103 - Breaking The Cracks

As Emberlyn ran to Floran, Floran quit walking and simply stood still. Once Emberlyn made her way to Floran, she also stood still. "What has gotten into you? You were fine when we were outside." Emberlyn said in a weak voice.

Floran did not turn around, she just kept staring down the vast room. "It's because, I realized that this is just a game... or something like that." Floran replied cryptically.

"Yup. She went insane." Nalay said with a smirk. "Classic Floran." Kookakoo said.

Floran finally turned around to face Emberlyn and the rest of the group. "Yeah. I'm insane for being the only one here who actually cares!" Floran shouted.

"You're a broken record Floran. You've said this before." Lusha stated. Floran shook her head and took a step forward. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I AM DONE!" Floran yelled. Her voiced echoed loudly off the walls.

Floran then pointed to the ceiling, and yelled, "I KNOW SOMEONE CAN HEAR ME! I KNOW YOU'RE LISTENING!"

There was a deafening silence in the room afterwards. "What are you even trying to say?" Cutecumber asked, stepping forward a bit.

Floran then responded, saying, "I'm saying that everything we do is being dictated. Think about it. Why did we face off against those "evil 4" idiots? Why did we just so happen to appear in this world without using the microphone, which inadvertently lead to the microphone's destruction? Why did Mr. Fluffypants steal the key, which made our trip to the Tower of Braccas pointless?"

The group looked at each other a bit in confusion. "We're just really unlucky." Brazilian Bug Boy suggested. "Impossible. Angels like me are endowed with perfect luck. The concept of luck even. In a tough situation, we should make things that have a 0% chance of happening, have a 100% chance of happening. So, it doesn't make sense that we keep failing!" Floran replied angrily.

"Seems like something you should have noticed earlier to be honest." Octopus Man said with a shrug. "Yeah, it does." the rest of the group muttered to themselves.

"Regardless! Why are the main villains of this story not seen as a threat to any of you?" Floran asked, pointing at the group. Nalay then spoke up, saying, "Listen Flory, we just..." but Floran cut her off yelling, "DON'T CALL ME FLORY! AND SHUT UP! NONE OF YOU CARE!"

Floran then pointed at Octopus Man and said, "You so proudly proclaim to be the main character. You're the titular character after all. So why don't you care?"

"I do care. It's just that my brain is on a higher plain of existence." Octopus Man replied. "Oh, that's what we're told. We can write off your idiocy just because this is a gag series with no stakes. That's not just idiotic, it's lazy writing. Give me an actual reason!" Floran demanded.

"Floran." Emberlyn said melancholically. Floran looked at Emberlyn with an angry expression. "What?" she asked in a very stern tone. Emberlyn looked down and didn't reply.

Floran then shook her head and turned back around. "Look at this place. This is where the Triune is supposed to be, but it's just an endless room. There is no Triune here." she said in a quieter tone.

"FLORAN!" Kookakoo yelled. Floran turned around to face the group again. "What is it now?" she asked, completely exhausted.

"YOU NEED TO EAT A BISCUIT!" Kookakoo exclaimed. Floran narrowed her eyes and bluntly said, "No."

"It's not a choice!" Kookakoo shouted, running up to Floran before taking a biscuit out of her pocket and stuffing it in Floran's mouth.

Floran coughed a bit as she swallowed the biscuit. Her eyes then widened a bit and she started to feel at ease. "You have now achieved enlightenment." Kookakoo said with a smile.

Floran rolled her eyes and turned around. "Whatever. Let's just keep going." she stated.

Goose Man smiled and said, "Looks like she's in a better mood."

"I'm starting to think Octopus Man and Kookakoo really do have brains on a higher plain of existence." Lusha said, grinning with her sharp teeth.

"Finally, you realize it." Octopus Man said. He then adjusted the plush octopus on his head and said, "Okay. Time to go!"

Emberlyn smiled seeing Floran acting better all of the sudden and followed her.

As the group walked down the hall, Boomerang felt a slight jolt. "What was that?" he asked. "What was what?" Brazilian Bug Boy asked in response.

"I felt something." Boomerang stated. "I didn't." Brazilian Bug Boy responded. "Neither did I." Lusha said.

Boomerang then felt another jolt and shouted, "There it was again!" Malum pulled on the strings of her pink hoodie, causing her hood to cover her face. "I'm scare of that dinosaur." she said quietly.

"First Floran, now Boomerang. Is everyone just going insane all of the sudden?" Cutecumber asked.

"Wait! I felt it too!" Octopus Man shouted. The group then came to a halt, and Kookakoo said, "What did it feel like."

"It felt like a train running over my toes." Octopus Man replied. "And you're not screaming in pain?" Goose Man asked.

Kookakoo then felt a jolt and yelled, "I FELT IT TOO!"

"Don't worry my trusty sidekick. We will find out who is causing this and send them to the ℵ∞ ring of hell." Octopus Man exclaimed. "YEAH!" Kookakoo replied with an excited shout.

"A bit overkill don't you think?" Brazilian Bug Boy asked.

Floran stopped and sighed before saying, "I feel it too."

"Well, if you four feel something, who am I to deny it?" Nalay said. "I think I know what this feeling is." Boomerang stated. "What is it then?" Cutecumber asked.

"We aren't moving. We are just looping. Something is stopping us from moving at all." Boomerang explained.

"I WAS JUST GOING TO SAY THAT!" Octopus Man shouted.

Floran laughed to herself a bit. "This is further proving my point. There is something... or someone that is stopping us from progressing past this point." she stated before manifesting an energy sword and slicing at the air.

The group watched her slash at the air multiple times. She spoke between every slash, saying. "They didn't... want us... to progress at all... but since we've gotten this far... they can't let us move anymore!"

Octopus Man shrugged and his face turned into a bunch of machine guns, and he started firing at the air. Brazilian Bug Boy noticed this and started swinging his sword as well.

Kookakoo started firing off math explosions. "20 + 20 = 40!" she shouted. "40 + 40 = 80!" she shouted again.

Cutecumber unsheathed her cucumber sword and started slashing at the air as well.

Goose Man used his hanger and started shooting at the air.

Boomerang used his electric tail and tried to electrocute the surrounding air.

Lusha smirked and started to twist the surrounding air with her air manipulating powers.

Nalay also manifested an energy sword and swung at the air.

Malum and Emberlyn looked at each other blankly.

Floran gritted her teeth and swung her sword harder and harder. She saw the cracks of the story and was attempting to break through them.

Octopus Man's face then returned to normal, and he said, "Hey guys. Stop, I found the door." He pointed to a door that was right next to them.

"Why are there always conveniently placed doors?" Cutecumber asked. Floran sighed and her sword dissipated. "Who cares. Let's just go." she said before opening the door.

When the group arrived at the other side of the door, all they saw was another large room. Floran snickered to herself. Her snicker turned into a chuckle, which turned into a maniacal laugh. "YOU'RE PUSHING MY LIMITS!" she yelled.
