One day after departing from Isulon.
Kawao had been given his own cabin on the ship.
He woke up early to train.
Over time, he increasingly felt that this would make him stronger.
He even contemplated some techniques he could develop with his newfound strength.
So, he spent the entire morning experimenting with his Nyd.
Around noon, Paikon came to fetch him.
He said he wanted to have lunch with him in his cabin.
Without thinking further, Kawao agreed and joined him for the meal.
They had seafood from the surrounding area, which the soldiers had caught during the day.
He recognized many of the ingredients, as they were also found on his island.
"Tell me, Kawao," Paikon began.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"Where do you come from?"
"From an island south of Isulon. We were isolated from the outside world for a long time.... I was sent out to see the world beyond ours," he lied.
"And what do you think?"
"I've seen a lot so far. But it's probably just a fraction of what I'll see before I can make a proper judgment, but... I think I'm beginning to understand why we isolated ourselves for so long."
"Oh really? And why?"
He probably shouldn't have said that.
"Well, because... I think those who founded our village had a wrong impression of the world. Maybe they needed more time to see the changed world."
"What do you mean by that? How long has your village been around?"
"About 200 years, I believe."
"So they left just before the first War of the Lost.... Tell me... Something just occurred to me! Have you ever seen a ship like this one on your travels?"
'Is he referring to those who attacked us?'
"Well, yes. In the port of Isulon, there were ships that had a certain similarity to this one."
"Then I need to be more specific."
Paikon stood up and looked at him darkly.
"Did you destroy our reconnaissance ship?"
Suddenly, a shiver ran down his spine.
He met his gaze seriously and replied, "Reconnaissance ship? I don't know anything about that!"
They remained like that for a moment.
Then the look on Paikon's face softened.
"Good. Then I'm relieved!"
He turned around and wanted to sit down again.
Kawao slowly took a deep breath.
BAM!
Suddenly, Paikon hit him with full force in the face and threw him through the wall of his cabin.
Kawao landed harshly on the main deck and held his hand to his face.
"So, you are indeed the one who destroyed our ship!" said Paikon as he walked through the broken wall toward him.
