Chapter 61: The Princess?

"Who is she?!"

The shock in Felix's heart was no longer concealable; his delicate yet handsome face was visibly moved.

"Is it a return, or an exile?" Alright, Felix had to admit, that statement was pretty badass—more so than most men, especially when directed at a high-ranking angel. Threatening an angel? Or maybe it wasn't a threat at all, but the casual demeanor even made Felix feel like she was discussing something trivial!

But what astonished Felix even more was the usually unruly angelic sister's rare choice of silence. Through Angela's pale blue eyes, Felix saw confusion, consideration, and fear—a fear of the dark red card!

The mysterious woman, led by the panicked innkeeper, walked upstairs to a specially prepared private room, followed respectfully by a middle-aged knight reeking of blood. As she reached the sixth step of the corridor, the woman turned back, smiled remotely at the puzzled Felix, and said softly with narrowed elegant eyebrows, "Thank you for the fine wine. I've missed this taste for ten years."

The angelic sister sitting next to Felix frowned slightly, looked up at the mysterious woman, then bowed her head as if trying hard to think. It seemed what truly perplexed her wasn't the dark red card, but something else.

"I feel like I've seen you..." Angela's voice hesitated; she stood up, staring at the mysterious woman who paused, and slowly said, "I feel like I've seen you, but I can't remember who you are."

"I've never seen you." The woman turned back with a resolute reply, her bright lips curling slightly, saying lightly, "My kin wait for me in hell. My place is there, not in heaven."

"Should I take that as a kind joke?"

The woman looked down at Angela, at this unique 'Guidance of the Sacred Light' in Heaven—Angela Lucifer!

Infallible! Like an invincible goddess!

Felix felt an overwhelming sense of powerlessness, not unlike when Lady Elizabeth had her commanding outburst. The woman before him was like a phoenix soaring above the clouds, always to be looked up to, never subdued.

Just as the woman was about to turn and leave, Felix did something he himself was surprised by and regretted for half his life!

He picked up the crystal glass the mysterious woman had put down, pressed his lips where she left her mark, and after drinking the remaining wine with a satisfied sigh, he raised an eyebrow, gazing at the dimly lit, seductive woman, with a teasing note, "The wine is sweet, but the company is sweeter."

A blush spread uncontrollably over the woman's charming face, not out of shyness but perhaps a natural reaction. Yet, it was this blush that cracked the perfect image she had built, and in Felix's eyes, she was no longer the proud goddess looking down on all, but simply a woman, a woman capable of shyness.

Such a woman could be conquered!

Perhaps it was Felix's soft yet striking features that earned him some grace, for the mysterious woman was not angered by his act. Instead, she smiled a strange smile, slowly saying, "You will regret this action today, I swear."

Then the woman turned and walked upstairs without looking back, only the knight following her casting a cold gaze at Felix, filled with a hint of murderous intent.

Intuition told Felix that this knight had killed many people, many, many people...

In a corner unseen by others, the woman's hands tightened under her gray robe, rubbing together lightly. Accustomed to perfection and being looked up to, she experienced, for the first time, teasing by a man—a small fellow whose height barely reached her chin!

It was a strange mix of feelings for her: annoyance, shyness, unease after her ambiance was effortlessly disrupted, and an inexplicably rapid heartbeat...

After the mysterious woman retreated to her room, Felix didn't waste a word and hurried back to their room with the angelic sister.

The hall of 【Jasmine’s Fragrance】 fell into an eerie silence once, but as soon as they left, it quickly returned to its usual bustle. The merchants and adventurers who were always on the move knew all too well: the less you know, the longer you live, especially when it comes to secrets—big secrets.

...

"This woman is no simple matter."

That was Felix's first comment after returning to the room.

"No kidding," the angelic sister retorted with a frown, spitting out two words. "I'm sure I've seen her before! I just can't remember when!"

The angelic sister, appearing somewhat agitated, tousled her beautiful golden locks and then furiously hugged Felix, choking him, shaking him wildly as if she were a frantic young girl: "Why can't I remember who she is? Little guy! Why can't you tell me who she is?"

"Cough, let go, let—let go..."

Caught off guard and ambushed, Felix immediately struggled to breathe as the angelic sister often went crazy, playing rough without holding back. To prevent any accidents, Felix didn't hold back either.

He reached out and grabbed two balls of boobs, and quickly looked for the two raised points on the boobs.

Gripping firmly! His fingers perfectly captured those two points and executed a merciless 365-degree twist!

Then came the angelic sister's near hysterical scream.

Enraged, she pushed Felix down onto the soft, fluffy bed, determined to strip him bare and pinch back.

"Slap!"

Felix's expression became rare in its seriousness as he slapped the full, round backside of the angelic sister who had pounced on him, and then he said:

"Listen to me for a second. If you've never made a pact with anyone, the only people you've seen are angels or souls returned to Heaven’s Gate after death. But she said she's never seen you, and by her look, she doesn't seem to be lying.

"So, I can almost be certain, if you've really seen that woman, it must be her soul! That is, her past life!" Felix grabbed Angela's hands to keep her from continuing her frenzy, paused for a moment, and then continued, "What now? Are you really returning to Heaven?"

Felix was almost sure that the mysterious woman's attendant, the middle-aged knight with a heavy murderous aura, had already stepped into the Golden Dominion. Plus, with the unknown dark red card in the mysterious woman's hand, Felix couldn't even begin to calculate the odds of winning if they were to fight.

The angelic sister, who had been wriggling on top of Felix, suddenly calmed down. She bowed her head, and her long golden hair tickled Felix's ear, an odd and ticklish sensation.

"It's her! It must be her!" The angelic sister suddenly propped herself up, hands on Felix's chest with a look of surprise and an invisible joy, a very strange expression! She suddenly hugged Felix tightly, planting a firm kiss on his face, exclaiming with glee, "It must be her!"

"Who?" Felix was puzzled, as the angelic sister's sudden jubilation surprised him, especially the way the two "big white rabbits" bounced before his eyes, making him slightly dizzy.

"Eh? That's not right. I clearly remember choosing her next life as a royal princess when I sent her through Heaven’s Gate. But from her appearance? She doesn't look like a princess, does she?" The angelic sister hugged Felix again, whispering in his ear: "Is there a princess in distress in the empire?"

"A princess? A princess in distress?"

Felix was startled, and then a legendary name occurred to him!

In that instant, he felt a chilling illusion...
