E1-120- El 5 libro mágico.

When Adam finished reading, the message disappeared, but this time, nothing appeared on the two pages. The young man felt that everything that had just happened was quite strange: unlike the other magical books, this experience had nothing to do with the ability described in the list of books.

In the other 4 magical books, the stories always had a vague correlation with the ability described by the eyeless old man: whether it was a fish swimming, an insect biting the big toe, the sentence back to the beginning, or the girl hiding. But this time, Adam couldn't understand how what happened related to the possibility of understanding an emotion.

However, as Adam was about to focus on sensing any changes in his body, he noticed that the characters began to emerge again in the book, leaving the two pages as they were originally before the characters started moving on their own.

Seeing the book return to its original state, Adam had a hunch that what he had experienced recently was related to reading his fifth magical book and not the ability of the book itself.

With the two pages filled, Adam tried to read them, but then he noticed a problem: the written phrases were repeating and didn't seem to make any sense. The young man hadn't realized this when he first opened the book because the text on the two pages was two giant paragraphs that were dizzying to look at.

Adam read the two giant paragraphs in his mind, but nothing happened, so he tried reading aloud:

> —Only I know that you know that he knew what we know, but I don't know that you don't know that he didn't know what we don't know.

As Adam read the sentence aloud, he didn't notice anything strange, so he repeated the sentence to see if he could learn a skill by reading the two giant paragraphs. But before the young man could open his mouth, someone with a very shrill voice interrupted him from the ceiling, shouting:

—Only know that you know that he knew what we know, but I don't know that you don't know that he didn't know what we don't know!

Adam looked up to the ceiling and found a miniature head staring at him from above. The head was bald and only had a mouth on its face. As Adam stared at the head for any clues, the miniature head repeated:

—Only know that you know that he knew what we know, but...

Before the miniature head could finish repeating the sentence, a blue bolt flew across the cave's ceiling and struck the head. Immediately, the head exploded like a watermelon, and its blood splattered all over the lake in the cave.

Adam felt something fall into the lake near him. Carefully looking at the blood-stained water, he noticed a little violet mushroom floating near his knees.

—Intruders entered the cave! Hide, boy!—The eyeless old man shouted with concern, appearing on one of the walls to see who had triggered the cave's defense system. As he emerged, the old man saw Adam standing on the lake with the book in his hand and his robes stained with blood.

—I think... Haaaaaa!—Adam tried to explain the situation to the old man, but as he finished uttering the word, one of his toes exploded, and he fell into the water.

The old man cautiously observed the cave, trying to find the culprit. Meanwhile, Adam watched in fear as his toe regenerated, but he didn't open his mouth to ask for help: he had understood the danger of the book!

The young man couldn't say anything other than what was written in the book until he finished reading it, and it seemed that a head would appear to confuse him every time he completed the sentence. There were slight differences between the sentence uttered by the mini-head, and the sentence itself was a tongue-twister, making it quite complicated to achieve. Plus, every time he missed a word in the sentence, one of his toes would explode, or it could be even worse the next time.

Adam lifted the book from the water; luckily, the water was magical, so it didn't damage the eyeless old man's book. But the blood on the ceiling had soaked the two pages, so he wiped away the blood with his robe and continued repeating the sentence:

> —Only I know that you know that he knew what we know, but I don't know that you don't know that he didn't know what we don't know.

However, nothing bothered him this time. Adam tried to continue reading to the end of the book, but nothing happened, and he hadn't learned the magical skill. The young man realized that there must be some other condition, such as not being able to make any mistakes while repeating the sentences.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

So, Adam started again with the first sentence and tried saying it from memory. However, it still didn't seem to work since no heads were coming out to bother him. Therefore, he stopped saying it from memory and read the first sentence from the book again. Immediately, a head emerged from one of the cave walls, and said:

—Only ...—Before the head could finish the sentence, a blue bolt came out of the old man's mouth and blew up the head, turning it into a mushroom.

—Keep reading, hero! Can't you see I'm helping you out of love!—The eyeless old man shouted excitedly, completely ignoring Adam and greedily eyeing a mini red mushroom on the cave floor —Together, we're invincible, kid!

Adam read the next sentence, trying to complete the reading, but no other head appeared. The young man got irritated as he realized he wasn't learning the skill. His first idea was that the heads weren't coming out due to the old man's interruptions. As a precaution, he signaled the old man to stop attacking the mini-heads just in case. But the eyeless old man shamelessly ignored him and kept attacking the mini-heads, gathering their mushrooms.

With frustration, Adam tried to read the sentence aloud quickly to beat old man. It seemed like the idea was working because he noticed four heads popping out of the cave walls, and since there were more of them, the old man took longer to destroy them.

Adam stopped reading and tried reading the sentence again before the eyeless old man could knock down the last mini-head, but no more heads emerged. It was then that Adam realized the serious problem with this magical book and why it could end up being really dangerous.

—Why the hell are you stopping? Don't give up, hero!—The old man said, looking greedily at the mushrooms in the cave. He seemed very agitated by the number of mini-mushrooms he was collecting —Keep spitting out heads, you brat!

With trembling hands, Adam decided to take a silent break and ignored the impatience of the old man. The conclusion of the many tests the young man had performed was terrible: he couldn't stop once he started reading the first sentence. In that case, if the heads doubled every time he read the sentence from the book, the number of heads could end up flooding the cave.

Seeing his unpromising future, Adam decided to prevent the problem before it happened. He approached his desk, took a pen, and headed back to the lake. Once there, Adam looked at the pen for a while, gathered enough courage, and decided to pierce one of his ears with the pen to become deaf.

*mmmm*... biting his other arm to avoid making any noise, the young man gathered strength and tried not to fall into the water to prevent his ears from healing.

—Nooooo!—The old man yelled desperately. It caused her two eyes to form on her face and watch the scene with terror, the disappointment was such that her two stone eyes seemed to turn red with anger as he looked at Adam with hatred —Right now, you're going to kill yourself? Why don't you read that damn book first, you ungrateful brat?!

Adam ignored the delirium of the old man and mustered the courage to pierce his other ear.

*mmmmmm*... biting his arm again, Adam prevented himself from screaming. It seemed that the plan worked because now the young man couldn't hear the old man, who appeared to be yelling insults from the ceiling as if his life depended on it.

Adam picked up the book again and started reading like crazy. As he read, bolts flew all over the cave. But the young redhead soon noticed a problem. It was convenient for the young hero to go deaf and not hear the explosions of the mini-heads, and avoiding confusion with his own voice. However, Adam realized that he could still hear the mini-heads murmuring or shouting the sentence incorrectly.

Fortunately, the young man was mentally prepared now and read the first page's first sentence without any issues. He immediately moved on to the second page. But before he could start reading, Adam noticed the characters on the second page disappearing, forcing him to speed up his reading. The young hero read frantically, making sure the book didn't get stained by the blood dripping from the cave's ceiling.

By now, the cave was filled with shouting heads since the blind old man, for some reason, had stopped blowing them up and let them duplicate freely. Since they had no more space to grow, the heads started growing on top of themselves, but they always left a circle around Adam and seemed to avoid touching him.

When there were only about 10 sentences left, Adam's mouth bled from not having stopped screaming like a madman; his mind had long since shut down, and now, he only read the book while trying to ignore the thousands of murmurs and screams echoing in the cave. When there were only two sentences left, Adam said with unbelievable and inhuman speed:

> —Only I know that you know that he knew what we know, but I don't know that you don't know that he didn't know what we don't know.

Adam tried to say the last sentence, but he immediately closed his mouth, causing a piece of his tongue to fly out: the sentence had changed at the last second! In desperation, the young hero opened his mouth again, now full of blood, and read the new sentence with half of his tongue:

> —Only I know the truth, which you'll never know, that he's unaware of, and that they decided to conceal, but I don't know your emotions, which you never told me, that he hides from me, and that they pretended not to know. I love you, but this isn't working...

Just as Adam was reading the last word, he felt a strong blow from behind, as if a bomb had exploded inside the cave. Adam flew through the air and crashed into the wall made of heads. His body split in half from the impact, and he immediately fainted from the pain, landing on the lake, which by now was dyed red and full of colorful mushrooms floating.
