15: Kawao vs. the Pirate´s Leader

Kawao landed clumsily on the small hill.

Some of the pirates briefly turned to look at them, wondered for a moment, then continued running awkwardly.

The man in green slowly stood up.

"Ah! Uh! What the... Who are you?" he shouted at Kawao.

"I am the one who will stop you!" Kawao replied.

"Pah! Then try it!"

He turned around and ran into the woods.

For a moment, Kawao stood rooted to the spot.

,I'm not letting you get away, you filthy bastard!´

He followed him.

----------------------------------------

The forest was very dense, but that didn't bother him. It reminded him of the jungle in his homeland.

For a moment, he felt at home.

But then a huge rock flew towards him. He barely managed to dodge it.

While the rock tore through some of the trees behind him, he came to a stop in a small clearing.

His opponent was waiting for him there.

"Was that your ability?"

"Maybe."

His patience snapped again. Furious, Kawao charged at him.

But his opponent just flicked something towards him. In the next moment, another huge rock flew at him.

Instead of dodging, he gathered energy in his fist and shattered it.

But his opponent was no longer there. He quickly looked around.

Suddenly, another rock shot down at him from above. This time he dodged.

But shortly afterward, more rocks flew at him. With the energy he had gathered, he could easily dodge them, but he was being bombarded.

A short time later, the bombardment ended, and he could rest for a moment.

Or so he thought.

Because shortly afterward, massive leaves began to blow towards him.

He tried to dodge again, but this time the wind thwarted his efforts. He got tangled in them and quickly lost his bearings.

Another rock flew at him... and hit its target.

The stranger, who had been hiding behind some trees at the edge of the clearing, stepped forward.

"That’s it, then."

He turned around and started to leave.

But suddenly he heard a faint crunching sound.

"Not... yet!"

Slowly, the rock lifted. With a mighty crash, it shattered into pieces. Kawao slowly emerged from the debris.

"Where do you think you're going?"

His opponent looked at him in astonishment.

"The party has just begun!"

"You're more stubborn than I thought!"

"Thanks, likewise!"

"Alright! How do you want to die?" he said, getting ready to fight.

"Believe me. You don't want to know!"
