Kawao immediately recoiled and fell off the table.
With a serious, piercing gaze, he looked at the two members of the Church of Madness.
The nun grinned at him darkly.
"Where are you planning to take me?" he asked.
"Back to your beastly boss?"
"Beastly? How dare you insult his Holine—" the nun began.
"Calm down, Kunojo! Now is not the time for that!" the bishop interrupted her.
He returned Kawao's stare.
"It’s not necessarily our task to take him. He has to want it himself."
He sighed and walked towards him.
Stolen story; please report.
"You’re probably confused, especially after our last meeting... But don't worry! We mean you no harm. Our mission was to heal your wounds and, if we can convince you, to take you with us."
"And where to?" Kawao asked again.
"To our headquarters! Our master has taken a great interest in you."
Kawao paused for a moment.
After his first encounter with their boss, he knew immediately that these people had nothing good in mind.
He knew what he had to do.
"Well. Thanks for healing me, but I have no interest in joining your asylum!" he said calmly and then, with an energy-charged leap, dashed through the door leading out of the room.
The two calmly watched him go.
"This is pointless! I’ll knock him out and then we’ll take him!" Kunojo said, following after him.
The bishop tried to stop her, but she was already gone.
He sighed again.
In a rush, Kawao sprinted through the brightly lit and clean hospital corridors.
'I can't get caught! Where's the exit?' he thought as he rounded a corner and bumped into someone.
Both of them fell to the ground.
Kawao immediately got back up and quickly tried to help the other person up.
"Sorry! Are you alri...?"
Suddenly, his face went pale.
In front of him lay a skeleton cloaked in a robe.
It turned toward him.
In its eye sockets, small orange flames flickered.
"It's all good," the skeleton responded.
"Nothing happened."
