79: Fight of Monsters

Slowly, the dock beneath them began to crumble from the shockwaves of their attacks.

Shortly thereafter, Kawao managed to hurl his opponent far into the waters off Kurani with a skillful elbow strike.

With a massive splash, Hino landed in the water, creating a huge fountain.

Without hesitating, Kawao jumped in after him.

Hino stood on the water.

It began to boil beneath him.

He held his stomach.

‘That hit really landed!’

Through the cascading water, Kawao charged at him and delivered a punch, which was blocked.

Nevertheless, Hino was sent flying again.

With a loud crash, he slammed into a cliff outside the city.

With a malicious grin, he watched as his opponent sped across the water and suddenly jumped at him again.

But he easily blocked the next punch with one hand.

He gripped his fist tightly.

“Not bad! You’re quite entertaining! I guess I should get a bit serious too, right?” he said, chuckling, and hurled Kawao with immense force towards the city.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

With ease, Kawao landed safely in one of the many streets of the city.

But shortly after, Hino attacked him again.

This time, he had claws on both hands.

And more were slowly growing on his arms.

Kawao had no choice but to dodge.

‘Those claws have insane power!’

The battle continued intensely, while the people in the city panicked and desperately searched for a safe place.

Meanwhile, in the Kurani garrison.

For a good half hour, the whole city seemed to be in a state of emergency.

Makon was initially surprised, then angry, and finally a bit pleased.

He immediately knew that Fetu would be behind the chaos that his soldiers were reporting to him.

And even if he wasn’t, he would do everything in his power to pin it on him, like any good soldier.

Besides, something was finally happening in his city.

After about 18 years, the first serious incident!

Finally, he could shine since he took this job.

He barked orders to his soldiers with complete seriousness.

They were to help protect the citizens as best as they could and be ready should one of the two be defeated or if both run out of steam.

One of them would end up in jail today.

And no matter who it was, he would reap the rewards and stand as the victor.

He had no doubts about that.

After his men left his office, he turned and took a long, thoughtful look out the window.

From his office, he had a perfect view of the city.

Like a painting, he always thought.

He could no longer contain his anticipation.

At the end of the day, he would be in someone’s favor.

Be it the army or the emperor.

Either was good for him.

As he smiled down at the city, Kawao and Hino shot past his window for a split second.

Hino reveled like a madman as Kawao charged at him, nearly blind with rage.

With a loud crash, the window in Makon’s office shattered.

For a moment, he was in a state of shock.

Shortly after, he realized how dangerous the situation really was.

He immediately set off to end the fight at the next possible opportunity.
