CHAPTER 662 AN EXPERIMENTAL BREAKTHROUGH
"I planned on keeping it a secret," Rocky informed Allen with a faint smile.
"I still don't understand. I know you're using the Magic Dragon Army for your benefit, but you don't have
to give up ten thousand Crimson Dragon Army soldiers. It'll be a waste to order a total of forty thousand
soldiers to attack only the enemy's right wing," Allen protested, still not getting Rocky's point.
"The Timber Deity Empire's right wing is weak compared to the left, thus forcing Alyssa to focus her
attention on it. I suppose she isn't worried at all about the left wing given that it's guarded by fifty
thousand Roaring Flame Empire soldiers. Even if Alyssa only appointed ten thousand soldiers to
defend her right wing, she could still inflict great damage on her enemies. Hence, we must focus our
fire on the left wing guarded by fifty thousand Roaring Flame Empire soldiers. Compared to the right
wing guarded by Alyssa, it'll be much easier to take down," Rocky explained to Allen. His reason for
ordering Buff to use forty thousand soldiers to attack the right wing was to distract Alyssa and draw her
away from the left wing. Through this, Rocky could concentrate on the fifty thousand Roaring Flame
Empire soldiers on the left wing.
"But since you've appointed ten thousand soldiers to the Magic Dragon Army, that'll leave you with only
thirty thousand soldiers or less to fend off the Roaring Flame Empire's fifty thousand soldiers. You don't
expect another miracle like the one that happened in Evian City, do you?" Having witnessed the battle
in Evian City, Allen believed in Rocky's ability. However, he wasn't sure why Rocky was so confident
that he was able to defeat the enemy who outnumbered them.
"The victory at Evian City was less of a miracle and more of luck. If your reinforcements hadn't arrived
in time, we certainly would've lost." Rocky, in fact, didn't believe in miracles. He believed that nothing
was impossible, provided you had the confidence to do it.
"I'm curious about your plan," Allen admitted, wondering what Rocky intended to do next.
"After agreeing to be allies, the Roaring Flame Empire sent a large army to support the Timber Deity
Empire. The truth is, the former doesn't have high morale and is likely to get cold feet. After all, this
battle doesn't benefit them in any way even if the Timber Deity Empire wins. So even if the Roaring
Flame Empire outnumbers us, their mentality is their greatest weakness—a weakness you can use to
deal with fifty thousand or even one hundred thousand enemies," Rocky concluded.
"Fair enough. That makes sense. However, the Crimson Dragon Army's major problem at present is
the lack of food and weapons. This battle will be a long one. Although we've only been fighting for ten
days, the Crimson Dragon Army is already running low on food and weapons..." Allen mentioned with a
frown.
"Don't worry. I've got a solution." Rocky had it all figured out. He'd already made progress on his
experiments on the spirit-manipulated beasts' brain lobes. With more time and more experiments, he'd This material belongs to .
be able to get the desired result. If the experiment went well, the low supply of food and weapons
would no longer be a problem.
"I'd also like to know more information about the Roaring Flame Empire's overall military capability,
their Commander in Chief, and spirit manipulators. The more detailed, the better. Thank you," Rocky
requested while glancing at Allen.
"No problem. I'll send the Elite Regiment on a reconnaissance mission right away," Allen assured him
before turning around to leave.
Shortly after, Rocky left the Commander in Chief's camp and found a secluded place outside the camp.
Just as he was about to enter the Magic Spiritual Space, a slim figure appeared out of thin air beside
him.
"Didn't I tell you not to follow me secretly anymore?" Rocky addressed the figure, knowing it was
Sabina even without a glance.
"You're Isis' husband now, remember? If we're seen together in public, there'll be gossip. It's better this
way. Oh, I nearly forgot. Here's your precious spiritual beast back," she said as she opened the Magic
Spiritual Space. From it emerged a beast glittering in the colors of the rainbow which rushed towards
Rocky.
"Foodie? I've been searching for you everywhere..." Rocky crouched down and patted the Rainbow
Glow Unicorn's head affectionately. "How did you find it?" He looked up and asked Sabina.
Sabina began to explain to him.
"Apparently, something frightened the Rainbow Glow Unicorn during the battle at the desolate village.
That's why it disappeared," Rocky guessed.
"All right then. If there's nothing else, I'll get going," Sabina informed him with a glance. However,
Rocky knew she wouldn't be too far away from him.
"Wait! When can you help me with the seal?" Rocky remembered and asked quickly.
"Anytime," Sabina replied before disappearing.
Shortly after, Rocky summoned Uriah, Rubygon, and Robin. After feeding Robin a drop of magical
saliva, he made it practice alongside Uriah, Rubygon, and the Rainbow Glow Unicorn. Robin was still a
cub and would soon grow quickly so training would help promote its development.
Upon entering the Magic Spiritual Space, Rocky saw seven Dark Heaven Cubs playing in their special
living area. They appeared to have already adapted to their environment and looked quite healthy. The
other three full-grown Dark Heaven Insects stayed close to watch over the cubs as affectionately as
mothers.
Rocky walked over to examine all seven Dark Heaven Cubs. He made it a point to examine them every
day by recording their growth no matter how busy he was. This was to ensure their health.
After examining them, he walked towards another corner of the Magic Spiritual Space. A dozen two-
star and three-star wild spirit-manipulated beasts were lying on the ground of a huge fenced area. They
were brought back for experimental purposes from the Myriad Beasts Ground. They were all paralyzed
due to the venom from the Centipede-snake that Rocky injected into them.
Rocky picked one of the beasts and took it to the lab to continue his experiment on the spirit-
manipulated beasts' brain lobes. In previous experiments, he only considered the brain lobes'
controlling function and ignored its difference from the human lobes. Human brains stop developing at
a certain stage and begin to weaken at a later point. What made the spirit-manipulated beasts different
was that their brains would never stop developing. In fact, their brains would develop further with each
upgrade they undertook and were likely to have an increase in brain tissue. However, the downside
was that the brain would be more prone to develop disorders. That was the experimental breakthrough
he had and why his previous experiments failed.
