Isabelle was ready to finally enact her revenge on Oglo, that sinister loot-stealing Citadel trainer who could apparently cast anti-magic spells as easily as he could paralyzation spells. She wanted to learn his spells, and she also wanted to rend his head just like Stelas’, except Isabelle was fairly certain that Oglo wasn’t member to any special party that granted immortality.
Or, was she?
Isabelle realized she hadn’t yet crafted anything out of the dragon she’d just slain! As eager and thirsty as she was for revenge, getting a chance to make use of all the great stuff she’d looted from the dragon kind of felt like a higher priority at the moment. After all, Oglo could run, but he couldn’t hide.
With that in mind, Isabelle opened the burlap sack containing Stelas’ head that she’d been holding her hands.
“Oh, look who it is again,” said Stelas. “I assume you’re here to fuck around in my inventory?”
“I mean, yes,” said Isabelle. “But you don’t have to be so rude about me doing it, Stelas. Would you rather be frozen in a block of ice? Or, hell, would you rather be dead?”
“I didn’t say I’d rather be dead!” said Stelas. “No, no, not I! Indeed, one of these days I’ll be rescued, you’ll see, you’ll all see, and I and the Overlord will team up and achieve dominion over you and your wretched party!” Stelas cackled.
“Um, Stelas, not to burst your bubble, but don’t you remember what just happened?” asked Tahsi through a mouthful of bread. “I mean, you do realize that the Overlord doesn’t even know who you are, right? And what’s more, I’m pretty sure the Overlord won’t be achieving dominion over, well, anyone any time soon. You know, since he got ursurped? He’s kind of out of power now.”
“Can’t you just let me have this?” asked Stelas with vitrol.
“No,” said Isabelle. “Now shut up so I can focus on your inventory.”
Stelas did not shut up. Instead, he launched himself into a long diatribe about how surely the Overlord had a plan, and that being urusurped had all been an act, and also how the Overlord had only been pretending not to recognize Stelas, and other such ridiculous delusions.
Ignoring this nonsense, Isabelle focused on the top of Stelas’ head.

After all, she was pretty damned powerful at this point, and had a ton of hp from stealth draining the dragon. Tahsi shrugged, and then swore as his character sheet popped up.
Isabelle wondered how exactly she was going to be able to find Oglo. He had to be somewhere close by. She looked down at the dead Cloud Reach guards near her feet. Maybe it was time to resurrect another one of them, assuming their bodies hadn’t gone stale or something, and see if they had any clue where that treacherous kobold could be. Isabelle raised her staff of undead in preparation.
