48 - Fight in the Warehouse

The power from crystal of life surged through Octopus Man and Kookakoo. They both started glowing with yellow auras. With determination in their eyes, they began to walk from out of the hole they dug, and into the warehouse, closer to Xanthe.

Xanthe just snapped her fingers again. A shockwave once again was created, hitting Octopus Man and Kookakoo knocking both their aura away, and their skin away, reducing them to just a skeletal system.

Lusha tried to contain her laughter by covering her mouth. "You're silly." she said, snickering to herself.

Dinkleflop was trying to stay away, hoping that Xanthe would forget he existed. He looked over to the side and realized that Scratchy was gone. He then looked over to the other side to see that Jinjin and Mimi were also gone.

Octopus Man and Kookakoo regrew their skin quickly. Xanthe tilted her head backwards, exhausted by this confrontation. She just pointed to the side, and a massive gust of wind was summoned.

The gust of wind blew the crystal of life out of Octopus Man's hand and flew outside. Their powerup automatically left their bodies.

Kookakoo shrugged and walked away. "I'm leaving." she said as she disappeared into the distance, never to be seen again.

The crystal was blown right next to the bush Emberlyn was hiding behind. She was trembling in fear. She didn't know if she should take it or not, but it seemed like she was the only one who could possibly save the day.

Emberlyn took a deep breath and ran from out of the bush and grabbed the crystal of life. As the power surged through her, she turned to Xanthe.

"I'm going to defeat you!" Emberlyn proclaimed, but suddenly the power left her body. "Wait... WHAT HAPPENED!" she yelled.

Lusha couldn't contain her laughter anymore. "You're so weak not even the crystal of life worked on you." she said through her laughs.

Emberlyn's lips quivered in fear and sadness.

Xanthe stretched her arm out, and Emberlyn covered her face in desperation. Xanthe sighed and lowered her arm. "You're not even worth my time." she said with a sigh.

Octopus Man frowned and said, "You know you're making me mad. Don't make me track down Kookakoo and kill her."

While Octopus Man was threatening Xanthe, Lusha took the opportunity the pick up a nearby stone and throw it at the ceiling, right above Xanthe.

Lusha threw the stone so hard that the roof collapsed on top of Xanthe, crushing her. Octopus Man put his hands and his pockets and pouted. "Oh yeah, take away my spotlight." he said sarcastically.

"YAY YOU DID IT!" Kookakoo yelled. Octopus Man then turned to her with a surprised expression on his face. "I thought you left, never to be seen again." he stated.

Kookakoo nodded and replied, "Yup!" Octopus Man turned around. "Ok, we'll just ignore that." he said.

The pile of rubble that crushed Xanthe combusted into purple flames, and Xanthe walked out from the flames.

"SHE'S ALIVE!" Kookakoo shouted in fear, before running off to grab a stop sign, and then bashing it against Xanthe's head.

Xanthe fell to the ground and Kookakoo kept smashing Xanthe's head in with the stop sign. "BE GONE!" Kookakoo shouted.

Xanthe looked completely unamused and wasn't taking any damage. She grabbed the stop sign and flung it to the side. Kookakoo, who was still holding on to it, flew to the side with it.

Lusha's obnoxious laughter filled the warehouse once again. Xanthe looked aggravated, and walked up to Lusha and karate chopped her head, causing her to be sent flying down through the ground. Lusha exited from the other side of the planet, never to be seen again.

"I'm tired." Xanthe mumbled to herself before being engulphed in purple flames.

"W..what's happening?" Emberlyn asked with a shaky voice.

"She's powering up." Octopus Man said casually. "She's probably going to kill us all in the most brutal ways possible." he concluded. Emberlyn gasped in fear.

Octopus Man laughed and bit and patted her head and said, "I'm just kidding. Don't worry. It'll only hurt for 10 minutes and be the most excruciating pain anyone has ever experienced, and then it'll be all over." Emberlyn started tearing up again.

The flames dissipated and Xanthe walked out in her new form. She was now wearing a black shirt underneath her jacket.

"SHE TRANSFORMED!" Kookakoo yelled.

Dinkleflop, still trying to keep a low profile, started shaking in fear. "The power of grape juice is so strong." he said to himself.

Octopus Man turned to Kookakoo and had a very serious expression on his face. "I'm feeling under the weather today, so I can only use weak abilities right now." he stated.

Kookakoo looked worried and replied, "But my stop sign ability, capable of defeating God, isn't even enough."

Octopus Man looked down. "I know, so my weak abilities are going to be useless, but I must try anyway." she stated. He turned to Xanthe and raised his hands. "BECOME GOD AND DESTROY THE REWRITE THE TIMELINE ABILITY!" he yelled.

Kookakoo fell to the ground. "No. That's the weakest ability ever. Even an ant could survive this." she said while sobbing.

Emberlyn started laughing nervously. "Yeah... obviously, I mean, I could do this... I won't... but I totally could." she said in the least convincing way possible.

Time started shifting and Xanthe punched a hole through time, rendering the ability useless. "I KNEW IT WOULDN'T WORK!" Octopus Man cried.

Xanthe put her hand on Octopus Man's head and her purple flames manifested once again. "Would you mind. That burns a bit." Octopus Man said kindly.

Xanthe didn't say anything, she just covered Octopus Man's entire head in grape juice flames.

Kookakoo shook her head. "He never stood a chance against someone wearing a black shirt."

Suddenly, the figure from earlier came in, moving so fast the flames were blown away and Octopus Man's head was back to normal. 3 knife slashes were heard, and Xanthe's eyes widened as blood started pouring out of three marks on her torso.

The figure disappeared just as fast as it appeared, and Xanthe got on one knee, holding her stomach in pain.

Xanthe was severly weakened, and whatever effect she had on Floran and Brazilian Bug Boy wore off. They stood up and looked around for a second.

Floran gritted her teeth when she saw Xanthe. Xanthe turned her head to see Floran. Floran just raised her finger, causing energy spikes to pierce through Xanthe.

Octopus Man smiled and said, "Isn't it convenient that we get to beat a lot of villains in three chapters or less."

"It sure is." Lusha said. Octopus Man turned to her and began saying, "Weren't you..." but Lusha cut him off and answered, "Yes. I was gone, never to be seen again."

Dinkleflop cautiously walked up to Floran and said, "I don't know if it's the best time, but I'm sorry for being mad at you earlier."

Floran rolled her eyes and looked away. "It's fine. I was mad too."

Dinkleflop then looked around and asked, "How did you find me anyway?" Floran shrugged and replied, "Some cloaked figure holding a party hat led us here"

Kookakoo giggled a bit and said, "Wasn't that the same person that literally just saved us." Octopus Man smacked Kookakoo on the head and answered, "No! The person that saved us wasn't holding a party hat idiot." Kookakoo rubbed her head in pain.

Emberlyn walked up to Octopus Man. "But that person did look almost exactly the same as the person that led us here." she said softly. Octopus Man got in her face and yelled, "THEY WEREN'T HOLDING A PARTY HAT!" Emberlyn flinched in shock.

"Wait... someone holding a party hat led you here?" Dinkleflop asked, just realizing what had been said. "Yeah. So what?" Floran asked.

Dinkleflop's eyes looked angry as he clenched his fist. "It's nothing. Never mind." he grumbled. Floran looked confused.

Cutecumber came from out of nowhere. "Hey guys." she said. "Where have you been?" Floran asked with an angry tone. "Just petting a really cute cat." Cutecumber replied.

Floran was about to get upset at her, but the warehouse started shaking. Everyone looked around for a bit, and Floran turned to Dinkleflop. "Where did this warehouse even come from?" she asked loudly.

Dinkleflop froze in fear when he remembered, this warehouse was just a projection from Sleeping Dude's dream. "GET OUT!" he yelled. They all ran outside of the building, and it disappeared behind them without a trace. The only thing behind them was Sleeping Dude covered in a blanket, snug as a bug in a rug.

"Who's this guy?" Floran asked.

Octopus Man turned around and said, "Look a guy in a suit and tie is coming over here." They all turned around as well to see. Kookakoo grumbled and said, "I hate people who wear suit and ties." Emberlyn covered her black suit and yellow tie. Lusha on the other hand, was proud of wearing her suit and tie.

As the man walked closer, Brazilian Bug Boy suddenly yelled, "HAHA, I GET THE LAST LINE OF THE CHAPTER!"

Octopus Man shook his head and said, "No you don't."
