At first, there were only rumors, but it didn't take long for those rumors to become suspicions and then reality. Some people began to develop strange powers, like throwing fireballs or flying.

The number of people with such abilities quickly multiplied, and just as quickly, the truth about their powers came to light. It wasn't the people who possessed these powers, but the various objects they carried with them.

After the impact, these objects absorbed the energy from the "thing," allowing only their rightful owners to use their powers. These items could be anything: furniture, clothing, piercings, organs...

Shortly after the discovery of these powers, wars broke out. Governments were established and overthrown. Entire cultures were lost. Even the Earth itself changed its appearance. Soon, only forgotten ruins remained as testimony to the life that once existed. And all this was due to that one incident.
