CHAPTER 428 REALIZATION
Meanwhile, in the Crimson Dragon Army camp nestled on a slope, half a mile away from the Hippo
Land, Rocky was studying the topographic map of the vast Hippo Land in his tent.
A few moments later, Sabina and Marin walked, side by side, into the tent.
"Rocky, have you prepared any plan to launch an attack? What is your strategy to fight the battle?"
Marin asked upon noticing Rocky's eyes were fixed on the topographic map, analyzing and studying
the map.
"No, I am yet to figure out how to approach a full-fledged attack!" Rocky answered in a cold detached
voice. He stood there with a reserved expression, arms crossed over his chest as he raised his head
and shook it.
Sabina and Marin exchanged glances with an evident feeling of despair. They both sensed that there
was something wrong with Rocky's tone. As the Commander in charge who led the troops, he was
responsible for making an effective attack plan at the earliest. However, even though it had been a day
since they reached Hippo Land, he still hadn't chalked out any concrete plan. And yet despite all of this,
he didn't seem anxious or even ashamed at the very least.
"I have prepared an effective attack plan. Would you like me to elaborate and discuss it?" Marin
offered, blinking more than normal, as though she had already considered the possibility that Rocky
wouldn't have had an attack plan yet.
"Really? That's great and such a big relief! This being the case, it's safe to say I don't have to think
about this any further," Rocky answered in a cheerful voice upon hearing her announcement. Noticing
his reaction, both Marin and Sabina immediately rolled their eyes at his clear laziness and behavior to
shrug responsibility of such mammoth importance.
Without wasting another moment, Marin walked right up to the topographic map and began explaining
her attack strategy while pointing her fingers at the map now and then to make it easy to visualize the
plan.
"A few hours back, along with some soldiers I went to analyze the defense line of the Timber Deity
Empire troops. Towards the end, I found a dead angle of their defensive line at this spot. I think we can
use this dead angle to our advantage. We may launch a surprise attack with about three thousand
forces. With the weak angle and the surprise element, I'm sure we will successfully defeat the
defending troops of the Timber Deity Empire and draw their attention. While this is unfolding, the rest of
the soldiers can ambush the enemies in the west of Hippo Land. With the defending troops of Timber
Deity Empire being engaged with our surprise attack troops, we will gain an opportunity to enter the
central area of Hippo Land as long as we break through the woods. By then, we will be close to the
camp of the defending troops of the Timber Deity Empire. At most, they are only seven thousand
people. Therefore, we have a great advantage over them being more superior in terms of our troop
strength," Marin said with confidence and detail as her deft fingers glided over the topographic map This material belongs to .
substantiating her plan.
"Commander Marin's plan seems concise and bold. She has analyzed the enemy's defense line
weakness and weaved it into our strategy for a maximum favorable result. Our army will be divided into
two groups, one to draw their troops away, and the other to attack them with force. We have a clear
advantage in terms of numerical strength, which plays a large role in battles of this scale. The plan
seems reasonable and good for execution. I believe this plan is feasible," Sabina summarized and
analyzed Marin's plan with crisp language to conclude the presentation. As she spoke, she could not
help but nod in agreement with the odds of this plan.
"Then, let's go ahead and execute this plan." Rocky had the last word as a wide smile appeared on his
face and he clapped with excitement.
The manner in which Rocky embraced her plan without any sign of hesitation took Marin by surprise.
She could not help but stare at him with a baffled expression. Earlier, when they were at the Rough
Slope, Rocky rejected all the plans she had put forward. What made it worse was that each time he
found faults and deconstructed every plan maliciously. So it was only obvious that this sudden change
in Rocky's behavior would take her by surprise. She wondered what brought upon this abrupt change.
'Is he scheming something?' she thought silently.
"Why are you still here, Commander Marin? You can order the troops to move forward as per your plan
now!" Rocky interrupted Marin's flow of thoughts when he noticed her staring at him doubtfully.
"Okay," Marin responded. She thought it was unnecessary to ponder on this any further since Rocky
had already made the decision. Besides, Sabina praised her plan, and it meant a lot when coming from
someone that experienced. With that realization, she felt greatly encouraged and appreciated.
While they were talking, a giant tall figure strode into the tent.
"Rocky... Oh, no, sorry, now I should be calling you Commander Bai!"
Rocky, Marin and Sabina all turned their heads to look in the voice's direction. The man standing
across from them was Dunn. He came here from the Arno River as soon as he could after receiving the
order of transfer.
"Commander Dunn, you're here just in time. We just decided on the attack plan to move forward.
Please further strategize and map out the attack with Commander Marin," Rocky said while giving
Dunn a welcoming nod.
"Sure, no problem," Dunn said with confidence.
Then, Marin and Dunn turned around and left the tent. They planned to order the troops to carry out the
attack plan even though it was now night.
"You could have come up with a better attack plan yourself, then why did you so easily choose
Commander Marin's?" Sabina asked Rocky blatantly soon after the other two left the tent. She stared
at him, with a worried look, and spoke with an air of confidence as if she knew him very well.
"Commander Ji, do you really think I am capable of devising a better plan? If you really do, then you
think very highly of me and must adjust your expectations. I think Commander Marin's plan sounds
very good and could lead us to victory," Rocky said with a calm and reassuring smile. However, he
believed that there must be some reason for Sabina's sudden remark. He did not think she knew him
as well as she thought she did. This was the first time he worked along with Sabina, so they were
practically strangers to each other.
"Please don't pretend to be a fool in front of me. I saw what you did at the Wild Heaven Pass with my
own eyes..." Sabina blurted out instinctively, and this sudden revelation startled Rocky.
"The Wild Heaven Pass? When did you..." As soon as he heard what Sabina blurted out, Rocky felt
there was something fishy going on.
So, it turned out Sabina had followed Rocky since he went to the Wild Heaven Pass to assist the
Crimson Dragon Army. Owing to that, she had a first-hand account of his amazing performance. Also
as a senior spirit manipulator, she could sense that Rocky was quite different and strong.
With all of this, Sabina knew for a fact that Rocky was quite capable, and definitely more capable than
ordinary Frontline Commanders. Knowing all of this made Lance's decision to appoint Rocky as an
Elite Commander, to command the troops, easy to digest let alone surprise her.
"Well, you must have your own plan. It's just that you want to keep it a secret and be discreet, so be it."
Sabina tried to cover her tracks once she realized that she had just spilled the beans. Fortunately, she
managed to keep her countenance, as she looked at Rocky calmly.
"In my opinion, you must be thinking too much! But I had no idea that you were at the Wild Heaven
Pass too at that time. So, why did you appear at Geisha House and rescue me the other day?
Commander Ji, have you been tailing me since then? All of this seems too weird to be considered as a
mere coincidence!" Rocky asked her straightforward without hesitating since they had talked and
revealed so much.
"On that particular day, I just happened to pass by." Sabina tried to explain even though she knew it
sounded too farfetched.
"Did you really think I would believe this?" Rocky asked, raising his eyebrows as he expressed his
doubts.
"Believe it or not, it is your choice. You should just be grateful that I didn't kill you that day. You were
lucky!" Sabina exclaimed as a sudden coldness flashed in her eyes. As a reflex movement, she moved
her gaze down beneath Rocky's waist as she began recollecting her thoughts. She could not help but
recall what had happened at that time. In an instant, her eyes got even colder.
"Hello? Are you planning to do something with my dick?" Rocky inquired in a lewd tone, suddenly
covering his crotch with both hands, like a chaste girl.
"Just go to hell! I don't plan to do anything with your..." Sabina gave him a fierce gaze with her piercing
eyes as her face flushed red with anger and embarrassment. She did not intend to fix her gaze so
awkwardly let alone be commented on for it. She was so furious that she turned around and left the
tent immediately, without uttering another word, because she didn't even want to look at Rocky.
"Sabina is quite an interesting woman. But since I went to the Wild Heaven Pass, she has appeared
everywhere I have been. That cannot be a mere coincidence. Has she been following me and my every
move? What would she possibly gain by doing so?" Rocky muttered under his breath. A sly yet
attractive smile began to form on the corners of his lips. Suddenly, his eyes grew wide with some
realization.
