CHAPTER 494 A MAN OF MYSTERY
"Why is there an inscription of General Marcia's Snowflake Mark on this Spiritual Weapon?" Marin
wondered while holding the Frozen Wind Dagger in her hand. At the back of her head, she knew the
answer to her question, but she was still in disbelief. It was obvious that the Frozen Wind Dagger
belonged to Marcia. Otherwise, it couldn't have Snowflake Mark. Besides, Frozen Wind Dagger was a
very special Spiritual Weapon, which was extremely rare. The Frozen Wind Dagger with the Snowflake
Mark on it meant that it was Marcia's favorite.
An even bigger question for Marin then was what Rocky had been doing with the weapon. In the first
place, how did he even acquire it? Marcia should have been carefully protecting such a precious
weapon. It would have been impossible for Rocky to get a hold of the weapon. Unless Marcia willingly
gifted the dagger to Rocky. But why would Marcia even do that?
"Does it have anything to do with his secret identity?" Marin's hand scratched her chin. Marin thought holds text © rights.
there was something more to the story. Sabina had been tasked to protect Rocky. Perhaps he had a
special relationship with Marcia. And so Marcia sent Sabina to protect Rocky.
Sabina was Marcia's apprentice. If she sent her apprentice to protect Rocky, he must have been
special to her.
Marin's mind was in places. She felt like she barely knew who Rocky was. He had too many secrets.
Much more, she could not comprehend what Marcia, one of the Three Great Generals from Holy
Dragon Empire, had to do with him. The Commander in Chief used to speculate that Rocky was a
member of the royal family. It was never proven, but with all the recent development, this could actually
be true.
Marin's thoughts were disturbed by a figure that appeared beside her. It was Sabina, and she was
eyeing the Frozen Wind Dagger in her hand.
"Sabina!" Marin wondered if Sabina knew anything about the truth behind the Frozen Wind Dagger.
"Let's move somewhere else," Sabina whispered, her eyes glancing at Rocky. He was seated on a
stone just a few steps behind them.
Marin nodded and placed the Frozen Wind Dagger back where she found it.
Together, the two girls disappeared.
On a stone, Rocky was rested. His eyes were only barely open and his lips formed a small smile.
On the other side, Marin and Sabina found an area where peach blossoms bloomed.
"Did General Marcia give Rocky that Spiritual Weapon?" Marin asked as soon as they were in a quiet
place.
Sabina responded with a cold gaze. She had seen the Frozen Wind Dagger and recognized it instantly.
She shared the same thoughts with Marin and she knew they were correct.
"Is it true?" Marin pushed. Fear was evidenced in Marin's eyes. Sabina's silence spoke volumes.
"What's going on between Rocky and General Marcia? Why would she give such a special weapon to
Rocky? What's so special about Rocky?" Marin interrogated.
"Marin, you have too many questions. I don't know. I don't know anything about him. I only know one
thing, which I wish you'd keep a secret. My master sent me to protect Rocky. You may have speculated
so. But this is the first time anyone would be hearing about this from me." Sabina frowned.
"You didn't know either?" Marin expected that Sabina knew. After all, she was close to Rocky and
Marcia.
"My master didn't explain to me why I had to protect Rocky. But given the recent events, I think I'm
starting to understand why. All I know for sure right now is that Rocky is a dangerous person. You
cannot get close to him and, most especially, you cannot fall in love with him. He is not a good person."
Sabina looked serious.
"Love him? Why would you even say that? How could I love him?" Marin said aghast. She found
Sabina's statements to be loaded with meaning.
"Stop lying to yourself. It's obvious that you have fallen in love with him. When the Commander in Chief
threatened to kill Rocky, your eyes looked so fearful. Much fearful than mine. It was obvious to me that
you felt strongly for Rocky. Isis is your cousin. You had all the right to be mad at him, especially if he
really did that kind of thing to her. However, you already assumed that he was innocent and hoped he
wouldn't die. Didn't you?" Sabina's words pierced through Marin.
Marin's instinct was to deny everything that Sabina said. But even she knew everything Sabina said
was true.
"You'd better go back. Keep a distance between you and him. It's what's best for you," Sabina added.
"But," Marin insisted, "I had orders from the Commander in Chief." Marin knew that the sight of Rocky
distracted her.
"Don't worry about him. I'll look after him. Just take care of Isis. When she wakes up, you will know the
truth. Prepare yourself," Sabina advised.
"Do you think Rocky really did that?" Marin asked. Deep down, she knew what Sabina meant.
"All I know is that Isis holds the truth. Right now, the Commander in Chief might be regretting his
decision, just like Rocky predicted. This is a terrible thing for the Crimson Dragon Army. Maybe..."
Suddenly, something occurred to Sabina.
"Maybe what?" Marin's curiosity was piqued.
Sabina shook her head. "Nothing. Please message as soon as Isis wakes up." Sabina wanted to know
the truth as well.
Marin wanted to ask more, but decided against it. She summoned Verdanim and left.
