CHAPTER 436 ASTONISHED!
Suddenly, the three squads were taking the defense line of the Timber Deity Empire by surprise,
attacking it from three different points.
Two small groups of spirit manipulators had taken the lead and with their ferocious spirit-manipulated
beasts, quickly headed towards the defense line of the Timber Deity Empire. As they proceeded to slay
the enemy, their spiritual power projected light and rumbled loudly every now and again.
That was when the troops of the Timber Deity Empire realized that things were different this time. The
troops of the Crimson Dragon Army were not pretending anymore; they were actually attacking them
for real.
"Be quick! Go report to our Commander that the Crimson Dragon Army is attacking us," shouted an
adjutant in charge of the defense line, with a ghastly pale face revealing his fear and utter
astonishment. Meanwhile, he instructed the spirit manipulators and the soldiers at the defense line to
resist the attack from the Crimson Dragon Army.
The first defense line in the west of Hippo Land consisted merely of a thousand men. In contrast, Marin
was leading the troops of the Crimson Dragon Army, with five thousand soldiers under her command.
The difference was monumental and they broke through the defense line with no difficulty.
There had been so many feinted attacks in the past few days that the troops of the Timber Deity
Empire had endlessly belittled and laughed at the Crimson Dragon Army. Now, as the troops of the
Crimson Dragon Army were finally attacking the enemy troops, they lashed out at them, releasing all
their oppressed feelings and restrained anger. Highly spirited, they fought relentlessly.
Moments after the attack had started, the first defense line of the Timber Deity Empire was destroyed.
Soon after, the second defense line was destroyed too, followed by the third defense line a little later.
By the time the news of the siege had reached the camp of the Timber Deity Empire, the Crimson
Dragon Army had already wiped three defense lines clean and passed through the woods in the west.
They were dangerously approaching the camp of the Timber Deity Empire.
At the Timber Deity Empire camp, Commander Wei's weary face showed signs of losing all hope as he
heard the news.
"Where is Mr. Mu?" Commander Wei hastily asked a soldier standing close by.
"I... I don't know," the soldier answered feebly, suddenly going weak at the knees, frightened by the
look on Commander Wei's face.
"Damn it! I should never have listened to him. I can't believe we fell into their trap," blurted Commander
Wei, his eyes opening wide in disbelief and anger. He called out to a group of people who were trying
to put out the fire, "Forget about the fire! I need you to be ready immediately to fight the enemy. Let's
show them how strong we are!" He started to give out orders, such as requesting the withdrawal of
troops positioned at other locations. Everyone was to gather at the west of the camp to fight the
Crimson Dragon Army.
It only took the Timber Deity Empire a few minutes to quickly build a solid defense, as they stood ready
to fight the troops of the Crimson Dragon Army, led by Marin.
"We should be ready to retreat soon. Where is she, that cold beauty? Is she going to leave me here all
alone? Could she be so heartless?" Rocky mumbled to himself as he found that the ferry was empty.
He heard the loud sounds coming from the west of the camp and immediately understood that a fierce
battle was going on.
"Who are you calling heartless?" whispered a crisp voice into Rocky's ear. He felt goose bumps all
along his back.
He shivered as he turned around to face Sabina's stone cold eyes staring back at him, filled with
hatred.
"Did I say something? I must have been talking in my sleep again! Are you ready to go? We should go
cheer for Marin," he uttered, trying to sound as innocent as possible.
Sabina glared at him angrily, but she kept quiet, choosing to ignore what she had just heard.
Rocky gathered his spirit together and opened the Magic Spiritual Space, calling Rubygon's name. He
climbed on the beast's back and turned around to Sabina, holding out his arm. "Do you want to ride
with me or on your own spirit-manipulated beast? By the way, I have never actually seen your spirit-
manipulated beast! Why don't you call for it, so that I can see it?" asked Rocky.
"Why?" inquired Sabina, holding up his gaze with her piercing eyes.
"I just want to have a look at your spirit-manipulated beast. I won't take it from you. Is it so ugly that you
are ashamed of it? That's probably why you don't want me to see it!" he said, intentionally mocking
Sabina.
Just as he had expected, Sabina was furious. She couldn't stand him at times, but she was not going to
give in so easily. That would just make him believe that he had been right all along. She made a few
gestures with her hands, stirring the air around her, until a hole suddenly appeared next to her, from
which three silvery white horns emerged, shining brightly in the night.
At first, a white horse's head appeared, shaking its mane from side to side, followed by a strong and
firm body. It resembled the Rainbow Glow Unicorn, but taller and more voluminous. It was as graceful
and noble as a princess's horse, so majestic and stunning that you simply couldn't keep your eyes off
it.
The way the spirit-manipulated beast manifested itself and how it stood by Sabina's side was a real
sight for sore eyes. Rocky couldn't stop staring at them in sincere admiration.
As a matter of fact, Rubygon too was affected by Sabina's spirit-manipulated beast, becoming restless
in front of its indisputable prestige.
'A Silver Moon Horse? This species could reach up to six-star level. It would certainly be among the top
twenty list of most capable spirit-manipulated beasts and definitely ranked in the top ten of rare spiritual
beasts, ' thought Rocky to himself. Rocky's eyes shone bright with fondness. He had been convinced
that Sabina's beast would have been a dragon, considering that she was a spirit manipulator at the
Supernal Stage and a royal spirit manipulator. A dragon would have been the logical choice to portray
her noble background, but apparently, he was wrong. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
Sabina's spiritual beast was undeniably far more impressive than any ordinary war dragon.
"Dare I, Commander Ji, ask if you would allow me to draw some samples from your spirit-manipulated
beast?" asked Rocky, as he greedily stared at Sabina's spirit-manipulated beast. He was so intrigued
by this rare specimen.
In Sabina's eyes, Rocky was acting like a hungry pervert, gawking at a beautiful woman. She looked
back at him in utter disgust. There was no way that she would ever let him touch her spirit-manipulated
beast. She would have had gone mad to let that happen!
Suddenly, Sabina's spirit-manipulated beast neighed and raised its head to look at the moon. Its body
exuded exquisite silvery light, resembling the moonlight's aura.
"Duchess Silver!" Sabina pronounced its name in a soft voice. Her face was filled with love as she
delicately stroked and patted it gently.
"Duchess Silver? A name fit for a queen," Rocky sighed intensely, filled with emotion.
Rocky's praises did not change Sabina's attitude towards him. She jumped on Duchess Silver's back
with elegant dexterity. As she caressed its mane, Duchess Silver neighed again, and a gust of wind
created a whirlwind of dust around its limbs.
Duchess Silver took a ceremonious leap forward, swiftly lifting its body from the ground as it started to
gallop across the air, brushing past Rocky as it flew west towards the Hippo Land.
