Hey folks - I’m writing because I know there was a decent number of people that enjoyed this fiction despite many of the harsh reviews and criticisms hurled its way, and for that I appreciate you all so much.
I have done my best since then to not only distance myself as best I can from emotionally connecting to negative feedback, warranted and not, but to integrate what feedback I can into a new story.
Please know I loved writing this story, but for a number reasons I won’t be able to continue writing any of it further - which you probably figured anyways.
That said, I’m using the Writeathon to turn over a new leaf and write something new. If you like my particular brand of humor, as well as female MCs and absurd fantasy worlds, it might be up your alley - however please know that it is not going to be the same as this story. The system is going to be different, and I’m relying a lot more on prose than I am on system formatting. It’s just using brackets at the moment.

I’ve only posted one chapter, but if this sounds interesting to you, then please do check it out.
Behold! The Harbinger of Doom

PS- I guess I lied. Here’s an extremely brief end to TWBDH.
Isabelle killed all of her companions and eventually decided to retire from adventuring in order to weave baskets. This slowly but surely progressed, until she was the greatest weaver in all the land. Knowing this, she peacefully passed of old age in her sleep, surprising everyone, most of whom doubted it was even possible for her to truly die.
The Overlord ended up falling in love with one of the bugs in his system, and decided that she wasn’t a bug at all - she was a feature.
Everyone else got either cut out or nerfed in the next system update due to budget constraints and one of the Devs quitting halfway because they got moved to a new office.
