Octopus Man
4 - The Triune

4 - The Triune

John had always been passionate about biscuits. In his dreams, he usually found himself wandering through endless fields of biscuits. One morning, he woke up from a particularly vivid dream about biscuits. He stretched lazily, yawned, and realized that he was still dressed in his Octopus Man outfit, complete with the red makeshift cape and the plush octopus perched on his head. It seemed he had forgotten to change out of his superhero attire before going to bed.

John didn't really seem to care, he is Octopus Man after all. He made his way to the kitchen, ready to make biscuits again.

John mixed the dough, cutting out perfectly round biscuits and placing them on a baking tray. The kitchen filled with the tantalizing scent of freshly baked biscuits as they turned a golden brown in the oven.

Finally, he pulled the biscuits out, steam rising from their flaky exteriors. Octopus Man set them on a plate and sat down at the table. He took a bite of a warm, buttery biscuit, savoring the taste that had filled his dreams just moments ago.

As John savored his biscuit breakfast, he suddenly felt a weird sensation. His surroundings began to warp, and in the blink of an eye, he found himself in an abstract realm. Before him stood a being so indescribable that John's mind couldn't comprehend its form.

The abstract being looked at Octopus Man and spoke in a low voice.

"This vision has been summoned by your actions," the being said cryptically.

Octopus Man blinked in confusion. "Was it because I ate the biscuits?" he asked.

The abstract being shook its non-existent head. "N.. no, it isn't because you ate the biscuits. It is because you played a part in the destruction of the Triune."

"What's a Triune?" John asked not understanding a word the being was saying.

The being nodded gravely. "T Triune are three ancient gods who sent their manifestations into the human world. Their avatars were the guacameteors, the giant little boy and Bright and Sunny. You defeated them and their true forms were angered, they broke the boundaries between dimensions, allowing many malevolent forces to seep into the universe."

Octopus Man's looked at the being with concern. "Malevolent forces? What do you mean?"

"The destruction of the Triune has unleashed chaos and disorder. The boundaries between dimensions are weakened, and the universe is now vulnerable to the influence of countless evils that seek to enter." the being answered.

John was now back in the comfort of his world, John couldn't help but think that the surreal encounter with the abstract being had been nothing more than a dream. He shrugged off the strange vision and went back to what he did best – eating biscuits.

But just as he was savoring another bite, John felt a sudden and frantic pat on his shoulder. Startled, he turned to find Kookakoo standing there panicing and tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Kookakoo, how did you get in my house?" Octopus Man began to ask, but before he could finish the question, Kookakoo let out a hysterical scream.

"The world is coming to an end!" she cried out, her voice trembling with fear.

Octopus Man's eyes widened with alarm, and he put down his biscuit. "Wait, slow down! What's going on? How did you get in here?"

Kookakoo, still in a state of distress, hiccupped as she tried to catch her breath. "I... I don't know, Octopus Man. I was just outside, and suddenly I felt this overwhelming sense of dread. I rushed here as fast as I could!"

Octopus Man's heart sank as he took in Kookakoo's words. He knew that their encounter with the abstract being and the revelation about the malevolent forces were not just dreams. Something was terribly wrong, and they needed to act fast.

"Okay, Kookakoo," Octopus Man said, his voice firm, "we need to figure out what's happening and how to stop it. But first, take a deep breath and tell me everything you saw."

As Kookakoo caught her breath and wiped away her tears, she began to describe what she had seen.

"It was... it was a guy." she stammered, her voice quivering with fear. "He was wearing a red and black hoodie, and he looked... he looked like he could instantly destroy entire buildings with just a thought."

Octopus Man turned to Kookakoo and said, "Ok, well we need to find this guy in the red and black hoodie. Come with me, and you can guide me to his location."

Kookakoo nodded, wiping away her tears. "He's just down the street from here."

Octopus Man wasted no time. With Kookakoo by his side, they took to the sky, flying through the city in search of the person who possessed the power to destroy buildings with a mere glance.

As they approached the location Kookakoo had mentioned, just as Kookakoo had described, they spotted him – a man wearing a red and black hoodie. He continued to reduced entire buildings to rubble seemingly by simply staring at them.

Octopus Man, determined to defeat the man in the red and black hoodie, propelled himself forward through the air.

However, just as he was about to reach the man, something weird happened. Octopus Man found himself suddenly plummeting to the ground.

He crashed to the ground, and, confused and disoriented, he quickly got back on his feet. He didn't understand what just happened – one moment he was soaring through the air, and the next, he was grounded without explanation.

Octopus Man got up and charged at the man in the red and black hoodie again, determined to reach him this time. But as he closed in, it happened again. Octopus Man somehow teleported to the ground again.

Kookakoo, seeing Octopus Man's struggles, decided to take matters into her own hands. With determination in her eyes, she shouted, "5 + 5 = 10!" Her explosive math powers surged forth, creating an explosion that struck the man in the red and black hoodie.

The force of Kookakoo's math equation caused the man to stumble back, a look of surprise crossing his face. But Octopus Man began to put the pieces of the puzzle together. He realized that this man wasn't actually destroying buildings with a glance. Instead, he was pausing time so he could carry out his actions without interruption.

This also explained why Octopus Man was being teleported to the ground earlier. That was also a result of the man's ability to freeze time. When he saw Octopus Man approaching, he would pause time which allowed him to neutralize the threat and send Octopus Man crashing to the ground. However, Kookakoo's abilities were different. Her math explosions were instantaneous. This meant that she could damage the man without him having time to pause time.

Realizing this, Octopus Man knew they had an advantage. "Kookakoo," he called out, "keep using your math explosions!"

Kookakoo nodded. With each equation she shouted, she created explosions that disrupted the man's attempts to pause time.

As Kookakoo continued to bombard the man in the red and black hoodie with her explosive math equations, his frustration grew. Realizing that he was being overwhelmed, he decided to stop time once more, freezing them in an instant.

With time at a standstill, he flew up to Kookakoo and, with a sinister grin, delivered a powerful punch. As time resumed its flow, Kookakoo tumbled through the air, crashing into the concrete below, groaning in pain.

Octopus Man, seeing Kookakoo fall, made him grow very angry. He propelled himself forward with all his speed, intent on reaching the man once and for all.

The man once again stopped time but this time was different. Octopus Man had built up so much momentum, so much velocity, that when the man attempted to stop time once more, he couldn't contain the unstoppable force that was Octopus Man.

As Octopus Man broke free from the time stop ability, his fist connected with the man's face. The impact was immense, and the man was sent hurtling backward, crashing through the side of a nearby building.

Kookakoo, still recovering from her fall, looked up in astonishment. "Octopus Man, you did it!"

Before he could respond the man in the red and black hoodie emerged from the rubble. His aura had grown darker, and his eyes glowed a shade of red. As he looked at the two, he put on an evil grin.

With a voice dripping with malevolence, he taunted, "You haven't won yet, Octopus Man. Time stop was only one of my powers."

To their shock, the man revealed yet another ability – teleportation. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from the rubble and reappeared right in front of Octopus Man. With great speed, he thrust his fist forward, punching it through Octopus Man's chest.

Kookakoo screamed in sheer terror as she watched her companion crumble into what seemed like dust before her eyes. Octopus Man, despite appearing as though he had disintegrated, suddenly rematerialized, his voice filled with humor as he casually remarked, "Ouch." Kookakoo smiled at the fact that he was okay and she sighed in relief.

The man however, didn't understand what had just happened. He attempted to strike once more, this time aiming a powerful punch at Octopus Man's face. The punch connected with such force that it knocked Octopus Man's head clean off his shoulders.

Octopus Man's plush octopus helmet tumbled through the air, and Octopus Man dashed toward his displaced head and plush octopus, snatching them up and placing them back on his shoulders. He looked at the man with a sad face, "Well, that wasn't very nice."

"What the... who the hell are you?" he yelled.

Octopus Man, ignoring the man's question, responded with a grin, "Oh, I have another secret power you don't know about. Laser vision!"

With a twinkle in his eye, Octopus Man focused his gaze, and a cow came out of his eyes and crashed into the man.

As the cow hit the man, he once again crashed into a building. The man groaned in pain, "What kind of laser vision is that?"

Kookakoo sprinted toward Octopus Man, her voice shaking as she declared, "I won't stand on the sidelines anymore, Octopus Man! I'm going to do something!"

As Kookakoo approached the man in the red and black hoodie, she raised her voice and shouted, "20 + 20 = 40!"

Her explosive math powers surged once more, creating a massive detonation that engulfed the entire city in a blinding burst of flames. The city was left in shambles, and it appeared that she had done more damage than the villain had ever managed to.

Octopus Man was about to scold Kookakoo, but before he could do so, the man in the red and black hoodie rose from the rubble entirely unscathed, his malevolent laughter echoing through the devastated city. It seemed that even Kookakoo's explosive math powers had not inflicted any harm upon him.

As the man chuckled, he extended a hand, snapping his fingers. In an instant, Octopus Man and Kookakoo found themselves in a completely different world. The sky overhead was an eternal black, and a blood-red sun hung in the horizon. The trees that surrounded them were a dark shade of purple.

The man in the red and black hoodie stepped forward, a smile on his face. "this is my domain," he declared. "Here, fate and the laws of the world are mine."

Octopus Man was now furious. Gritting his teeth, he asked the most pressing question on his mind. "Who even are you?"

The man said in a projected voice, "I am the boy who harnessed the power of mayonnaise. I am Super Mayonnaise!"

Octopus Man couldn't help but feel that the Triune, those gods who had once sent their avatars to the human realm, were watching him at this moment.
