"No... I don't believe I have. What rumors do you speak of?"

"Well. There is a rumor spreading through the city that an unknown mercenary has supposedly sunk one of your scout ships in the southern seas. It is said that he has declared the area his territory and destroys anyone and anything that dares to sail there."

"Interesting! That might explain why we haven't received any news from that area for about a week!"

"What do you intend to do, my lord?"
