The magic tower is divided into three parts. The first is the outer defense system, centered around a large energy-gathering array, supplemented by a composite offensive and defensive star array.
The second part is the basement, a secret chamber system hidden beneath the foundation. Dark magicians prefer to place their experiment tables underground, as the corroding air below is best at attracting inert elements. The danger in the basement is much greater than the outer layers, for spellcasters tend to turn failed living experiments into guardians of these chambers!
Undoubtedly, the most perilous part of the magic tower is its highest floor—the Observatory!
Each spellcaster's observatory serves a different purpose, but without question, the guardians here are exceedingly fearsome. Without the magic rune imprint of the original caster, any forceful takeover would not only be costly but could also potentially destroy the entire tower!
Every magic tower has a "Self-Destruct Mode," a final gift left by the caster for themselves and their enemies alike. It's the world's most splendid and cruelest firework display, without any equal!
The Fairmuth family once dispatched a 300-knight legion along with three groups of magic caster teams to seize a legendary spellcaster's magic tower in the Maya Mountains. Sadly, after three years, there has been no word from the team that entered the tower; not a single survivor...
Felendia's first level contains over 360 engraved arrays, indicating the existence of more than 36 level-65 passive trigger spells...
Felendia's second level, no fewer than 120 medium-sized composite star arrays...
Felendia's third level, about 60 large-scale dark magics—The "Reverse Cross"...
...
On the final level of Felendia, Felix saw the enigmatic Master Gamma and also the mushroom cloud etched on the dark gold door by arcane craftsmanship. Without a doubt, the super magic array sprawling across the ninth floor is widely known as "Judgement Day"!
"You're here," the mysterious Master Gamma said, watching Felix with a smile crafted from "Dead Sea Sand" on his face, which unfortunately looked too stiff and pale.
Master Gamma stepped behind Felix, glanced at the mushroom cloud carved on the dark gold door, and said in a flat tone, "Child, don't be surprised. This is just the firework I prepared for myself when I was young..."
"Fireworks? 'Judgement Day'?" Felix scoffed, his pale face couldn't help but reveal a bitter smile. In the eyes of the mighty, was 'Judgement Day,' an elemental spell of near-forbidden power, just a splendid firework? What kind of mindset was that?
Felix couldn't imagine...
"Judgement Day" is a fire element level-95 magic, a quasi-forbidden judgment spell. "Judgement Day" is a wide-range attack spell, akin to a super-sized "Meteor Fire Rain." Its vast attack scope and renowned for a lower attack intensity is an acknowledged flaw of "Judgement Day."
"Judgement Day" could easily destroy an army of tens of thousands, but for legends and beyond, it was just a magnificent firework show!
Master Gamma offered no explanation, as he felt it unnecessary. He believed that when Felix reached his stature, he would naturally understand his sentiments.
Master Gamma slowly turned around, with a 'clang,' he pulled a super-long 'stick' made of silver-white metal from beneath the energy orb of the observatory.
Felix's face showed surprise, for he had always thought that the two-meter-long pure metal 'stick' was a support point for the magic array. But the elemental fluctuation that surged forth told Felix that this metal rod was, in fact, a magic wand!
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Magic wands are rarely made entirely of metal, because the materials in metal that are conducive to magic are incredibly expensive. Even for casters as wealthy as they are, such extravagance is not within reach!
Another reason is that if the magic wand is too heavy, the caster may not be able to handle it well since casting large spells requires not only chanting incantations but also forming magical seals with hand movements. The mental exertion becomes as intense as physical labor, and even those who minor in swordsmanship among the dark species may find it overwhelming!
"Child," the enigmatic caster handed a silver-white 'long stick' to Felix, looking down at the contemplative Felix with a voice that grated like metal on metal, "things are far less complicated than you imagine."
"I am different from the 'Night Watchers.' The divine one among them can descend to this plane in a special way even without a deity's status. But I can't. Whether I succeed or fail, I can never return to this plane. I need an heir to inherit my legacy on this plane, along with my vendetta..."
Vendetta?
Felix's hands tightened suddenly and then slowly relaxed. He lifted his head to meet the piercing gaze of the mysterious Gamma master and asked faintly, "Why me?"
The mysterious Gamma master seemed pleased with Felix's indifferent tone. He nodded slowly and with a voice as harsh as scraping metal, he said, "You are a Gamma master; you belong to the 'Night Watchers,' and you are exceptional."
Is the first reason being a Gamma master? The second being Lady Ireland? And only the third being his own merit?
Felix couldn't help but give a bitter smile. He took the nameless silver-white 'long stick' and bowed respectfully to the enigmatic Gamma master. He had no reason to refuse, no matter the cost, he wouldn't give up on the legacy before him!
After all, he already possessed the safest fortress in the world, didn't he?
Even if it meant losing his freedom...
"Child, things are not as bad as you think," the enigmatic Gamma master turned away, not wanting Felix to see the emotion in his eyes. His voice suddenly deepened, "If one day a dark elf wearing the 'Heart of Canaan' comes to you, grant her one request. If you are strong enough, you may refuse, but do not harm her..."
A dark elf?!
Felix's head shot up and then dropped again, fearful of letting the mysterious Gamma master see the fervor in his eyes. A dark elf acknowledged by this mysterious Gamma master would at least be a legendary figure!
Before entering the Imperial City, Felix had coincidentally met a legendary dark elf, that mysterious woman who dared to don the 'Robe of Misfortune.' Felix accepted her gifts and gained her friendship, and they even reached a secret agreement unknown to others!
A terrifying intuition told Felix there must be a connection between the two!
The mysterious Gamma master seemed to fall into reminiscence, and they both lapsed into a silent silence, with only the howling evening wind over the high tower sending a shiver through Felix.
"Teacher, may I know your name?" After much hesitation, Felix decided to address the enigmatic Gamma Master as 'Teacher' and tried to ask for his name.
"The Forgotten have no names," the enigmatic Gamma Master seemed to awake from his memories, not turning around, he replied with a raspy voice like the grating of metal, "If you wish, you can call me —— the Nameless Swordsmith."
"Swordsmith?" Felix was puzzled.
The Gamma Master looked up at the endless night sky and said lightly, "What you hold in your hand is a sword."
Felix gazed at the over two-meter-long silvery staff in his hands and chose to remain silent, silence, and more silence...
The mysterious Gamma Master completed his handover ceremony, branding his own unique magic runes onto the legendary space ring, the Blue Crystal. As the inheritor of his legacy, Felix could use this ring to unlock all the enchantments within the magic tower and activate all its defense spells.
Perhaps touched by Felix's address of 'Teacher,' the mysterious Gamma Master instructed the quiet succubus attending to them to give Felix a tour of the entire magic tower, explaining the function of each area in detail.
As he left the observatory, Felix glanced at the succubus, whose beauty could topple empires, and felt a sudden impulse. Turning this impulse into action, he faced the mysterious Gamma Master and asked, "Inheriting all your legacies in this plane, does that include her as well?"
Felix pointed to the succubus, who initially looked shocked but then smiled coquettishly.
The Gamma Master glanced at the seductive succubus with a gaze as cold as if he were looking at an inanimate object. He nodded and said in a deep, husky voice:
"She is a failed experiment. I once attempted to crossbreed a pure-blooded angel with a demon to create a new golden species. Unfortunately, even avoiding the conflict of opposing energies and using dark magic to extract the angel's viable sperm directly into her body did not result in pregnancy."
"The fundamental conflict between the energies of holy light and dark matter could not create a space to nurture life. Apart from gaining extra flesh on her breasts and buttocks, the experiment had no significant changes. If possible, I hope you will continue this research topic."
The mysterious Gamma Master spoke with a voice that was meant to shock the conventional, his cold eyes full of regret and wistfulness as he watched the 'failed experiment.'
At that moment, Felix felt himself to be exceptionally kind and pure.
