73 - Witch's Shack

73 - Witch's Shack

A girl wearing a black and white horizontally striped sweater and a strawberry shaped hood with short green hair underneath was tied to a rope and being lowered into a boiling caldron. She was screaming and flailing about, attempting to free herself. "LET ME GO!" she cried.

On the other side of the room was another girl with short turquois hair, wearing a blue witch outfit and hat. She was stumbling over herself trying to find something.

"I can't find my stirring stick." she said to herself. "If only I had my glasses." she concluded, feeling on a table, trying to find her glasses.

The door opened, and Brazilian Bug Boy walked in first. "AH! INTRUDERS!" the witch yelled. She grabbed a black staff and aimed it at Brazilian Bug Boy, firing centipedes from it.

The centipedes caused Brazilian Bug Boy to go flying out of the room, crashing into Cutecumber. They both stumbled out of the shack and landed on the ground next to Boomerang. "I told you to watch out for centipedes." Boomerang said in a judgmental tone.

Floran looked behind her to see that Cutecumber and Brazilian Bug Boy had been defeated already. She turned back to the witch and noticed the other girl with the strawberry hood being lowered into a caldron behind her.

Floran narrowed her eyes and summoned a very fine beam of energy that she held telekinetically above her head. She hurled it towards the rope cutting the girl free.

The girl screamed as she fell from the rope. Floran spread her wings and flew to her to catch her from falling into to caldron.

Floran caught her and placed her on the ground safely. The girl could not believe she was alive. She was still shaking from the fear.

The girl turned to Floran with bright eyes and said, "Thanks for saving me stranger." Floran nodded and replied, "It's nothing. And my name is Floran."

The witch had finally found her glasses. "YAY I FOUND THEM!" she yelled. She then looked around the room to see Octopus Man, Kookakoo, and Floran standing there.

"MORE INTRUDERS!" she yelled. She aimed her wand at Octopus Man and shot him with a billion volts of electricity. The electricity engulfed Octopus man in smoke. Kookakoo, Floran, and the girl with the strawberry hood covered their faces and started coughing from the smoke.

When the smoke cleared, Octopus Man had been separated into 5 tiny Octopus Men. They wondered around the room aimlessly saying, "biscuits biscuits biscuits!" in a high-pitched voice.

Kookakoo picked one up and said, "Can I keep it?" The tiny Octopus Man bit Kookakoo's finger. "YOUCH!" she screamed, dropping him.

All the tiny Octopus Men then focused their attention on the witch. They ran to her and started biting her shins. "OW! OW! OW!" the witch started screaming in pain.

The Octopus Men then ran back jumped into a ball. They started glowing and transformed back into Octopus Man. "What just happened?" he asked, holding his head as if he was dazed.

Floran took the opportunity and got the witch girl in a headlock. The witch closed her eyes tightly from the pain and begged, "Please let go!"

"What? No way! You were about to kill someone!" Floran replied.

Brazilian Bug Boy and Cutecumber walked back in. "What did we miss?" Brazilian Bug Boy asked. "WHAT THE HELL YOU ALREADY BEAT THE SUPER VILLAIN?" Cutecumber yelled in disbelief.

The witch looked at Floran and said, "I wasn't killing anyone." Floran pointed to the girl with the strawberry hood and responded, "Oh yeah? Then what was she doing dangling from a rope, being lowered into a caldron?"

The witch looked at the girl in confusion and said, "Oooooooh. I know what must have happened."

"Oh boy another flashback!" Octopus Man said excitedly.

The witch was whimsically frolicking through the forest, rummaging for strawberries for her world-famous stew. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw a massive strawberry. She picked it, but it turned out to be the girl, simply wearing a strawberry hood. She began screaming as she was being taken away.

Floran had a disoriented looked and said, "Your story makes no sense. Why did that girl with a strawberry hood just so happen to be in a strawberry field? How did you not here her screaming? WHY WAS SHE TIED TO A ROPE?"

"It's part of my cooking routine. I put my fruits and vegetables on a rope and lower them into a caldron."

"You lower them one by one?" Floran asked, not believing her for a second.

"Yes." The witch responded with an innocent smile.

Floran sighed. "That still doesn't explain why you didn't hear her screams." Floran stated. "I was listening to death metal on my wireless earbuds. Honest!" the witch replied.

Octopus Man and Kookakoo nodded. "Sounds believable." Octopus Man said. "Yup. Sounds like something I would do." Kookakoo added.

"I really hate how it actually sounds like something you two would do." Floran replied angrily.

"Please believe me. It's true!" the witch reiterated. Floran looked at her for a second and said, "Wait a second. Aren't you too young to be a witch? Aren't witches usually old?"

The witch nodded. "Yes. I just decided from a really young age that I wanted to be a witch."

Floran still wasn't believe a word she said. She snatched her glasses off and said, "I bet you don't even actually need these."

"What?" the witch asked. Floran looked confused.

Octopus Man shouted at Floran, saying, "She can't here without her glasses! Give them back to her!"

"That doesn't even make... whatever." Floran said, giving up. She gave the witch her glasses back.

The girl with the strawberry hat chimed in, saying, "I believe her!"

"YOU WERE LITERALLY THE VICTIM IN ALL OF THIS!" Floran shouted in disbelief.

Cutecumber walked up to the girl with the strawberry hat and asked, "By the way, who are you?"

"Oh, I'm Betty of the Kingdom of Act. The Strawberry District specifically. You can call me Strawbetty." she replied with a smile. "So we're just going to forget about the super villain here." Floran said with a sigh.

Octopus Man put her hand on Floran's shoulder and said in a reassuring tone, "Yes."
