrifying metabolism had stabilized and returned to its normal state.

Dressing and getting out of bed, Felix felt exceptionally spirited, better than ever! He even felt capable of wrestling a tiger with his bare hands.

His clothes had been changed to a new, expensive-looking pure white velvet nightgown. Checking his drawer, Felix found all his belongings intact, his Blue Crystal still on his middle finger, though his runic sword had been moved to the far corner of the wardrobe.

"You're awake!"

A surprised female voice came from the door. It belonged to a mature and alluring woman, the voluptuous and ripe-bodied innkeeper.

Felix looked up, recalling the beautiful matron who seemed to be the innkeeper. He smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, thank you for your care."

The beautiful woman smiled back, her mature charm evident. She had a fondness for the handsome, slightly effeminate youth, whose delicate face stirred her heart every time she saw him. She wasn't a woman of overflowing sympathy; on the contrary, she was a decisive and ruthless figure!

This was the empire's frontier, filled with violent adventurers and cunning merchants.

Perhaps unknown to many, over 90% of the inns in this border area had charming and plump innkeepers. Many of these women, wise and beautiful, retained their allure. They belonged to an alliance controlled by a mysterious woman!

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

An informed person would realize the enormity of this intelligence network.

News about Felix had been sent out three days ago. Her direct superior hadn't given exact information about this mysterious young man; the reply was brief: "Be careful, take good care of him."

It was an intriguing response. The woman interpreted it as: watch him, take good care of him.

"I'll prepare something for you to eat. What would you like? Milk? Wine? Or perhaps..." The voluptuous innkeeper smiled teasingly at Felix, suggestively pushing out her ample chest as if asking if he wanted a bite…

Felix ignored this level of flirtation outright. This wasn't the first time he had encountered such propositions, having received numerous ambiguous hints from several curvaceous mature women along the way.

Few lonely, mature women could resist a boy with a face as delicate as a doll's, especially one with such a soft and handsome profile.

"Milk, with three sugars. And a bowl of wheat porridge, please." Felix smiled at the innkeeper, then turned to untie his nightgown's sash, clad only in his undergarments as he inspected his body.

His abdomen and chest were solid as rock, muscular yet not bulky, the ideal physique with strength, explosiveness, and speed!

His skin was paler than before, the blue veins beneath just visible. Compared to when he first left the Burial Ground of Bones, there was now a hint more color in his complexion. Perhaps the sudden intense metabolic burst had generated much blood.

Felix placed his hand on his chest, feeling a steady and strong heartbeat, seemingly faster than before, around thirty beats per minute. The three forces within him had stabilized; the icy power from the death knight Reinhardt in his body grew stronger with the blood flow, assimilating and devouring other elements to bolster itself.

After changing into a clean, fitted shirt from the table, Felix felt much more refreshed. Now unable to use holy light energy, he had switched from his white ceremonial robes to avoid trouble after leaving the Burial Ground of Bones.

Turning around, Felix unexpectedly found the voluptuous innkeeper still there. She stood at the doorway, her eyes shimmering as she watched Felix change and show off his muscles. Clearly, the mature woman was impressed with the 'substance' beneath Felix's delicate and handsome face, her chest heaving noticeably, apparently 'thirsty'.

"Cough." Felix cleared his throat, turning to face the mature innkeeper, and softly said, "I think I'm a bit hungry."

Blushing, a rare sight for the experienced and mature woman, a flush spread from her ears down her neck. But her coy shyness quickly vanished. Lifting her head, she cast a seductive glance at Felix, then, accentuating her ample chest, turned and sashayed downstairs, her rounded hips swaying, leaving Felix with a captivating view of her retreating figure.

It was a typical morning when men are easily aroused, and Felix was no exception.

How could these seasoned, wise women, who had weathered life's storms, be compared to naive young girls? They are skilled, infinitely charming, capable of submission, meeting a man's desires with a hazy, seductive gaze, skillfully pleasing with their beauty and intelligence. They know how to cater to a man's sense of conquest, making him willingly succumb to their whims...

This was a beautiful morning, marking a new beginning for Felix.
