50: Technique vs. Technique Part 2

Paikon took a deep breath.

He slowly swung his whips.

"RAAAAH!"

Suddenly, he struck.

But instead of whipping Kawao, he lashed at himself.

Blood splattered as he started to stagger and laugh.

Shortly after, the whips began to grow from his skin and multiply.

"GAAAAH! HAHAHAHA!" he screamed as the whips spread over his skin like vines.

Then he suddenly released them.

His body looked as if it had been tattooed with burning ink.

"Hah!... Are you ready for the real fun?"

But Kawao acted first.

He dashed toward him before he could finish his sentence and struck him with such force that he flew off the ship.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

"I think you should cool off a bit."

Just before Paikon landed in the open sea, he swung his arms and began to spin.

Fire whips shot out from his tattoos, rotating around his body at a rapid speed.

When the flames touched the water's surface, there was a loud hissing sound.

But most importantly, the rotation of the flames allowed Paikon to approach the ship again, and when he got close enough, he used his whips to pull himself back up.

Unfazed, he stood before Kawao.

"Did you say something?"

Kawao became angry.

Both charged at each other, and the fight resumed.

Unlike before, it was not just one or two whips attacking him, but easily six or seven!

Paikon was also faster.

It quickly became harder for Kawao to dodge, let alone attack.

If the fight lasted longer, he would be at a disadvantage.

After a short while, he noticed that the flurry of whips was setting the ship on fire.

"Hey! If you keep this up, you'll burn down your own ship!" he shouted.

Neither of them would benefit if the ship sank.

But Paikon didn't hear him.

He was too engrossed in the fight to notice anything else.

'I have to do something!'

He looked around.

The fight needed to be moved elsewhere.

...

'That's it!'

He jumped up and began to climb the ship's mast.

'This is still dangerous, but better than down below!' he thought.

"Where do you think you're going?" he heard Paikon call.

Shortly after, he dodged more whips that broke the mast he was standing on.

Now, he was holding onto some ropes.

With horror, he watched as Paikon literally floated upwards.

The whips growing from his body clung to everything around him, giving him a firm hold in the air.

"Do you really think you have a better chance against the Ship Scrambler up here?"

Meanwhile, dark clouds gathered, and it slowly began to thunder.
