Watching Marilyn's graceful figure as she departed, Felix's eyes suddenly burst with a faint white light. In his vision, the woman walking away was no longer a human form, but a majestic silver dragon with shimmering silver-white scales, embodying elegance and pride.
Marilyn seemed to sense something, casting a thoughtful glance at Felix before leaving the room. By then, Felix's eyes had returned to normal.
He smiled faintly and whispered, "Good night."
"Good night," Marilyn replied, slowly closing the door behind her.
What Felix had just tested was the "Eye of Judgment," a new ability bequeathed to him by Lady Ireland.
It allowed him to see the soul forms of any intelligent beings and discern their moral alignment. The souls of beings aligned with good emitted a white light, the purer the good, the more intense the whiteness. Conversely, the souls of those aligned with evil shone a red light, which intensified with the degree of evil, eventually turning into a murky red glow like fresh blood.
Besides red and white, those belonging to the natural alignment, like the followers of the Goddess of Life, radiated a green light of life. These believers were required to respect life, and within the range of the "Eye of Judgment," Felix could see many such individuals emanating a rich green aura.
The "Eye of Judgment" was one of Saint Elouan's abilities to discern evil, simple yet effective. Additionally, Lady Ireland had granted Felix another power, the "Sacred Flame," crucial for a candidate of Saint Elouan.
The "Flame of Judgment" originated from the deepest fires of hell.
The first Saint Elouan, an angel with demonic lineage, had ventured into hell to judge the wicked. In his battle with Lucifer, the lord of hell, he learned to wield the infernal flames. This unique hellish energy became a hallmark of Saint Elouan.
Observing the faintly flickering red flame in his palm, Felix noted it was cool to the touch yet possessed a potent corrosive effect on the soul, a flame meant for the punishment of souls.
During Lady Ireland's kiss, the "Flame of Judgment" was imprinted into Felix's body. His power wasn't yet strong enough to shape the flame into a massive sword, like the fiery red greatswords used by the newborn Seraphim.
The power of Saint Elouan stemmed from judgment, with the judgment of sin as their source of strength.
It was the power of faith, as well as of the elements.
A candidate for Saint Elouan had two developmental paths.
One was the "Holy Cross Judgment" technique Felix learned from the Church's Judgment Department. However, it was a weakened version without the "Sacred Flame" as its energy foundation, merely using the power of holy light for attack, significantly reducing its potency.

The other path was unique, stemming from Lady Ireland's powers.
As a creature of darkness, she inherently possessed the ability to control negative energy, similar to the first Saint Elouan with demonic lineage. Under the protection of "My Lord," once the conflicting energies achieved balance, an uncompleted trial candidate for Saint Elouan would become a unique existence. In the "Old Testament," they were known as "Watchmen of God."
The "Watchmen of God" held a very special status within the Church, as candidates for Saint Elouan, their power was no less than that of angels. In secular society, they were the spokespersons of "My Lord," sometimes even replacing the Pope in declaring divine oracles.
This explained the special treatment Felix received at St Pilds Cathedral.
To them, Felix was evidently the new candidate for Saint Elouan, perhaps even a newly born Watchman.
Sitting cross-legged on his bed in meditation, Felix closed off his perception of the outside world, focusing it within his room.
Since losing his memory, or rather, since his mysterious resurrection, some changes had occurred in his body that he still couldn't fully understand.
First, the fragment of the Goddess of Pestilence's divinity, which had fused with his body and replaced his heart, served as his energy focal point.
Then, during his inexplicable venture into the fallen realm of an unknown deity, the fragment helped him devour the nearly extinct deity, using its soul as a vessel to forge the infamous cursed sword "the Lost Enchanter" that pierced his heart.
The connections between these realities were still unclear to Felix. Perhaps only after accumulating sufficient faith power, as Lady Ireland suggested, and unlocking the sealed realm within the fragment, would he understand.
What Felix urgently sought to resolve was the exponentially growing "Frost Power" within his body.
For some unknown reason, following his peculiar resurrection, all forms of elemental power within him had vanished – the holy light, natural elements, even the shadow power left by the Shadow Queen Christie had disappeared.
Only the "Frost Power" remained, growing stronger.
Before Lady Ireland awakened his memory, the "Frost Power" had swelled to its limits within him, even seeping into his bloodstream, growing with its flow.
Had he not encountered Lady Ireland and responded to her summons to complete the trial of Saint Elouan, it wouldn't have been long before the "Frost Power" completely transformed his flesh, turning him into a true undead, a Death Knight.
But before the "Frost Power" could finish its transformation, Lady Ireland appeared.
She infused holy light into Felix's body and left the seed of the "Flame of Judgment." Under the suppression of these two dominant energies, the "Frost Power" was forced to recede, concentrating in Felix's hands, clinging to the shattered divinity of the Goddess of Pestilence.
As the "Frost Power" relinquished control over his body, Felix gradually regained his human warmth. His senses of taste, touch, and smell, slowly deteriorating from the "Frost Power" erosion, also began to return. However, the highly concentrated "Frost Power" was compressed into his hands, making them as pale and crystalline as ice, resembling jade.
His hands retained their sense of touch but were cool to the touch. The suppressed "Frost Power" maintained a narrow energy channel to his heart, linking with the fragment of the Goddess of Pestilence's divinity. Without this link, the "Flame of Judgment" might have already expelled the "Frost Power" from Felix's body.
Felix's current task was to harness the chaotic energies within his body, bringing them under his control.
The "Flame of Judgment," left as a brand by Lady Ireland, could be naturally gathered by Felix's mere thought. Now, the only thing left was to establish a new equilibrium between the passively attracted holy light and the absolutely suppressed "Frost Power."
Like when he practiced shadow magic, achieving a balance in the quantity and quality of elemental energy.
To cross the barriers between planes, his current power was insufficient.
He needed to find a path to rapidly enhance his strength.
