Chapter 803 Elusive

CHAPTER 803 ELUSIVE

"Master Lucas, Mr. Rookie likes being alone. Could you please arrange two separate rooms for us?"

Juey requested, casting a glance at Rocky.

"Well, that's not a problem. Miss Juey, do you have feelings for Mr. Rookie?" Lucas had observed how

intimate Rocky and Juey were. He even thought they were a couple.

"Master Lucas, you misunderstood. Mr. Rookie treats me like his sister." Juey's cheeks flushed a deep

shade of red.

"Is that so? That's a pity. You two could have made a perfect couple," Lucas remarked with a smile.

Juey felt her face heat up as Rocky stood calmly.

Later that day, Lucas requested two rooms in the remote wing house for Rocky and Juey. A servant led

them to their respective rooms. As soon as they were settled, Lucas asked someone to inform Lucilla

of Rocky's arrival.

Rocky and Juey followed the servant who directed them to their rooms in the Osmanthus Yard, which

was clean and quiet. The smell of osmanthus filled the yard. No one else was there.

"Juey, I have something to deal with later. Will you be alright here alone?" Rocky asked Juey before

they separated into their own rooms.

"This is the Cao mansion. Do you think anyone will hurt me here?" Juey joked with a smile.

Rocky nodded and walked into his room.

A few moments later, Rocky left the mansion. He was planning to ask if Woods was in the royal palace

or another mansion so he could begin his quest to find him. From what he had gathered, Woods had

his own mansion in the capital.

Rocky went to Woods' mansion and snuck in through the back door. When he saw a servant coming

out of the exit, he flashed a smile.

Then, he walked up towards the servant and started intimidating him with questions. Eventually, the

servant gave him what he wanted. He said that Woods had been ordered to go to the flooded cities of

the Timber Deity Empire to help deal with the flood. No one knew when he would return.

'I hope Woods will return before the end of the Beast Master Contest. I don't have time to wait for him, '

Rocky thought to himself. He thanked the servant by giving him a bank note worth a hundred silver

coins.

It was his first time in the capital of the Timber Deity Empire, so he took some time to wander around.

He passed by a tea house and noticed some men idling around. When he overheard what they were

talking about, he stopped.

"Hey, did you hear that? Commander in Chief Rocky of the Crimson Dragon Group, the man who made

the Timber Deity Empire army suffer, is actually Prince Basil of the Holy Dragon Empire." This content belongs to NĂ´/velDra/ma.Org .

"That's old news. Even a three-year-old kid in the Holy Dragon Empire knows about it. Unfortunately,

he died too early."

"My uncle recently went to the Holy Dragon Empire. He told me that the prince's funeral was glorious.

The citizens of the whole Imperial City joined to bid him farewell. Even big shots from the Holy Dragon

Empire were there to share fond memories of him and worship him."

"I heard the prince was conferred the titles Prince Crimson and the Great General. He died a legend.

What a great way to die!"

As the men gossiped, someone appeared in front of them out of nowhere.

And it was none other than Rocky.

"Guys, could you please repeat what you just said? I'd like to hear all about it. The more details, the

better. I'll treat you." Rocky pulled out a bank note worth a thousand silver coins and laid it down on the

table.

The men's eyes widened in shock. They thought he was being insane paying so much money just to

hear gossip. But no one could resist the temptation of money!

So the men quickly told him everything they knew.

Rocky didn't realize that so many things had transpired in the Holy Dragon Empire since his

disappearance. Many interesting rumors rose about him. People thought he was dead and that he died

a legend with his prince's identity exposed.

'I didn't think I'd die, ' Rocky thought with amusement. 'But I guess that makes sense. I have been

missing for far too long. I just didn't realize I'd die with so much glory. I can't believe my father granted

me the titles of the Prince Crimson and the Great General. I wonder what will happen if I go back to the

Holy Dragon Empire now?' Rocky walked out of the tea house with his ego boosted. He knew they'd

make a big fuss if he suddenly returned.

Hearing the news comforted him. He thought his betrayal of the Holy Dragon Empire would put him to

shame, but instead he died with dignity and fame. He didn't have a reason to return hurriedly. He could

just go back after meeting with Woods and making the necessary arrangements. As soon as he was

back, he would definitely become the Prince Crimson. That title would be enough to make him compete

with Alston. That would be the beginning of another war that he needed to prepare for. He just couldn't

let his guard down again. He didn't want another tragedy like Sue's death to happen again.

'Alston, I hope you wait for me. We will meet again soon and I'll make sure you know what it's like to

lose everything.' Rocky gazed at the sky with clenched fist.

When he returned to the Cao mansion, he went straight to the Osmanthus Yard to find Juey. But as

soon he entered the yard, a beautiful lady holding an osmanthus flower stole his attention. She gently

sniffed the flower as she stood.

Rocky looked at her face carefully. He guessed that she was in her late twenties. She stood with poise

and elegance, her body curved in all the right places. She had breasts that perked up and a bottom that

arched her back beautifully. Her manner and poise made it obvious that she was from a noble family.

She had a deep frown on her face, as if in deep thought.

She wasn't the most beautiful lady Rocky had met, yet something about her took his breath away. She

looked gentle, yet strong and proud, like a peony flower.

"Who's there?" Lucilla felt a presence behind her. She turned to look and saw a man in plain clothes

standing by the gate. He looked like an ordinary man. When she looked at his face, she noticed

firmness and sharpness in his eyes. Something about him made him elusive.
