"God decreed: My followers shall not consume the fresh blood and liver of living beings, for they are the source of impurity."
From a hidden compartment beneath the third level of the altar, a blood-red cross rose, upon which was nailed a priest clad in white, long since lifeless. Thirteen silver nails pierced the deceased priest's body, inserted into his forehead, arms, heart, navel, thighs, and toes.
The blood-red cross was directly above the center of the four rune troughs, the focal point of the descending ritual. The dark red blood dripping from the body of the white-clad priest began to interact with the boiling blood swirling in mid-air. Their elemental forces resonated, then surged together towards the base of the cross.
The lich pulled out an ancient parchment scroll, beginning to chant the final sacrificial verses. The voice was deep and hoarse, the syllables strange and spirited, incomprehensible to anyone. These bizarre sounds seemed like phrases passed down from an age before language had formed.
The lich drew a dark golden dagger and plunged it into the chest of the white-clad priest. As the incantations echoed, it slowly sliced open the priest's chest. The surging blood enveloped the lich conducting the ritual, forming a barrier that completely blocked Felix’s prying eyes.
There was no time for hesitation!
Felix was painfully aware that once the lich placed the heart, liver, stomach, lungs, and kidneys on the Scale of Death, the divine descent ritual would be unstoppable. They would face a true god from the abyss, even if it was a lower deity...
"Extreme Madness!"
Felix placed his pallid right hand on the forehead of his ogre battle servant. A glimmer of blood-red light began to seep into the ogre's brain. Its ugly face contorted with uncontrollable agony, thick saliva dripping from its gaping mouth as it let out a series of unconscious, painful howls.
Upon activating Extreme Madness, Felix forcefully gathered his mental strength to invade the ogre's consciousness. With his immense mental power, he temporarily gained control over the ogre's body.
All the rune marks on the ogre servant's body started to glow faintly. A thread of blood-red spread from its forehead, quickly enveloping its entire skin. Its limbs' muscles swelled, and veins bulged all over its body like wriggling earthworms.

As Felix activated the terminal magic runes etched in its mental space, a hint of madness appeared in the ogre's vacant eyes - a blood-red, frenzied madness.
In mere moments, the ogre's eyes turned completely blood-red, its bloodthirsty gaze reminiscent of a ruthless demon from hell, greedy and violent.
When the blood-red glow became dense to the point of seeming tangible, streams of fresh blood began to trickle from the ogre's eye sockets.
It was like a prison door suddenly flung open! A series of cracking sounds erupted from the ogre's body, and with a thunderous howl, the ogre, driven into Extreme Madness by Felix, underwent a brutal mutation right before his eyes!
The magic rune marks on the ogre's body started to fracture bit by bit, and a blood-red light emerged around those broken runes. In just a few seconds, the ogre's stature grew by fifty centimeters, transforming from over three meters tall to a four-meter-tall giant!
Trickles of fresh blood oozed from the ogre's pores, soon turning it into a massive blood-covered figure.
Felix hesitated no longer and quickly focused his mind to try and control the mutated ogre's body. The extreme intensity of the mutation was beyond his expectations, and he feared the ogre wouldn't survive more than a few minutes.
Controlled by Felix's mental command, the ogre leapt up, its colossal form soaring over ten meters before landing heavily in the Four Valleys.
The entire valley fell silent for a moment, even the lich's chanting paused.
The berserk ogre let out a roar and, with one hand, grasped its 500-pound iron club, smashing it down on a gargoyle!
The terrifying power of the ogre was evident as its massive iron club, whooshing through the air, emitted a dull sound that seemed to split the very atmosphere. The earth-shattering blow drove a gargoyle deep into the ground, leaving only its shattered head visible above the soil.
Retrieving its giant club, the ogre battle servant howled as it lunged towards a terrified cursed wizard. With one hand, it grabbed the wizard who was too slow to dodge.
Hunger gleamed in the ogre's bloodshot eyes as it opened its massive mouth and bit down on the wizard's head amidst his desperate screams.
"Crack!" Fresh blood gushed out like a fountain. The ogre chewed a few times before swallowing the wizard's head. Tossing aside the nearly twisted-apart corpse, it roared again and pounced towards the remaining gargoyles.
The middle-aged nun and her companions were completely stunned. Had they not quickly moved out of the ogre's line of sight, they too might have been devoured on the spot.
After swiftly killing several gargoyles, those semi-undead creatures did something Felix never expected: they began to wail and flee towards the outskirts of the valley.
Felix's pale face was covered with a sheen of fine sweat. He felt his control over the ogre battle servant weakening as it, stimulated by the blood and driven into frenzy, began to resist his mental energy. This made him uneasy.
Gritting his teeth, Felix began to forcefully gather his mental strength.
Regardless of the cost, he had to maintain control over the ogre battle servant long enough to rescue the Silver Hand, trapped in the Prison of Bones.
