CHAPTER 830 THE COMPLICATED EXPERIMENT
Even though Rocky finally found a way to raise the red egg using the blood essence of different spirit-
manipulated beasts, he also found out a problem. That was, the red egg could only absorb a kind of
blood essence once. Once he saw that the red egg absorbed his blood essence and no longer touched
the remaining drops, it wasn't difficult for Rocky to reach that conclusion.
From then on, he'd have to collect the blood essence of different spirit manipulators or spirit-
manipulated beasts for the red egg. How much needed to be collected and what he'd do after the egg
got bigger were all questions to be answered on another day. As the egg became bigger and bigger,
the higher the level of the blood essence it would need. It was a predictable outcome, so Rocky had to
ensure that the blood essence he collected wasn't ordinary, but was also not too strong. He needed to
refine the specific process to ascertain that the egg would absorb the blood essence correctly. If he did
everything correctly, he could breed the egg as a spirit-manipulated beast, so he had to pay attention to
its changes after it absorbed different types of blood essence. He might have to find rare spiritual
beasts, even especially rare ones like the beasts that were said to only appear in the forbidden area of
the Black Sand Abyss, to feed the egg.
It was definitely not going to be a walk in the park; the entire process was a lot to handle.
"Looks like there're lots of things I have to do." Rocky could only sigh as he looked despondently at the
egg in front of him. There was little to nothing that he wouldn't do to make Uriah come back to life one
day.
After a few silent moments, Rocky moved the egg to a wooden room that he used as a warehouse
before. He knew that a spirit-manipulated beast needed a decent environment to grow up well and the
egg was already showing the special vital signs of being a spirit-manipulated beast. A different
environment might be more suitable for the egg's growth. Another important reason was that it would
quickly grow bigger after it absorbed blood essence, so it was more convenient to put it in a spacious
place in the first place.
Once he got the egg settled into the wooden room, Rocky headed back to the laboratory to complete
the rest of his work.
It was so late at night that it was closer to the morning when he finally finished studying all the samples
of the spirit-manipulated beasts he collected. Once he figured out the genome sequencing of the last
group of spirit-manipulated beasts, it greatly helped him achieve his primary goal.
Based on that, he inferred the genome sequencing of all spirit-manipulated beasts, which he labelled
as the original genome. As long as he accomplished the original gene assessment, he'd be able to
perform gene research on spirit-manipulated beasts in accordance with his plans.
The original genome was the key to a great revolution throughout the entirety of the Wild Spirit Land
and would change everything people knew about spirit-manipulated beasts.
Not long after, all the spirit-manipulated beasts in the world, even rare beasts and other creatures, were
all about to undergo an unprecedented evolution.
Even without the help of modern equipment, Rocky was still a great genetic scientist from the modern
world and his brain alone was like an advanced computer. It was a simple thing for Rocky to extract the
original genome from hundreds of the spirit-manipulated beast samples. Unfortunately, it wasn't a
hundred percent accurate, so as he was calculating the original genome, he also used a suitable spirit- owns this text.
manipulated beast to test his calculations.
The optimal subject for this gene experiment was a young beast that wouldn't undergo any
transformation before they reached adulthood. Coincidentally, Rocky had underage Dark Heaven
Insects and Robin who fit the criteria.
Normally, if he didn't want to take a risk, he'd carry out the experiment on a Dark Heaven Insect
because it would be safer. Even if he failed, he still had other insects available for more experiments.
However, in order to guarantee the complete accuracy of the original genome, Rocky decided to carry
out the experiments on Robin. Since Robin was a semi-spiritual beast, it inherited the excellent
bloodline of both spiritual beast and war beast, and its gene was more comprehensive than that of any
spiritual or war beast. Therefore, any gene mutation resulting from the experiment would be obvious on
Robin and would let Rocky avoid unnecessary detours.
Any experiment like this was always a risk, just like the experiments he conducted on Rubygon's brain
nerves. Of course, compared with the experiments on Rubygon's body, this one was more
unpredictable and it was impossible to predict the final result.
There was also no way that Rocky would conduct the experiment without full preparation and
unnecessarily risk Robin's life. Despite having the chance to go back with its mother, Robin chose him.
That was why his love for Robin was no less than what he felt for Uriah, Rubygon, or the Rainbow
Glow Unicorn. He wouldn't allow Robin to get hurt in any way, so he came up with a different method
for Robin's experiment. If the experiment was successful, he might be able to perfectly fulfill his
calculation of the original genome; if it failed, it wouldn't cause any damage to Robin.
But the method could only be used once and if he failed, he'd have to wait for quite some time before
he could experiment again. Whatever time he would lose was just a small price to pay to ensure
Robin's safety.
After a whole night, Rocky finally finished calculating the spiral sequence of the original genome that
was to be verified.
Once done computing, he drew it out on paper and then drew Robin's genome below it.
Even though his hands were shaking from his tiredness, he was still excited about carrying out the next
step, the important experiment on Robin.
Rocky pulled out the box that he obtained in the Myriad Spirit Tomb that contained all three items. From
the box, he took out the magic pill that contained the same aura as that of the spiritual crystal.
