With Rocky out of the way, the timber spirit manipulator showed his contempt for Rocky's foolishness,

whom he had cheated with his false words. He sneered loudly, "People from the Roaring Flame Empire

are stupid! He believed what I said blindly and did not question me even once! No wonder they lost the

tributes. What a bunch of hopeless idiots they are!" Muttering curses, the timber spirit manipulator

could not prevent himself from getting closer to the insect that Rocky had already subdued. He could

"It is a pity that I will kill it immediately, but that is better than handing it over with the eggs that are in its

belly," the timber spirit manipulator whispered, blinded by his greed. He had decided to kill the creature

because if he were to catch the Dark Heaven Insect alive this time, then he would be compelled to turn

it over, including those precious eggs, to the authorities. Therefore, when he compared giving over

those things that were crucial for cultivation to killing it, the latter choice made sense to him. That was

because, by doing that, he would be able to increase his power in the future. Once he had made up his

mind, he did not want to waste any time in killing it, because he knew that even the slightest delay

could cause things to go out of control. Were that to happen, then everything he had done, all the

However, were he to find out that the dying insect was a queen, an extremely rare and invaluable

creature, the facial contortions that his frustration and anger would cause, would offer a priceless

picture for everyone to see! His rabid expression would be one of a kind!

Unfortunately, as the Centipede-snake's poison was still in effect, this insect was paralyzed. It hardly

had the strength to attack the manipulator. All it could do was watch him as he got closer, and hiss

threateningly at him. It seemed to know what its fate was - that it would be slaughtered, but it could only

roar helplessly, as nothing and no one could save it.

Just as the timber spirit manipulator raised his hand to kill the creature, an arrow that was traveling at

great speed, and had immense spiritual power, hurtled toward him.

Although, he saw the fast-moving arrow, and tried to evade it, he could not do so completely, as it was

travelling so fast. Therefore, it bruised his right arm, as it brushed past him. Soon, he could not feel any

sensation in it, so he understood that he had been paralyzed.

After the 'whoosh' sound it made, the arrow directly hit a tree's thick trunk that was behind the timber

spirit manipulator, and its white goose feathers shook gently. Interestingly, this arrow was exactly like

the one on the insect's hind leg.

"Who has done this?" the timber spirit manipulator shouted, aggressively, and was upset to see that a

certain poison had been smeared on it. Also, he could feel no sensation because of the bruise on his

arm and the blood circulation.

"It's me!" The timber spirit manipulator heard a calm voice, and saw a man slowly appear in front him.

"You!!!?" The timber spirit manipulator was so shocked that his eye balls almost fell out of their sockets.

It was none other than the man he had fooled into going away from the scene. 'How did he come

Calmly, Rocky stood in front of the spirit manipulator.

"Did you really think that I would let you take it away from me?" Rocky gave a grim smile. Nevertheless,

he did not give his opponent even the slightest clue that the insect was a queen and not an ordinary

worker. He was smart enough not to share that secret with anyone.

"You Bastard! I could kill you right now! You are so weak, and I can even kill you with one hand. It

would be like brushing the dust off my sleeve. But killing you is meaningless." The timber spirit

manipulator stared at Rocky, who obviously disdained him, and got even angrier. In his opinion, Rocky

had merely played a trick by attacking him with that poisonous arrow. But considering his real strength,

the spirit manipulator was not scared.

"Hmmm, you only reached the first grade of Heavenly Stage. And now, you have injured one of your

arms, which may impact your strength. So, I think it should be easy for me to defeat you." Rocky

analyzed calmly, like a smart businessman. Even though, he knew that hurting an arm would not

influence the Heavenly Stage's power, too much. However, what Rocky did not know was that timber

spirit manipulators needed to use their arms more than other manipulators did. Therefore, being unable

to use an arm would definitely be a tremendous disadvantage.

Pretending to leave after his conversation with the timber spirit manipulator, Rocky had drunk two drops

of magical saliva to regain as much as he could of his spiritual power. However, since he realized that

the timber spirit manipulator was planning to kill this insect, he had to reveal himself. Even though

Rocky knew that even if he gathered all his strength and powers, he would not be able to defeat the

Heavenly Staged manipulator. Moreover, he was weaker by seventy-percent.

But as that was his only chance, he needed to kill the man in front of him, no matter what it took.

At that moment, Uriah and Little Rubygon also appeared on either side of the timber spirit manipulator,

and started threatening him. Since they had taken the magical saliva earlier, they had recovered half of

their strength, already.

"These two spirit manipulated beasts are yours?" The timber spirit manipulator was shocked when he

first saw Rocky's two beasts, but he was more surprised, when he realized that those two could move

and attack, simultaneously.

"Problems?" Rocky asked, and crossed his hands in front of his chest, in his usual manner.

"But, that is impossible! I have never heard of any spirit manipulator, who can control two beasts at the

same time. This is not possible. Do you have someone with you?" The timber spirit manipulator could

not believe what he saw, and looked around, alarmed and surprised.

"Clever! Yes, my man is hiding nearby, waiting to take the first opportunity to attack you. Be careful, you

will either get hurt, or die," Rocky threatened.

"Hum, I hope you guys can still save yourselves. I, hereby, summon you - Jumbo Horned Beetle!"

Saying those words, the timber spirit manipulator smiled cunningly. Then, shouting aloud, he raised his

arm heavenward and released the spiritual power, which sundered the sky, and a spirit-manipulated

beast emerged. It was as huge as an elephant with three curved tusks that emitted a foul smell, and

which only those who had already reached the Heavenly Stage, could open. Many regarded it as an

independent platform, which was usually used to keep spirit-manipulated beasts. But it could also be

damage to the outside world.
