Chapter 64: The Angel Sister's Counterattack!
As the two entered, the woman was sitting by the window reading a book. She was dressed in a light blue silk nightgown, and her beautiful, deep blue hair, reminiscent of seaweed, cascaded onto the desk. Coupled with the hazy sleepiness of just waking up, she exuded an indolent and enchantingly soft beauty.
Felix's gaze followed the waterfall of deep blue hair, and he immediately noticed something unusual. This mysterious woman, akin to a mermaid, seemed to share the Angel Sister's aversion to typical feminine garments, as Felix caught sight of a snowy, full rise and the faint hint of pink above.
Comparing her in his mind, Felix thought her to be more refined and slightly smaller than the Angel Sister. Of course, the Angel Sister, a tall beauty standing two meters high, made it reasonable for this beauty to be smaller and more delicate. Felix thought so to himself.
The languid woman seemed to realize her exposure and blushed uncontrollably, gently picking up a grey cloak from the coat hanger and draping it over herself.
The Angel Sister's gaze, following the flow of the deep blue hair to the chest, brightened upon realizing they shared the same preference. Her pale blue eyes sparkled as she muttered, "Just as I thought! Even after reincarnation, some habits don't change."
Felix, hearing this, had an epiphany!
Since the Angel Sister had accessed the memories of a transmigrator named 'Lisa,' it was natural she'd inherit some of Lisa's bad habits!
Felix stared at the woman, suspected to be the legendary Princess Helen, with an odd, eerie look, finally understanding the origins of the Angel Sister's habits.
Without a doubt, it was this woman! Even after reincarnation, such habits remained deeply ingrained!
The woman, unsettled by Felix's piercing stare, couldn't quite describe her feelings, finding it all very strange.
Disliking the sensation of her quickening heartbeat, she stood up, placed her book down, turned to gaze out the window at the small town under a drizzle, and said indifferently with her back to Felix, "I'm glad you heeded my advice."
"Advice?" The Angel Sister smirked. If that was considered advice, then there'd be no threats left in the world. She still vividly remembered how her heart had 'thumped' wildly when startled by the abrupt advice, skipping joyously.
The woman turned back, glanced at the slightly displeased Angel Sister, hesitated, and continued, "Though I'm sure I've never met you, there's something familiar about you. A very special feeling.
"On my way here, I encountered assassins with ill intentions, so my mood was quite foul yesterday.
"I bear you no hostility; I believe my bad mood yesterday may have led to some misunderstandings."
"Someone tried to assassinate you?" The Angel Sister probably didn't hear the rest, already convinced of the woman's identity. On hearing of the assassination attempt, she reacted with righteous indignation, as if ready to roll up her sleeves and fight.
"Just a bunch of clowns," the woman said, taken aback by the Angel Sister's fiery expression. She cast a peculiar glance at Felix and continued, "Angels shouldn't remain in the human world. It's a matter of order, of law."
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
"Aren't laws meant to be broken?" The Angel Sister pinched Felix's handsome, androgynous face, nonchalantly saying, "I'll never hesitate to instill in Felix these transmigrator-specific anarchic beliefs whenever I get the chance!"
The woman was startled by the Angel Sister's words. Clearly, in her eyes, a sacred being like an angel shouldn't have such a rogue-like demeanor.
She was evidently not used to the occasional fidgeting of Felix and the Angel Sister's unconventional thinking. In fact, she hadn't been as surprised in a whole month as she was in these few minutes.
She deeply disliked this feeling of not being in control. After pondering her words, she continued, "The concentration of heavenly elements in Heaven is six times that of the primary material plane. That means, after descending to the primary material plane, your strength will be only a sixth of your original power.
"Even if you were a mighty Wisdom Angel in heaven, the energy drawn by the elemental backlash upon descent would weaken you to the point of becoming legendary."
The woman pulled out a sheet of paper, listing a set of data that made the Angel Sister dizzy. Felix, on the other hand, watched intently, finding it intriguing.
Clearly, this mysterious woman and Felix thought alike, accustomed to pondering problems through details and data. Such people are frightening because they can suppress emotional fluctuations better than others.
"You, a living angel, represent something to those spellcasters who can't travel between planes. I think you understand this better than I do."
The woman locked eyes with the Angel Sister, not breaking the gaze until she saw a hint of fear. Satisfied, she nodded, saying:
"On this continent, there are over three hundred creatures that could threaten your existence, and among these, at least sixty are humanoid. To any form of humanoid, a living angel is a moving treasure, and they will spare no expense to possess you, once they know of your existence!"
"Including me," the woman expressed her thoughts directly. "Moreover, you're so beautiful. Whether as a captive of desire or a delicate doll, I believe no one could resist."
The mysterious woman, looking down at the Angel Sister, who was now showing signs of fear, found a strange satisfaction and excitement in mentally tormenting her enemy. After a pause, she added, "Even if you can escape, can return, he can't!"
Pointing at the shocked Felix, she continued, "Any legendary spellcaster proficient in soul magic can easily kill him! Using the contract brand deep within his soul, you, passively 'Forced to Descend,' will have nowhere to run!"
The perfect kill, complete suppression - the woman could even imagine the fear in the Angel Sister's eyes.
Mentally tormenting her enemies was her habit, her hobby. On this point, Felix was different. He preferred to physically torment his enemies, especially those like her...
But soon, her satisfaction faded as the Angel Sister said nonchalantly, "If I return to heaven, doesn't that make all of this moot?"
The feeling of a punch landing on cotton - although her objective was achieved, the lack of resistance took away the thrill. The woman disliked this. She enjoyed resistance, the more fierce the better. It was like defiling a woman; the more virtuous the woman, the greater the sense of achievement when conquered!
"Felix, step out for a moment," the Angel Sister said gently, patting Felix's head with a motherly affection. Seeing the Angel Sister's rare tender expression and the sly twinkle in her pale blue eyes, Felix was certain that this seemingly innocent woman was up to no good!
The last time the Angel Sister, with her countless bad habits, showed such an expression, she had threatened to slice Felix's...
After Felix left the room, the Angel Sister batted her sparkling, innocent eyes at the puzzled woman and said coyly, "I could return to heaven as you wish, but first, let me have a look at your cute bottom."
"Bottom?" The woman, initially stunned, instinctively covered her ample behind as if the sweet-voiced angel before her was more of a lecherous old man.
"Of course. You don't have to do it," the Angel Sister finally dropped her innocent facade, her smile turning mischievous. A faintly greenish-white flame danced in her palm, devilish in appearance, as she spoke in a sugary tone:
"With my current strength, I might not be able to beat you. But if I put my all into it, destroying this inn and burning your clothes would be a piece of cake."
The Angel Sister's smile was that of a victor, proud and triumphant: "Make a choice. Show just me, or show everyone..."
Threats, huh? Well, I can play that game too!
In saying these words, the Angel Sister felt an immense sense of satisfaction.
