E1-79-Regalo de 100 paginas.

Adam entered the principal's office: everything looked the same as when he came at the age of 10, except that the massive stack of books on the principal's desk was a bit larger. Cesar threw all the books onto the floor and sat on his desk, inviting Adam to sit in one of the armchairs.

Somewhat puzzled by the scene, the young man sat down, reminiscing about his childhood, and noticed that the chair, which had seemed immense in the past, now fit his body perfectly.

The last time Adam had sat in this chair, he was just a lost boy seeking to learn how to read and change his life. Yet now, the young hero was just a few steps away from completing his adventure to obtain the black robe.

Cesar saw the boy sit down and said calmly:

—Your reading pace is quite fast compared to your classmates. But it's slow when compared to special kids like you. I suppose you might have recalled some of your previous life. Poor Aquiles, always trusting the wrong people as a child, and now, as an adult, it seems his tendencies haven't changed much.

—I don't know what you're talking about...— Adam responded firmly, with some fear.

—You grew up in this school; you're like a godson to the baron, kid— Cesar replied, deducing the source of the problem perfectly —It's impossible for the baron to turn you into a book at this point.

Adam fell silent. Even if nothing happened, he preferred not to bring up the topic at school. The trauma from what happened with Sofia had never completely faded. The principal noticed the young man's silence and stood up to search for something in one of the drawers of his desk, ignoring the matter as he calmly said:

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

—Reaching 100 pages is a significant achievement. The vast majority of old books can be read with that amount of knowledge. The next 40 pages are an addition created by ancient librarians to transmit the variation in language over time and give you a better command of the language.

While speaking, Cesar managed to find what he was looking for in his desk: it seemed to be a very old file. The principal approached Adam and handed him the old file, saying with a kind smile:

—To commemorate your reaching 100 pages, I have a special gift for you, Adam. This file contains information about you as a student from 500 years ago. I hope it helps you remember more about your past and makes the most of your rebirth. If not, things could get complicated...

Adam understood what the principal meant. The guards were already doubting him, mistaking him for a creature trying to attack the middle floors. He didn't want people in the market to start doubting him as well. It would be quite a hassle to be attacked every time he went to buy something. But Adam had no way to fix it and could only trust that everything would be resolved when he confirmed his identity with his finger.

Adam took the file with trembling hands. He had long accepted that there was something strange about his past, but he could never recall anything. Most importantly, his father hated him for this past.

If the young man could understand his past, he might be able to find a way to reconnect with his father. Ever since he left home, Adam had been yearning for the day when his father would come to the cave of the eyeless old man to look for him again. But the years passed, and it never happened. Perhaps if he knew his past, he could understand the reason and correct the mistakes of his previous life.
