93 - The Ants

Boomerang carried the group out of the Kingdom of Act. Emberlyn was giddy with excitement, knowing her flames would finally be washed away by the silver lakes.

"You excited Emberlyn?" Floran asked, turning to her slightly. "Yes! I haven't been this excitement in ages." Emberlyn replied with a big smile. Octopus Man smiled and said, "And we're close too! Just another 2 quadrillion miles to go."

"I can almost taste the lakes already." Kookakoo added.

Cutecumber's stomach started growling and she giggled nervously. "Hey guys. Not to be annoying or anything, but I'm pretty hungry." she said, scratching the back of her head. "We're not stopping again. We need to help Emberlyn now." Floran replied.

"Don't worry. We can stop just for a second." Goose Man said, throwing his hanger on he ground, transforming it into a picnic blanket with picnic baskets on it.

"Thank you!" Cutecumber shouted, jumping off of Boomerang and opening the baskets. "Ooh, Horseradish and salmon sandwich. My favorite!" she said excitedly. "You know, I could go for some as well." Brazilian Bug Boy stated.

Floran was getting more angry, but Emberlyn tapped her shoulder and said, "It's okay. I'm kind of hungry too." Floran sighed and responded, saying, "Okay, fine. We can eat."

The group climbed down Boomerang and started consuming the sandwiches. "Mmm. This isn't so bad." Lusha said, surprised by how good it tasted.

"I'd prefer biscuits, but it is what it is." Octopus Man stated, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

Floran took a bite and sat still with an emotionless look before saying, "This has got to be the most foul thing I have ever had the displeasure of eating."

Cutecumber pointed to the distance before yelling, "OH NO! THE ANTS ARE COMING TO STEAL OUR FOOD!"

In the distance, there were a heard of fire-breathing dragons. "NOT THE ANTS!" Boomerang cried in fear.

Cutecumber stood up and ran up to the dragons, before slicing them one-by-one with her cucumber sword. "STUPID ANTS!" she shouted in anger.

One of the dragons managed to eat Cutecumber whole. Goose Man stood up, and turned the picnic area back into his hanger. The sandwich Emberlyn was about to eat disappeared from her hands, and she looked down sadly.

Goose Man aimed his hanger at the dragon that ate Cutecumber and fired bullets at it. The bullets bounced off of the dragon, and Goose Man was taken aback by how durable the dragon was.

Octopus Man stepped in front of Goose Man and said, "Stand aside. I've got this." He then whistled for Catalina, who manifested her body beside him. "Good doggy. Now transform into atom!"

Catalina barked before transforming into a microscopic atom. "How is that supposed to help?" Floran asked, crossing her arms. "Just wait and see!" Octopus Man replied.

Lusha got up, ready to fight the dragons for herself, but Octopus Man shouted at her, saying, "WAIT! I'VE GOT THIS!" Kookakoo grabbed Lusha's arm and said, "Yeah Lusha. He's got this. Don't you trust Octopus Man?"

Lusha thought back to when Octopus Man almost killed her with the power of Turkmenistan. "I guess I do." she replied with a shrug.

Octopus Man smiled brightly and shouted, "It's happening guys!". He was pointing to the ground. They all looked at the ground to see nothing. "Since Catalina is literally microscopic, I have no clue what you're talking about." Brazilian Bug Boy stated.

"Catalina is duplicating at a rapid state. She could surely transform into a atomic bomb at this point." Octopus Man explained. Kookakoo pointed to the ground and said, "But she's multiplying too fast!"

"How are you two seeing any of this?" Floran asked in an exasperated tone.

Octopus Man backed away in fear. "Uh oh. Kookakoo is right. Catalina is becoming too dense. RUN!" he yelled. Him and Kookakoo ran behind a nearby rock.

Floran began to speak saying, "What are you two..." but just then Catalina exploded with the force of the big bang. The dragons were atomized in an instant. Everyone besides Octopus Man and Kookakoo were now covered in atomic waste.

"You should have hid behind our trusty rock guys." Octopus Man said, shaking his head.

Lusha caused a powerful gust of wind to wipe off the atomic waste from their bodies. "I hate you guys." Floran said angrily.

"But look. We saved Cutecumber." Kookakoo stated, pointing to were the dragon once was. They all turned to see Cutecumber was now a puddle of goo. "All in a day's work." Octopus Man said, heroically putting his hands on his hips.

Cutecumber quickly regenerated and gave them a thumbs up. "Thanks guys." she said happily.

Floran started climbing Boomerang again. "So much for a picnic. Let's just keep going." she said in her usual annoyed voice. "Ugh, you are never any fun Floran." Kookakoo said. "You've said that before." Floran replied.

They all climbed back onto Boomerang and Cutecumber said, "I'm just happy we beat the ants."

Meanwhile, Nalay and Malum were exploring a nearby carnival. Nalay then jolted a bit, before laughing to herself. "What happened Nalay?" Malum asked. "Oh it's nothing. I can just sense that my sister is having a really fun time right now." she said sarcastically.

"Oh... and I have one more question." Malum stated. "Why are we at this carnival?" she asked. "It's a new world, we gotta explore it. And besides, you wouldn't stop crying about being trapped here." Nalay responded.

"But I have a really big fear of carnivals and snakes." Malum said. Nalay looked around at all the snakes. "Then taking you to the snake carnival probably wasn't the best of ideas." she stated.

"Can we go to the blanket store I saw on the way here instead." Malum asked. "You are such a crybaby. Fine we'll go." Nalay replied before nudging her. "You're lucky I'm so chill and cool." Nalay added with a smug smile.

When they arrived at the blanket store, Malum got under a blanket and fell asleep. While Malum was asleep, Nalay searched the blanket store, she saw a glowing blanket that had "Triune killing blanket" written on it.

"Hmm. I wonder what that could mean." Nalay thought to herself before walking past it.
