Chapter 811 Staging A Farce

CHAPTER 811 STAGING A FARCE

Since Queenie was a beautiful girl, she turned into a handsome young man when she dressed up in

men's clothes. As soon as she entered the hall, many people's eyes turned to look and female

receptionists caked in heavy make-up hurriedly ran up to her.

"You're so handsome. Is there anything I can do for you? Just say the word and I'll do it!"

"Back off! He's my client. I saw him first!"

"Oh, please. He's mine!"

Each one of them bickered against one another, pushing and shoving just to get Queenie's attention.

"Leave me alone! Get your hands off me!" Queenie's face could have been chiseled from ice as she

snapped at them.

Their mouths quickly snapped shut once they saw their potential client get irritated.

"I'm not here to avail anyone's services, I'm just looking for someone. The person who can point me to

his direction would get this one thousand golden bill." Queenie took out a golden bill and waved it at

them.

A light entered all the women's eyes at the sight of the golden bill.

As the saying goes, if you have money, even the devil will push the millstone for you. In just a few short

moments, Queenie learned that Rocky was in a VIP room.

Even though everyone's impression of Rocky was that he was poor, here he was seated in one of their

best rooms that only allowed VIPs in. By then, Queenie decided that her guess must be right that there

really was something off with Rocky. She further believed that this was an incredible discovery.

There was adrenaline pumping through her veins so she couldn't hold herself back, much less could

she give any consideration for her own status. She rushed to Rocky's room without any hesitation,

ready to find all of Rocky's ins and outs, just like in order to catch a thief, you must find the stolen

goods first.

Meanwhile in the VIP room, Rocky sat across Rector and the tea had just been served. Rector chatted

with him casually and often asked a few questions to get to know him better, like where he came from holds © this.

and what he was up to. No matter how much he pushed, Rocky only sipped at his tea and kept his

answers short.

As their meeting dragged on, Rector's smile was becoming more and more strained until it morphed

into shock when they were suddenly interrupted by the door slamming open. Queenie burst into the

room like a typhoon who jabbed a finger right in Rocky's nose and shouted, "You really are a spy! I

finally caught you. You're a spy sent by the Qi Clan to our clan! Humph! Now that I caught you, let's see

what you have to say."

Rocky was so stunned that he could only stare in bewilderment for a moment before he squinted and

quickly realized that it was Queenie in men's clothes. "What are you talking about? Can you give me

the details?"

"Don't play dumb with me! This is Qi Clan's property! Don't tell me you don't know!" Queenie was

confident that she caught Rocky red-handed in being a spy from the Qi Clan.

However, Rocky didn't expect that this Spirit Treasure Hall was run by the Qi Clan, the deadly enemy of

Queenie's Cao Clan. He was at such a loss whether he should cry or laugh.

On the other hand, Rector watched Queenie rush in and declare herself from the Cao Clan. While he

immediately guessed that she might be a member of the Cao Clan, it surprised him that she obviously

knew Rocky. He decided that this was a trick and they came to this place to cause trouble together.

"Security!" Rector demanded as the situation began to escalate.

It wasn't long before several spirit manipulators of the Earthly Stage rushed in, each one radiating

arrogance.

By then, Rocky had resigned himself to just enjoy the ride he was unknowingly dragged into. Queenie

really was a troublemaker and nothing good ever happened to him whenever he bumped into her.

"Take them both! They're from the Cao Clan!" Rector immediately barked out his order, pointing at both

Rocky and Queenie.

"Rector, hold on. I believe that you misunderstood. I'm not from the Cao-" Even as Rocky hurriedly

jumped out of his seat to explain, several heartrending cries interrupted him. When he turned to look,

his eyes were greeted by the sight of all the spirit manipulators on the ground that Queenie beat into

the dust without bothering to spare them a single word.

Rector's face turned blue when he witnessed Queenie's skill.

However, Rector pushed down his panic as more spirit manipulators quickly rushed into the room and

all of them wore the striking clothes of the Qi Clan. They flooded the room and the area around it in

thick swarms.

"Is that all of them?" Queenie sneered. All of them were as weak as ants before her and she was

annoyed at having to fight them at all.

A headache made itself known as Rocky's temple throbbed and he could only sigh. If he let Queenie

continue her rampage, their problem would just get bigger and bigger. Just as when he was wondering

how he would drag her out, a stern voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Who dared to cause trouble in Qi Clan's property? Do they want to die?" A gap appeared through the

crowd surrounding the door as they all quickly stepped aside.

A man in his early thirties leisurely entered, his imposing aura and proud appearance were a perfect fit

with his dark robes threaded with gold. Even though he was still a few meters away, Rocky could

immediately sense the aura of the Supernal Stage from him.

Behind the man were several spirit manipulators of the Heavenly Stage, all of them looked like

bodyguards.

"Young master..." Rector called. His eyes lit up as if he finally found the light at the end of a dark tunnel.

This man was the eldest and only son of the current chief and the future inheritor of the Qi Clan, Tate

Qi.

Even Queenie's expression changed as soon as she caught sight of Tate.

"Isn't that Queenie? Why are you suddenly dressed like a man?" Tate called Queenie by her name

once he actually saw the people inside. It was clear that this wasn't the first time they met and that they

were rather close.

"Shut it! Don't call me that!" Queenie snapped but didn't meet his eyes.

"I've called you that ever since you were a child. I'm used to it." Tate's smile remained pleasant

regardless of her attitude.

So far, all Rocky learned was that they saw each other when they were young and used to play

together. But what he didn't understand was why. As far as he knew, the Cao Clan and the Qi Clan

were rivals and constantly fought each other with weapons. However, Tate didn't show an ounce of

annoyance when he saw Queenie in their property. It was odd and some things obviously didn't add up.

Rocky decided to step aside and see what would happen next.

"You have no right to call me like that." Queenie's dark frown was the opposite of Tate's kind smile.

"You're right. I don't. I'm not your future brother-in-law anymore." Tate sighed.

Even within the chattering crowd, the sound of Queenie furiously gnashing her teeth could still be

heard.

"Future brother-in-law?" Rocky repeated to himself. It looked that the relationship between the two

clans wasn't as simple as he thought.

"I haven't seen you in years. You're starting to look like your elder sister more and more. How is she? I

wish her all the best." A tender expression softened Tate's proud appearance.

"It's none of your business..." Queenie finally turned to look at him, shooting him daggers with her

resentful glare. In one quick move, she turned over her jade-like palm and a strong ice force shot out,

rushing towards Tate.

Tate's expression didn't waver as he raised his right hand and shot out a strong flame, letting it swallow

the ice in an instant.

"Queenie! I don't get into fights without a reason. Don't try to attack me without saying a word! Even if

you are obstinate, there should be a limit..." Tate scolded with the same pleasant smile but his words

rang out powerfully.

"How dare you ask me why? Don't try to cover up! I caught a spy from your clan red-handed!" Queenie

spat and jabbed at Rocky, filled with righteous indignation.

Tate glanced at Rocky but he was certain that he'd never seen him in his life before. More than that, he

hadn't sent any of his men to the Cao Clan. He was completely bewildered at the accusation.

Rocky could only shake his head and bitterly smile. 'When will this girl get smarter? She has no

evidence of me being a spy of the Qi Clan. This is undoubtedly just staging a farce in Tate's eyes, ' he

thought.
