Chapter 25: My Lord, from the Radiance

Chapter 25: My Lord, from the Radiance

The morning breeze awakened Felix from his slumber. As he opened his eyes and looked out the window, he found everything covered in a gleaming white.

Snowflakes, one by one, petal by petal, drifted with the wind, blanketing the vast land. In the distance, children's joyful laughter echoed.

Was it winter already?

Felix quietly donned his cloak and slowly stepped out of Felendia.

“It’s snowing.” Felix saw Vivian standing solemnly in the garden, standing quietly with her eyes closed, as the pristine snowflakes fell upon her, sparkling white, adorning everything around her in harmony, as if she had become one with the world.

The sound of Felix's footsteps awakened Vivian, who slowly opened her beautiful eyes and smiled warmly at Felix. “I love the snow. It’s the happiest time of my life.”

Felix was slightly mesmerized. He loved that smile, pure as a lily blooming quietly in the corner of the Saint Erde Cathedral. At that moment, the woman before him seemed not a succubus, but an angel…

“There are no snowflakes in Hell, only lava, marshes, toxic gases, and endless strife,” Vivian said with a gentle voice, devoid of her usual seduction, clear and pure. She opened her arms, as if to embrace the whole world, unwilling to brush off the snow that had settled on her.

This sight stirred something deep in Felix. He slowly opened his hands, and a crystalline snowflake landed in his palm, melting slowly against the coldness of his death knight's body.

A trace of icy power began to gather, covering Felix’s palm with snow. These natural spirits spun rapidly, condensing bit by bit. Under Felix's will, the snow transformed into a crystalline white lotus, a flower not of this world, but from the depths of Felix's buried memories.

“For you,” Felix said with a smile, looking at the slightly astonished woman before him.

Vivian extended her hands to catch the white lotus formed from snow in Felix's palm, a look of surprise crossing her face and a glint in her eyes Felix couldn’t quite decipher. She gazed at the crystalline white lotus in her hand, raised her head, and asked softly, “What’s it called?”

“A white lotus, a symbol of purity,” Felix replied, flicking off the snow from his cloak, then turned and walked away from Felendia.

“A white lotus, purity,” Vivian murmured, gazing at the crystalline white snow lotus in her hand. After a long, silent moment, she smiled in the direction of Felix's departing figure. “I like it.”

Saint Erde Cathedral, the confessional.

“Your hair,” the middle-aged nun said in surprise, pointing at Felix's glistening white hair, her face a picture of silent astonishment. Felix remained calm, his gaze lightly sweeping over the nun before he removed his gray cloak and placed it on a hanger. He chose not to respond.

“I need the Prophecy Book,” Felix stated, standing before the nun, his gaze fixed on her eyes.

The nun’s face registered shock. “How did you know the Prophecy Book is with me?!” she asked incredulously.

“A guess,” Felix replied, looking down. The Old Testament, Prophecy Book, and Major Prophecy Book formed part of the Book of Revelation. Since the middle-aged nun had the Old Testament, it was highly likely she also possessed the complete Prophecy Book.

“For thousands of years, only a handful have understood the mysteries of the Book of Revelation. Each one of them was blessed by divine grace,” the middle-aged nun began, but Felix interrupted her.

“I just want to know if you will give it to me or not.” Felix shook his head, showing no interest in these irrelevant details. He clearly remembered that there were a total of one hundred and sixteen sets of the Book of Revelation, but very few over the millennia had deciphered the sacred mysteries hidden within, one of whom was Saint Iyeta!

“No, I won’t give it!” the nun said firmly, shaking her head.

In the thousands of years of declining faith, complete versions of the Book of Revelation had gradually been lost. There were only sixteen complete sets in the Notre Dame Cathedral, and she had fortuitously obtained one because she was a holy priest.

She was already annoyed that Felix had borrowed the Bible - Old Testament using underhanded methods; how could she willingly hand over the complete Book of Revelation to him?

Felix nodded silently, then took out the Old Testament from the Blue Crystal and placed it on the table of the confessional. Without a word, he put on his deep gray cloak and left the Saint Erde Cathedral.

The middle-aged nun watched Felix's departing figure, slightly dazed. Her gaze fell on the Old Testament on the table, and she picked it up. Flipping through those pages steeped in historical depth, her face soon showed an uncontrollable shock.

The Bible - Old Testament was covered with dense annotations. These scrambled notes extended to the third-last page of the Bible - Old Testament.

“He deciphered the magic runes on the Bible - Old Testament?” The nun’s eyes widened in shock.

The Notre Dame Cathedral Council had spent three whole months deciphering the magical secrets of the Old Testament, but him? It had only taken him a mere half a month?!

On the last page of the Old Testament, the nun saw a line written by Felix.

“My Lord descends from the light, bringing eternity. My Lord departs from the light, taking away faith. My Lord also spreads the light across the world, where angels are born from the source of light, the place where My Lord wakes from his slumber.”
