The new day began with a bitter aftertaste from the events of the day before.
The happenings still weighed heavily on everyone’s minds, yet people were eager to know what would happen next.
Once again, many citizens gathered in front of the garrison in Kurani. The crowd was much larger than yesterday. They were aware that several commanders were now present in the garrison.
Many intended to use this opportunity to pressure the military, while others immediately set to work rebuilding the city. They were too afraid to oppose the military, and that fear was justified.
While the protests grew outside, the commanders inside were deliberating on their next steps.

Despite his misconduct, Makon still attended the small council. Many believed that any one of them would have done the same in his position.
Everyone was present except Finn. He had, of course, been excluded and was imprisoned in the garrison for his "crimes."
After his "punishment" from Feratu, Finn had been thrown into his cell, where he now sat, bleeding and awaiting his sentence.
"What do we do about the rabble outside?"
"I say we mow down a few of them to stir up some fear. That’ll send them scattering. Always works in the villages!"
"We can’t do that here! This isn’t a village. This is Kurani! The biggest trading city in our country! If we cause even more unrest here, other nations will quickly take notice!"
"We can’t afford that!"
"He’s right!"
"But what do we do then?"
"SILENCE!!" Feratu bellowed through the room.
Instantly, everyone fell silent.
"As the highest-ranking officer here, I will make the decision! And refusal will not be tolerated!"

After a few minutes, the front door of the garrison opened. The crowd gathered around the fence that surrounded the garrison fell briefly silent.
Feratu and Makon stepped out.
"We have an announcement to make!" Feratu began.
